Well, it's nice to see that Greece has to honour to be the first to receive the sets. Thanks for the pics!

No prob, yea I was quit suprised when I saw that the sets were alreay anavailable, but the prices are painfull,I mean the set costs 17 euro and extra the shipping I paid 20 euro still I'm planning to buy the set with the spiders.

Wow LOTR343... Here in portugal prices are still cool, pretty much like the lego shop @ home. I get almost everything from amazon.es and amazon.co.uk, free shipping to Portugal. Although lego is still "cheap", they have been raising the prices on sugar, flour, the basics...

congratulations on getting the set so early.

There are tutorials on how to post pictures on the forum here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19193

Remember that you can't upload photos directly to EB but to an image hosting site, then deeplinking from there.

Well I learned how to survive with those prices all those years, and it wont stop me from collecting the hobbit sets. Edited by LOTR343

This means we should be seeing the sets pop up at TRU (and other places shortly after) very, very soon I would imagine... I mean the movie is due for release in less than 2 months now and the Lego sets are spose to be "officially" released in just over a month...

I recomend using flickr for uploading alot of pictures, or tinypic.us for fewer images.

To upload pictures, just transfer them from your camera to your computer, and make sure you know where they are on your computer. Then just get an account at a site like Photobucket and upload them there, Take the image url from a picture after it is uploaded to photobucket, and use the Image button when posting on eurobricks (beneath the smiley, looks like a polaroid photo). You'd be a record-breaking early reviewer and would know untold fame and glory in the community.

Nice to hear that the sets are already out in Greece, so not too long when we see them popping up in other places too :wub:

There is 0% chance that happens. They may go up before then, but they won't be for sale until December 1st on the site, maybe a few days earlier in store, and probably in a week or two from now at TRU in the US.

Eh, it was wishful thinking anyway. Thanks for indulging me. But it is exciting that we are only a few weeks away(possibly) of seeing the sets in stores here in the US!

So since you have a copy of the set, is that a new print for Gollum?

Yea he has a more evil look on his face.

@ Missing Brick (I can't quote because the loading is taking too long) I think that was just an error with the Frodo duplicate. On Saturday we should still get Uruks.(Next Saturday)

Annoyingly, the free Uruk polybag seems to have been removed from the Sun UK newspaper special offer. It's been replaced by a duplicate Frodo set http://www.thesun.co...ffiliates/lego/

I guess TLG decided they can make more money by selling them at full price to army builders. That's a shame cos I was hoping to pick up a few.

I clicked the link and it looks like they changed it back to the Uruk-hai polybag for Saturday. When I first saw the poster on Brickset it had the Uruk-hai/Frodo shown, but when I would click the link there to the Sun page (same link you supplied), it just listed Frodo for both Saturday and Sunday. The whole LotR polybag thing has really just been a pain to be honest though. First it was suppose to be released a couple weeks ago through the Sun and now it keeps switching between Frodo and the Uruk-hai for Saturday. Here in the U.S. we don't even know when or if we will get the set. I heard it was available at Lego Discovery Centers, but have no confirmation of that. I realize it's just a fun little set and not suppose to be a big deal, but the complete lack of info on it is annoying. Luckily neither minifigure is that hard to get in a normal set, and you can buy fully armored Uruk-hai with the same weapon for around $3 on Bricklink, about a dollar less than a polybag would usually cost. Sure they don't have the bricks, but I doubt many people are buying the polybag for that dinky ballista

I was just at a LegoLand discovery center earlier this week and I didn't see any polybags like that. They had a witch head and turkey polybag, but that was it. Maybe others have them though.

I think they were available earlier this month, but it seems some people literally bought or took hundreds of them to sell at jacked up prices on eBay. I can only assume this is the case because most the eBayers selling them are located in the same city as a Legoland Discovery Center and I don't know of any other way to currently get them in the U.S.
