Fives Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Bilbo's face looks great! Overall, the figure is really awesome! I really hope that we get more alternate faces, though, since those expressions won't really work with scenes set in Mirkwood, or the troll scene. Can't wait to see the rest of the Bag End figs up close, along with the set itself, which I hope will be a full building/hill with a roof/hilltop.
deskp Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Gelandriel has her own poster, hopefully she'll have her own minifig. IMAGE LINK A Tauriel and geladriel minifigure would fit with legos response about no females in lotr wave.
deskp Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Double post. Delete this is possible, sorry! Edited July 12, 2012 by deskp

IMAGE LINK A Tauriel and geladriel minifigure would fit with legos response about no females in lotr wave. For a second, I thought that was gonna be a link to a LEGO poster of Galadriel. Still, it's interesting to see her alone on a poster for The Hobbit. I really hope that LEGO makes a new female elf hair mold that can be used for Galadriel, Arwen, and Tauriel. I'm really excited to see what Tauriel will look like, both as a mini figure and in the film. I'm having a tough time imagining Evangaline Lilly as a blonde elf, unless she will be a dark haired Mirkwood elf.
wesker Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) There's a description of Tauriel here: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/04/27/55378-hobbit-footage-review-massive-spoilers-full-coverage-analysis/ Apparantly she will have brown hair and a similar costume to Legolas. Gelandriel has her own poster, hopefully she'll have her own minifig. IMAGE LINK A Tauriel and geladriel minifigure would fit with legos response about no females in lotr wave. Looks like she has a different costume to the LOTR trilogy. Edited July 12, 2012 by wesker
deskp Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Looks like she has a different costume to the LOTR trilogy. Its really just a change in the fabric, the broche(?) is the same and the basic shape of the dress is the same. The tiara/crown is a bit more fierce. Nothing to justify 2 minifigures atleast.

Nothing to justify 2 minifigures atleast. She never had a gold brooch in LOTR. Also, her tiara isn't that different form the LOTR version, if at all. I think they could make a Hobbit version of her, in her white dress, and then a LOTR version that depicts the way she appears to Frodo if she were to have the Ring. That would be really cool, and would justify two completely different figures, and could add a bit of excitement into a possible Mirror of Galadriel set.
SirBlake Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Apparently tomorrow is a big day for LEGO/Hobbit: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/07/11/58760-lego-announces-the-lord-of-the-ringshobbit-thursday-celebration-at-comic-con/ According to that link we'll see one Hobbit set. I agree with the idea that it'll be Bag End. Edited July 12, 2012 by SirBlake

MikeyB Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Can't wait to see what they come up with the Hobbit line. I know we will likely only see one set (and I agree it will likely be Bag End) I wonder what those Bilbo Baggins that are going to be available during the scavenger hunt tomorrow are going to go for on Ebay?
Spider-Man Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I can't imagine them being too much. They look like the same ones that will be coming out in December anyway so I wouldn't even consider buying it just to have Bilbo a few months early.

They are propably gonna go for TOO MUCH, but it doesen't matter seeing as it isn't exclusive.
hiroki Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I wonder what those Bilbo Baggins that are going to be available during the scavenger hunt tomorrow are going to go for on Ebay? Saw one with a Buy-It-Now of almost 80 US dollars. I'd rather wait for the formal announcement of the Hobbit sets to see if the Bilbo minifig is unique in design or will be the same as one released in the future.

I hope they at least change the hair, to dark tan or reddish brown.
TheDarkness Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 They don't look any different to the other Bilbo in the dwarf picture. No need to rush out and pay a fortune for it
Pate-keetongu Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Not sure is this new at all, but found This from German toy shop that listed the Bag End set. The prizes of the sets seem to be 100€ for every set, but the actual prizes are listed on sets' own pages. So, Bag End sees to be 80€ (60-70USD?) set. Sadly no pics.

deskp Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Ey, wasn't there supposed to be 6 sets? Thought I heard that somewhere. Maybe the 6th set is another "Hard to find"
MrBaggins Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Ey, wasn't there supposed to be 6 sets? Thought I heard that somewhere. Maybe the 6th set is another "Hard to find" I hope it is a set with elves! We will know more in some hours!!
Slobey Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 If this website is to be believed the sets will be roughly equivelent size/parts/minifigs to these LOTR sets Bag end = Mines of Moria Mystery of the ring = Gandalf Arrives Attack of the Wargs = Attack on Weathertop Fleeing from the Mirkwood spiders = Slightly bigger than Shelob Attacks Cave of Orc King = Half way between Mines of Moria and Helms deep Just a bit of perspective.................
narbilu Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Sadly no Elven sets But there is a warg set! Now the wait to see if these are real There is still hope for an elven set as 79004 isn't mentioned on the german site. Dutch site mentions 15th of december as release date, including 79004. Disappointing to see that in 4 of the 5 listed sets, Bilbo is mentioned. (Feels a bit like HP, I think I have over 10 Harry's) Edited July 12, 2012 by narbilu
