Captain BeerBeard Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 @DD Please don't post my Flickr pic's here. I get everything early, if you post it for me that kills it. I would review the game days ago.
Legonardo Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 sorry beery, Ill take them down now, just thought that some people would like to see thorin and nori ~Dangerous
Bricktooth Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Has this pic been posted? It's not watermarked, so I think it's okay to post it here: *snip* EDIT: Just read Captain BeerBeard's post. Edited September 24, 2012 by Bricktooth
Miles Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Brickset.com's News page has a picture of the New Hobbit Board Game. Apparently it's out at Toys R Us already? http://www.brickset.com/ It's only a matter of time...
HawkLord Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Given that the Hobbit action figures are already being found at some TRUs and are due to hit mass retail Oct 1st, it makes me think we should be seeing some Hobbit Lego sets soon enough. No use in keeping the Legos secret when all of the Hobbit action figure pics are floating around already.
Schiller Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 WIRED has a new article about the upcoming game (with what I think is a new image). Worth a look. I can't post a link yet because I don't have enough of a history of posting here, but if you google "WIRED" and "5 Things You Didn’t Know About the Lego Lord of the Rings Video Game" you should find it.

Schiller Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 That's the one, thanks! Nice to finally get a good look at the Balrog, and with any luck we'll see that armored troll in a set at Minas Tirith or the Black Gate!

Pulp Detective Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I can't wait until Oct 11. When the sets gonna be reveald at NYCC.. same,so we have to wait at least 2 weeks more.
nrg Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 same,so we have to wait at least 2 weeks more. feels sooo long....
Pulp Detective Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 feels sooo long.... yea...but if you dont care to much the time will pass fast without even notice.
Legomaster34 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Baddies, That sauroman is good, should wear a skirt peice tho. Is that the cover for the video game, or just a promotional picture? Either way it looks awesome, but I like the older picture better for the cover.
Krulis Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Saruman and Mordor troll are awsome. I really that they will appear in some future sets.
RaincloudDustbin Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 That Saruman is surely too good a design for TLG to pass up for a real fig...
Ultron Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Haha I find it funny that shelob is eating someone. Sweet picture though
Nuju Metru Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks for the picture, deskp! They all look gorgeous... I'm so excited for this game!
Schiller Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Another about the game, this one showing some additional scenes!
TheLegoDr Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 That image is awesome. Saruman looks awesome. I can't wait for that figure (with yet another new beard). The Balrog is perfect. I love the flame whip. Don't you need the old style flames to connect them properly?? I wonder if they will reuse that old mold then. I can't wait to see more LOTR sets. I may have to cut out other themes to make sure I purchase all of the LOTR/Hobbit sets.
deskp Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 That image is awesome. Saruman looks awesome. I can't wait for that figure (with yet another new beard). It's gandalfs beard, but printed.
TheLegoDr Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Well, that works too! I guess I haven't studied any of the figures too much to realize it wasn't another new mold. But I like how it is printed. It definitely looks different enough! Edit: I guess when I first looked at it (and I still can see why I thought that), that Saruman's beard was actually the hairpiece and beard combined similar to the CMF caveman. I can kind of see a crease where they would be separated though. Edited September 24, 2012 by TheLegoDr
Yope Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Awesome! I've been eagerly waiting to see Saruman, not dissapointed! One comment on the troll: it looks as though there are moria/mordor versions of that too.
