Where was this dwarf actually shown, though? Is it any indicator of when we might expect to see the rest or at least some others?

We saw Nori and Thorin in blurry pics before but they weren't seen after that again...

Time for an update then:

The Oin fogure is very good in my opinion, BUT the beard being so white is more acurate to how he looked during pre production, the final designed bear has much more grey in the mustache area.

I think they should have left the mouth area of the beard unpainted.

_______

The Oin image was posted online 1. august, I guess the image came from comic con?... there could already be images of the other minifigures online...

Thanks for posting! I think Oin looks great. Still mostly looking forward to Thorin and Ori in LEGO form. Also thanks to deskp for the update!

I think the mustache and beard combo would have looked better with a two shades of grey instead of grey and white... But overall I still like the figure.

Yeah I agree, that definitely would look better. But it's not totally awful.

Nice minifig, though the beard/moustache looks a bit off to me.

Ya, I think all the white bearded minifigs look a little off due to them having a solid white beard rather than having shades of white and grey in it like they do in the film. It's really vibrant and apparent on them, unlike the darker colored beards where it's much less noticeable. With Oin I think they should of almost done his beard all gray like his hair since it appears to have more gray than white coloring in it.

dark gray piece with light gray painting could've been better.

My biggest problem is still that the "mouth" area of the piece is white. makes it seem takced on, rather than integrated.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing Fili in minifigure form. He's the coolest looking dwarf in my opinion, I'm anxious hoping they won't mess him up in any way.

Love Oin! I have nothing against any new hairpeice, but there could be slightly less white...Still, awesome! This theme will give us so many old grumpy man faces!

I hope someone makes a real dwarven army soon. With all the old and new dwarves and hobbits that can easily turned into dwarves it should be easy to have regiments of hammer and axe wielding bearded guys in the style of Warhammer dwarven armies.

I think Oin looks really good! I still think that, of the dwarves that have been revealed so far, Balin is my favourite. About his beard, it could be possible that, seeing as it is a new piece that has two colours, it could be a preliminary paint job, and the final version may be more grey than white. Either way, I can't wait for these sets to come out!

I really like Oin, if this picture is actually from the Comic Con this gives me hope for the pictures of Nori and Thorin :cry_happy:

According to FBTB the picture came from the actor's Facebook page. I would like to see better versions of the Nori and Thorin pictures though :classic:

well you know, the pictgure itself isn't captured from facebook, the real minifigure was somewhere when it got pohotographed.

The actor seemed very happy about being made into a minifigure, wich is fun to see!

I didn't knew that TLG gave minifigs to the actors before their official release :look:

Smeagol

<snip>

Looks like those character unlocks in the image are for PS3 & Xbox only.

Thanks for the link, good news for Aussies. It seems EB Games is under Gamestop.

EB Games have LLOTR for preorder in Australia, release is in November. Preorder includes Elrond minifig, prices are: $78 Xbox360 & PS3, $68 Wii & PSVita, $58 3DS, $48 DS & PC. Guess which one I'll be getting... the cheap one that will work on my computer...
