Eowyn looks very minifig-realistic, I believe it's a teaser and they'll release her in one of next wave's sets!

Hovewer I don't believe we'll get a painted sword.

About the Mumak... Novadays, when LEGO games show more naturalistic landscapes, buildings and interiors, without any bricks and LEGO style at all - no wonder that his trunk isn't a real LEGO piece. But its construction contains many real LEGO pieces and great techniques... The beast itself should be huge - it would be great to get one, even as an expensive set.

I could see a 60$ Mumak set. I can see a Gondor set Merry and witch king. Maybe Lego will focus on the black gate??

How do you know that? I never heard that *huh*

It was referenced on the German retail site, and it is the most logical set to be an exclusive IMO.

-one of Rohan warriors behind Merry/next to fell beast has got new print on his helmet

-Haradrims on Mumak have got black ninja headgear and dark read torso.

How did you see this? Whenever I try to zoom in, it shows nothing but a pile of pixelated stuff...

Hello there, i just found this picture of aragorn, what do u think about him?

LEGO Aragorn Recolour

I'm pretty sure this is old news, and it's not an official figure either.

Looks better than it does with the colors of the official one still, though "tier 1" of the clothing should be grey (the part inside),

followed by brown and then dark brown on the outside. I believe that's the way he should be, accurately speaking.

I can easily see them making a molded Mumak and Fel Beast. I mean look at the recent Dino sets, they have some fairly large dinosaurs in them. The T-Rex Hunter set has the huge t-rex and is $69.99, while the Triceratops Trapper has a slightly smaller, but still fairly large triceratops for $49.99. I too could see them making a Mumak set for $50-70 and include a Mumak with a few Haradrim on it's back, and maybe a couple Rohan soldiers on horseback. An Eowyn/Merry vs Witch King set also seems likely. I could see them making it into a set similar to Shelob Attacks. The Fel Beast is about the same size as Shelob was and you get three minifigs as well with Merry, Eowyn, and the Witch King. The only problem there being I don't know if that would qualify as a building set with no brick parts to really build a creature or structure, and that is the only license Lego has for the Hobbit/LotR.

Btw, I haven't seen anyone mention it, but is that Gandalf the White on game cover? He kinda looks like he is still in his gray garb, and has his hat on from when he was Gandalf the Gray... but his staff looks like the one used when he becomes Gandalf the White? *huh*

No no, that is gandalf the grey all the way. the staff is nothing like the white staff, also it has the glowing crystal from moria ;)

I can see it fine when I make the image full size, I don't see the different Rohan helms though...

It's still has a lot more going on at the top than the staff we got with the Gandalf Arrives set, despite the crystal.

Ok guys I was wondering, why the hobbit sets,(the official and the unofficial) have 5 numbered code??like 79000,i remember sets from themes have 4 number not 5.

Well, it seems like TLG is going to start using 5 digit set numbers next year. The Bag End set's number is already confirmed.

The video game is already doing diferent things with gandalf staff comapred to the set.

The "printed" rohan helmet is on the left side of the fell beast, it looks like its got printing from the rohan soldiers torso... scales and straps.

I recently saw the Dino triceratops part at a friend's house and have noticed how much it reminds me of a Great Beast (The giant rhinos seen pulling Grond in the battle of Minas Tirith), if it only had a different head. I'd love to see one of these in a set!

True, and there are several other differences as well like the hobbits all having skin colored feet instead of brown throughout their legs.

Ahh ya, I see it now. That is the ONLY one out of all the Rohan soldiers that I see though. I wonder why...

Don't linger on it these are just background elements that are hardly visible on the actual covers.

Not nessecarily representative of the ingame elements

Fellow Canadians!! *oh2* *oh2* *oh2*

(EDIT:And residents from Australia, New Zealand and the UK!!!)

Warner Brother's online merch shop now sells LOTR sets (minus Orc Forge) at USA MSRP price and apparently ships to Canada - you know what that means!!! I haven't tried ordering yet (I'm in the process of moving) but I will definitely get my 2nd Uruk Hai army set from them if they ship to Canada.

Anyone care to try it out?

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. I can see the ninja headpieces on the Haradrim,

but I can't see anything of the aforementioned printed Rohan helmets...

To be fair, the staff in Gandalf Arrives shouldn't be the same staff he uses in Moria, in the game footage we've seen. He lost the Gandalf Arrives staff when he was captured by Saruman (I just looked thru Art of Fellowship Of The Ring the other day, and either Alan Lee or John Howe noted how Gandalf needed 3 staff designs: the one he loses in Orthanc, the one he loses in Moria, and his staff as Gandalf the White). Perhaps a Moria-Gandalf minifigure (if we get Gandalf v. Balrog set, maybe) will have a brown technic bush and a clear jewel to turn the Gandalf Arrives staff into a proper Moria one--of course, the game art poster shows a different connector to mount the jewel on the staff, so who knows?

I hope that Gandalf's staff in the cover gets made into a real mould :cry_happy: It looks awesome

It already exists, its not a new mold, but rather parts put together..

Personaly I think it looks quite bad, The variation with that one technic(?) element looks much better.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't want to sign up now to put an order through so I'm not entirely certain, but international (AU, NZ & UK) postage appears to possibly be a flat-rate $20. If so, that's quite something!

Here is the first image of Thranduil the elven king.

He could be an interesting minifigure. Propably not in the first wave if LEGO wants to keep down their new-mold-budget.

Oh my... I will never again complain about Legolas' dark eyebrows, they are practically like translucent compared to Thranduil's  I think Thranduil is more likely to appear as a fig in some Battle of Five Armies set than in sets related to the Mirkwood episode.
