the ones u see in the cover isent the real lego models

Fell beast's teeth are too thin, and the mumakil's trunk stud it too large, its basicaly just a scaled up and modified version. We haven't seen the ingame models yet tho.

I kind of can understand the revisionism that both Pippin and Merry are placed in the Lego-version of the scene, but I would swap their places at least. :P

Someone was saying they thought the Orc Forge Mordor Orcs would just be workers, and we would see new "soldier" versions. Looks like they used the same Mordor Orcs from the Orc Forge set though.

Yea I know, but it's possible what they let us see in the game that they will produce in reallife? The Fellbeast kinda looks like a possible lego version (the legs etc.).

EDIT: if you look closely you can see the gondor soldiers wearing there normal shields (round on top and below)

The orcs at minas tirith are armored, the ones at the black gate isnt. atleast not all the same like minas tirith orcs.

nomatter what the game does, the "Mordor orcs" are just worker orcs, even the designer says that.

No matter what the case may be, Lego could just give the current Mordor Orcs some chest armor and helms like they did with most of the Uruk-Hai and they would be battle ready.

Makes me wonder if we'll see any new outfits for characters in-game at all (Merry and Pippin should both be in armor on that cover), let alone

outfits for real figures at all. I hope they'll pay attention to that, though.

As for the people discussing the orcs above - I don't think they'll just toss them breastplate armory 'n all and be done with it.

Many orcs had different helmets and armor designs. I hope they can at least have a few variations, new helmets and good armor pieces or torso prints,

for example, along with leg prints.

It's also nice to see a Rohirrim helmet like that, hope they'll use plain or differently printed versions for different soldiers.

One thing that bothers me as well is that ALL of those soldiers, including Éowyn, lack the green cape they always wore in the movies...

Any word if we getting a exclusive hobbit set from TRU, target or walmart?

Supposedly the Escape in Barrels set is an exclusive...

Merry and pippin are in those clothes becuase it's iconic I believe.

It also isn't a perticular scene. Eowyn, The mumakil and fell beast with witch king is from pelenor, while the orcs, rohirrim and gondorians together is from the black gate. Pippin is holding sting aswell.

The cover is just some made up art.

I am really impressed by the mumakil and the fellbeast.

I will have to get one of each. (At least).

Wow, thanks for sharing!

Those designs look great for the Fell Beast and the Oliphant. And Ewoyn looks fantastic! Hopefully we can expect to see each of them produced someday.

Indeed those CGI Fell Beast, Oliphant, Witck-King, and Eowyn do look awesome! Even if this is just from the video game, it gives us a great chance that we'll see them in future sets. :cry_happy:

I recall an interview with some LEGO person in which he was asked if there would be any female characters coming soon. I believe he said that yes, in the next wave of LotR sets, there would be some. So… could Eowyn be coming up? LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 did have some designs reminiscent of not-yet-released minifigures, if I remember correctly.

There was also a CGI image of Galadriel in the game that has surfaced before, so either Eowyn or Galadriel might be the best bet(s) to be released in an upcoming set. Though if we base it on the cover image of the game, that already looks like a pretty good set (Eowyn, Merry vs. Witch-King in Fell Beast = the most lopsided match-up with the most unbelievable result  ). Looking forward overall, considering there are only three prominent female characters in LOTR (Arwen the third one), it's bound to happen that we'll get those three after the license is over.

A set of the Witch-King with molded fellbeast, Eowyn and Merry would be off-the-charts! I'd hope for a properly dressed Merry (Rohan armor), though.

I guess it will be a long while before we see them in plastic, but that's alright. After all, there are seven more dwarves to be revealed in the Hobbit sets. I can't wait for pictures!

I've noticed few things:

-lovely Gondor soliders  (this time without helmet printing)

-one of Rohan warriors behind Merry/next to fell beast has got new print on his helmet

-Haradrims on Mumak have got black ninja headgear and dark read torso.

Eowyn looks very minifig-realistic, I believe it's a teaser and they'll release her in one of next wave's sets!

Hovewer I don't believe we'll get a painted sword.

About the Mumak... Novadays, when LEGO games show more naturalistic landscapes, buildings and interiors, without any bricks and LEGO style at all - no wonder that his trunk isn't a real LEGO piece. But its construction contains many real LEGO pieces and great techniques... The beast itself should be huge - it would be great to get one, even as an expensive set.
