TheDarkness Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Considering that the one orc's hairpeice is solid white, I would assume that the picture is a prototype. And then there's the Atlantis helmet, and the Kingdoms armour, and the big "confidential" watermark... I was hoping along those lines. I can't wait to get a hold of these minifigs! Cheers
Dwellington Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I guess the Atlantis helmet will replace the uruk helmet because it is a prelim My favorite part of that picture is the plate on the side of the structure that just has DECO written on it.
Artanis I Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 My favorite part of that picture is the plate on the side of the structure that just has DECO written on it. Yeah that's awesome. Not sure how this set (and the other exclusives) was leaked from a catalogue though, that's unusual.
Fives Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Yeah that's awesome. Not sure how this set (and the other exclusives) was leaked from a catalogue though, that's unusual. That is what makes me think this isn't an exclusive. Yes, I realize that it wasn't leaked until much later after th other sets, but it doesn't seem like an exclusive, for two reasons: A) it has no special or unique (non-generic) figs, and B) a theme that is just starting would not have an exclusive right away.
deskp Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Wait, is the armour printed? They must have changed from the version we saw in the wallpaper thing. Hopefully we'll get the white hand a few times, preferably on the helmets if printing isn't too hard. No I mean the scout armor is printed onto their torso underneath their armor-piece. The orc forge looks quite cool, lets hope we get more than one orc face, we've seen 2 torso prints so far. I wouldprefer if the orcs wasnt all the samecolor. Edited February 11, 2012 by deskp
Dwellington Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 What would be really neat, considering the Orcs have a hair/ear piece, would be if each kind of Orc had a double-sided face. If they were to make just two of each kind of Orc (Mordor and Moria) that's still eight individual Orcs. More once you start mixing torsos and such.
Brickmamba Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Aren't they dark tan? Olive green wouldn't make much sense in that scene. Most likely will be tan of some kind, never trust preliminary pictures

Bah, I hope not all of the orcs have that hair piece. And being able to have them without any headgear would be good. I hope we get the proper mordor orcs later.
Lynx Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I like Gandalf's beard a lot more on this catalogue photo compared to the official picture. The hair on the side of his head makes all the difference.

But I do find it a little odd that there isnt buildt in hair with gandalfs beard.. Just a little half arsed bit.

I also wish that they had made his hair and wizard hat one piece, like Jack Sparrow and the hat. That would have been much more realistic.

Shroffy123 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Any chance we will be seeing new pictures today or possibly tomorrow?
LEGOman273 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Any chance we will be seeing new pictures today or possibly tomorrow? NY Toyfair is tomorrow (12th) so we may get pics from there.
K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The Orc forge looks eh to me, so I'll probably pass on that one too. I do look forward to potential Toy Fair pics tomorrow!
Delta 38 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 No I mean the scout armor is printed onto their torso underneath their armor-piece. Ah, right. I think the armour piece is a bit plain though, it could do with some anyway. Also, curses! I missed the image, whatever it was...

I don't think there is much they could have put on the armor. In the movie, it is very much plain. As for the pic, it was a prelim of the Orc Forge. I am actually quite excited for this set, and I think I will buy two, and build one correctly and the other mirroring the first, so I can put them back to back to create one big building/forge. Also, I think there will be at least one or two Uruks in that set, and then the three plain orcs.

Uruks are my favorite badies and I really look forward to future sets for more, but I'd also like to build an orc army. I think the set is very nice and I look forward to seeing it finalized.

Human could be a human error, lets hope not.
