Some places had the Harry with a shelf thing polybag.

Monday I went to a local EBGames and asked the clerk about Lego games and lego minifigs. He said that, yes, they would give them out to people buying games and showed me a Harry Potter polybag as example, I think it's that one and I've seen tons of them at TRU. (Sorry, not too knowledgeable about Harry Potter)

I was just thinking about the Uruk Hai polybag. I know it's in the Sun some time in October, and that only costs 50p! So you could have 10 Uruk for £5!!! :sweet:

Well how much is the sun in UK? I have family there I will probably send them 30 pounds and have a horde!

Still just 50p after the whole scenario with phone hacking scandels! Bad news for the papers but good news for us!

Sadly I think you can only get one polybag per person no matter how many sun's you buy. I will probably just get one my self and send in my dad and brother to get one each.

It depends on the decision of who owns the branch - my WHSmiths had a maximum of 2 per person, my friend's 3.

The thought had occurred, but it is mostly at the discretion of the person serving you (so pick someone young and inexperienced  )

Any who, I've had similar promotions where if you go back to the shop close to closing time and ask if they have any left you can simply buy them without the paper  In fact, I've done that twice now!

Of 2014, maybe. January 2013? There's almost no way. We're getting the Hobbit sets only a month before that.

Don't know if this is appropriate to the thread but I have a nice link with a watchable version of the LOTR-videogame Mines of Moria Scene. :classic:

Since we're getting sets off of the second Hobbit film, we wont be getting any LOTR sets January 2014 either. And, if we get some for the third, we wont be seeing any until January 2015!

That's very good! Makes me even more excited for the game.

There's no knowing that for sure. By the second or third film, we could be getting waves that include a few Hobbit sets and a few LOTR sets!

Good point. Doughnut forget that LEGO said that the second wave of LOTR will have a female in it, which confirms a second wave. :sweet:

The female character (that I believe was confirmed on Lego's twitter) could be from The Hobbit. If the rumored set list is to be believed it could be Tauriel in the elf set. Then again I still think we'll get another wave of LotR at some point.

Guys in the U.S. - get to your local Walmart ASAP!!! For some reason, they've put a LOT of new sets on clearance (including LotR!). I just got back and picked up Helm's Deep for $89. They also had Mines of Moria for $54 and Weathertop for $40. Lots of other good deals to be had as well.

Does that mean the line isn't selling well? :sceptic:

Rumors are flying around that the new ending to the first Hobbit movie will be the rescue by the eagles. If that is true, then the film won't touch upon the trek to Mirkwood. That being said two of the rumored Lego sets, escape from the spiders(or whatever they are calling it), and Barrels out of Bond can't be released. What could they replace those two sets with?

Rivendell comes to mind. I'd love to see Rhosgobel, maybe complete with Radagast, his bunny sled and many forest animals.

The fact that the sets are already on clearance worries me, I hope this doesn't mean that the sets aren't selling well because if that's true we may have encountered a new POTC :cry_sad:

Boy, I sure hope not. LotR not selling well would be extremely sad. :cry_sad:

It has to be some sort of mistake, though. It was literally only 3 weeks ago that this Walmart put LotR sets on the shelves; hardly enough time to determine whether they're selling well or not.

I haven't check my local Wal-marts but they don't seem to have much rhymm or reason when putting lego sets on clearance. one I stopped by had several POTC sets on clearance while another one they were still the regular price. Another had a deep cut on some Alien Conquest sets and another had them on clearence but they were only a few cents lower than their normal price ($19.97 vs. $19.99)

I wouldn't worry too much about it being an indicator for the way Lord of the Ring are selling, more just individual Wal-mart stores mess up or set their own clearance prices.

That said, Im going to run down to mine tomorrow to see if they have the Mines of Moria set (the only one I am still missing)
