General Magma Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 79004 Looks like that confirms a Wood Elf set then... good. Warg Attack, Mirkwood spider, Gollum's Cave and Cave of the Great Goblin sets seem to be confirmed as well then. I hope they will still do a White Council set, however...
CDC Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Peter Jackson Will Shoot More Footage for THE HOBBIT and Might Turn It Into Three Movies .. http://collider.com/peter-jackson-the-hobbit-3-movies/180491/ We'll surely be getting a lot of sets if they really end up making a third film hehe
fatfrog2596 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Do the pictures of the two dwarves not included in BagEnd mean more pictures will be surfacing soon?
zylek Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Peter Jackson Will Shoot More Footage for THE HOBBIT and Might Turn It Into Three Movies .. http://collider.com/peter-jackson-the-hobbit-3-movies/180491/ We'll surely be getting a lot of sets if they really end up making a third film hehe Yes! Bring on the Hobbit Trilogy!
Deathleech Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 If the dwarves were portrayed in the movie as they are in the book no one would be able to tell them apart, except Thorin. In the book, the only differences between the dwarves are some of their skills, and Bombur's weight. The way they have been designed for the film makes them a lot more distinguishable from each other. Sure, at first, I thought they looked really bad and wouldn't really fit into he Middle-Earth that PJ created in LOTR. But now, I think they look awesome, and can't wait to see their LEGO versions in detail. I don't mind how he changed them to make them more distinguishable, I just wish some weren't quite as flamboyant as they turned out. Mainly the younger dwarves who barely have more than newly grown goatees for facial hair. After all, the long, thick beards are a trait dwarves are most known for so it just looks odd when characters like Thorin and Kili/Fili have facial hair that looks like they grew out in less than a weeks time. Peter Jackson Will Shoot More Footage for THE HOBBIT and Might Turn It Into Three Movies .. http://collider.com/peter-jackson-the-hobbit-3-movies/180491/ I'm so confused. I heard that was a big rumor going around Comic Con, but I thought that it had already been put to rest: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/13/comic-con-no-third-hobbit-movie-for-peter-jackson
SheepEater Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I can't wait to see the second, "adventuring" Bilbo minifigure with that bright red coat.
Clone OPatra Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I haven't seen this cool poster mentioned anywhere yet: It's very limited edition, though, and a CC exclusive. Still, very cool. (Info here)
CM4Sci Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) I haven't seen this cool poster mentioned anywhere yet: It's very limited edition, though, and a CC exclusive. Still, very cool. (Info here) I thought that was the third prize in the LEGO.com LOTR building contest... -Sci Edited July 15, 2012 by CM4S
purpleparadox Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I hope The Hobbit does turn into a trilogy. I'm not expecting it, but one can hope. I thought that was the third prize in the LEGO.com LOTR building contest... -Sci Contest? Wow, I miss a lot. But that poster is beautiful!
Lynx Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I can't wait to see the second, "adventuring" Bilbo minifigure with that bright red coat. Yes, that could be a good looking minifigure. I hope it'll be exclusive to the "Riddles in the Dark" (or similar title) set. Would be a smart business decision for LEGO, and it would free room for more bad guys in other sets. Really looking forward to see all 13 dwarves!
Brickity Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I really can't wait to see the other dwarves! Why did'nt we get clear pictures of the other two though? They were there at the Comic-con. I just noticed we haven't seen any of the females, I hope we get Tauriel at least, I see a really interesting hairpiece.
SheepEater Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) Personally the females I'm most eager to see are the LOTR ones: Galadriel, Eowyn, Arwen... ... heck, throw in Rosie as well Edited July 15, 2012 by SheepEater
wesker Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Eowyn and Galadriel are the only must haves for me. I couldn't care less about the other two.
Niku Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Peter Jackson Will Shoot More Footage for THE HOBBIT and Might Turn It Into Three Movies .. http://collider.com/peter-jackson-the-hobbit-3-movies/180491/ We'll surely be getting a lot of sets if they really end up making a third film hehe I would assume that extra footage has to do more with an extended edition rather than a third film.
Shroffy123 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I would assume that extra footage has to do more with an extended edition rather than a third film. Very true. I believe this rumor was quickly put to a rest by the Hobbit producers at CC.
Dr.Cogg Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I Think the Hobbits 2 Movies according to the galaxies movie theare.
deskp Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Very true. I believe this rumor was quickly put to a rest by the Hobbit producers at CC. We shouldnt debunk anything just yet. Peter jackson would like to make as much content as possible. Peter jackson: "Well, we've been certainly talking to the studio about some of the material we can't film. And we've been asking them if we can do a bit more filming next year. Which I don't know what would come of that, whether that would be extended additions or not. But those discussions are on going… I'd like to shoot a bunch more material that we can't shoot. There's so much good stuff in the appendices that we haven't been able to squeeze into these movies. That's a discussion that we're having, yeah." Atleast we should except heft extended editions! Love the extended LOTR trilogy.
Super Brick Collector Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) *snip* Looks great! Thanks for the pic, this set is looking amazing. The detail on it is great and so are the figures. Edited July 15, 2012 by CorneliusMurdock removed quoted pic
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 There will 99% be an extended edition as there were extended cuts for the LOTR trilogy but I wouldn't expect any sets to branch from it.
Pulp Detective Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) I dont mind a third film, since I want more details from the book to be transfered to the movie because the trilogy were great but didnt have so much detail so I hope we'll see more closure to the book and with the addinional scenes that jackson will add on the hobbit like galandriel or saruman ,then the movie will be epic!!!! And I personaly expect to see a rivendel set since if you go and check the official lego lord of the rings site you will find a sneak peek of elrond, just go and check the games section. Legonardo Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 A third film? I doubt it, although extended additions are highly likely.
Pulp Detective Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Thats a last alliance Elrond, not an Rivendell elrond. Guess we have to wait to find out,if he is from the second wave of lotr or the hobbit wave.Hope we get more sneak peeks for the upcoming hobbit sets.
