Yes, but for the second wave! In case you don't know, two movies are made, one 2012 and one 2013...

I am aware of that, but we don't have any information about these next waves, so why should there be a topic about them?

I really like the Bilbo minifigure; since he has the same hair as Sam, he is bound to look somewhat like him, but his face print is different enough for him to be recognized as Bilbo. His (and Nori's) hair color might be a bit off, but I think it would be boring if everyone's hair was reddish brown.

I wonder why Thorin and Nori were on display, though; they clearly aren't part of the Bag Ends set, so I guess it was a mistake as the figs were removed almost immediately. The only thing bothering me is the color of Thorin's body; I think it should be dark blue instead of grey/black.

By the look of the figures we've seen it looks like TLG is doing their best to replicate the dwarves signature weapons. I'm looking forward to seeing how they approach Fili's double blades and Bifur's scyth..........

It is dark blue with light grey arms. The picture makes it show up as blackish because of reflections in glass aswell as the poor quality.

TLG said that they would reveal the other sets "within the next few months"... they said series 8 of the minifigs would be revealed next month too,

but pics of them were found just a few days ago. Don't suppose anyone has an idea of when we might want to expect the next set reveals for The Hobbit?

Looks like Bombur's gonna kick some megablocks with a sausage then... :look:

The only adding on I could think of for current sets would maybe be added onto Moria to include the Balrog?

That seems the most likely, yes, but there are other options, too, like another army pack for Helms Deep with elves (vs. Uruk-Hai), or Orthanc, the tower of Isengard to go with the Orc Forge.

Just started picking up some of the LOTR sets. I like the new wall pieces (1x2) with brick patterns.

Sooo many stickers though.

Building the Mines of Moria I see? That's the only set with a large amount of stickers.

The only other set with stickers is Helm's Deep, but it only comes with 6.

Will we be seeing any other LOTR or Hobbit sets at Comic con or is it just Bag end for now?

The fact that Thorin and Nori were on display, though briefly, tells me that there is more in store for SDCC. Crossing my fingers for that one.

Can someone tell me how you do know about the sets?(not bag end the other new) I was on "summer holiday" with my boat so I have not seen everything about the new sets, just people who guess prices

They are NOT confirmed from any sort of official source.

They were just listed in a German online toy store.

When is that?

I think October. But l hope we get sneak peeks from the sets earlier.

Thorin looks amazing even the pic is barely visable,we can see the new hair piece, his face printing(l'm preety sure he will have double printing one angry and the other serious) and we can also see his new sword piece from the movie, and nori is also amazing since his hairpiece looks very detailed, cant wait to see the other dwarfs!!!!!

I definitely believe the “other sets” posted on spielwaren-kontor24.de are fake/speculation. I think it’s irresponsible that they have been put on Brickipedia as fact. After all, it has already been proven that they had the wrong name for set 70003 — they had it as “Bag End” but it turns out it’s “An Unexpected Gathering”).

(That said, if they ARE real, I suggest “Rätsel um den Ring” would be translated “Riddles of the Ring” rather than “Mystery of the Ring.” But I don’t think they’re real.)

{This comment contains Spoilers for The Hobbit movie)

Fake or not the sets ideas are key moments from the hobbit and l expect lego will make them like the scene with the 3 trolls or the cave with the goblin king or the warg attack or when the spiders ambush the dwarfs and mostly important when biblo meets gollum.

Bag End looks really great. I hope I can afford it and all the other LotR and Hobbit Sets. Unfortunately it's sale time on Steam. A hard time for my wallet :D

Indeed, make sure not to buy anything that's not a Daily, Flash or Community Deal. Otherwise you get ripped off.

Given the 100 euro price for "Bag End" I'd say that's an unreliable source.

Well, assuming that An Unexpected Gathering is NOT the flagship set of the wave, what do you guys think WILL be?

Personally, I would hope for Rivendell as the flagship set, and for there to be a smaller White Council set.

I wouldn’t expect a Lothlórien or Dol Guldur set to be the flagship, since they aren’t even in the book at all. But since they will doubtlessly feature in the movie, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big set for one or the other.

I really doubt it will be the hall of the Great Goblin. Honestly, if I were TLG, I would tend to shy away from “underground” sets other than Moria.

May be not the flagship set, but my guess is a January exclusive.

It has been confirmed that The Hobbit sets will be released December 1st, to coincide with the December 14th release of the film.

Link: Orthanc

If you move from right to left and stop when you see the carboard cutouts of Woody and Buzz from Toy Story, to their left you can clearly see Helm's Deep, and to the left of that you can see the top 1/3rd of Orthanc!

Let's hope that one goes into production!

Ps. Apologies if this has already been spotted.

It's not really the dwarf figs I hate it's the dwarfs in the film I don't like. Their not portrayed as described in the book.

If the dwarves were portrayed in the movie as they are in the book no one would be able to tell them apart, except Thorin. In the book, the only differences between the dwarves are some of their skills, and Bombur's weight. The way they have been designed for the film makes them a lot more distinguishable from each other. Sure, at first, I thought they looked really bad and wouldn't really fit into he Middle-Earth that PJ created in LOTR. But now, I think they look awesome, and can't wait to see their LEGO versions in detail.

Personally, I would hope for Rivendell as the flagship set, and for there to be a smaller White Council set.

My guess would be Thranduil's stronghold. They spend a significant amount of time in and around it, and the barrel escape is apparently the end of the first movie. This is where they can place a female minifig (Tauriel) and possibly Legolas, which makes it a good seller. Lots of play features, with trapdoors, booby-trapped front gates, prison cells and a river exit. If they add a spider or two, you've got multiple conflicts to play around with. It's also something a little different from most of the LOTR scenery, being a woodland fortress.

I would not expect a Rivendell set. Rivendell is beautiful, but it just isn't playable. The only things that happen there are a lot of secret councils. If they do Rivendell at all, it will be as a D2C set like Diagon Alley, and I doubt that would happen for another year at least, when they know if LOTR is a big seller or not. (Also, I suspect it will have figs from the Fellowship, not from the Hobbit.)
