This is the ONLY set from the line we have seen so far

Just kidding. I take it we can consider Lotr/Hobbit into one line.

I wonder how the categories on BrickLink will be divided.

i would imagine similar to how they work the current superheroes theme. All encompassing but sub-divided out of Lord of the Rings into The Hobbit as SH does with Batman II

The set I've always wanted is one linked to the Shire. Bag End is perfect. I, too, am guessing that it's about $60. It has one more minifig than Weathertop but no horses, and the set size looks fairly comparable at this point. It's going to be a Hobbit-y Christmas!

The more I look at the Bag End set, the more I find myself blown away! When I first saw the pic, I didn't feel like I was looking at a set, but rather a really good MOC.

I was surprised when so many people were saying how amazing the set looks, and it dawned on me that the reason is it looks like a MOC. Compared to any other set in the LOTR wave, this Bag End looks like it could have been made by a fan rather than be an official product! I think that this set will be the best selling set from The Hobbit wave, if not of all of the Middle-Earth sets so far!

This, exactly. That looks amazing for a mainstream set, great first one to roll out. I really hope we get to see more in the next few days.

This set looks great. A total must have for me. Also, Do I see a round door.

I can't wait to see more pictures and the interior of it. This next year is going to be great for TLG.

Well I'm in it for all that green and the figures! Never gotten that much green on any set ever.

yup, those are stickers :hmpf_bad:

They frequently are, then turn out to be print.

Interesting. The set looks a lot more like a detailed MOC than like a traditional LEGO set, to me.

...which means that the set will have a really high piece count - and an absurdly high price.

I agree, that is A LOT of green. But you need that much green to make it "blend" in. It is a beautiful set and I already had all of LOTR and Hobbit on my wishlist. Seeing this only helps confirm wanting them. I can't wait to see interiors and other sets. But my budget...it's hurting.

Wow, that's quite nice. Unlike a few other buildings, Bag End looks "completed". Looks like there's a light brick too.

This is definitely a good set to start off with, and possibly one of the nicest structures we've seen so far. :classic:

look in the backgound (near buzz and woody) you see LOTR sets:

Oh my god. I've never noticed that.

I see Shelob, Helm's Deep, and Isengard. :cry_happy:

Is that a Balrog on the lower left side of the cabinet? :look:
