Fives Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Hawkman, since you have the Warg set, could you possibly take a few pictures of the Wargs and figures?
HawkLord Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Hawkman, since you have the Warg set, could you possibly take a few pictures of the Wargs and figures? Scratch that - I'll see what I can do. Edited November 11, 2012 by Hawkman
Prominence Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I definitely can (I have a great camera), but I'm not sure how to post them on this site. I've used forums in the past that just let you add pics as attachments. Have you ever done a YT review?
Shroffy123 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I picked up the An Unexpected Gathering set at a Fred Meyers here in Portland on Thursday. Over on Rebelscum, a user in Seattle reported finding the other three sets, but I haven't seen them here yet. I'm in Portland too, and was just in a fred meyers! Told myself to just go check it out and see, maybe they're in stock. But decided against checking :(

KyleJohnson11 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Bah, Fred Meyers prices are better than LEGO's! Always. They always seem to have a 10% off Home coupon (works for toys). Wasn't the Unexpected Gathering set confirmed to be $60? Please scan the page, too! I will not be able to get to a scanner until Monday at work. I do not have one at home.
Shroffy123 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Just went to my local Fred Meyers, no hobbit sets :( Edited November 11, 2012 by Shroffy123
Masked Builder Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Wasn't the Unexpected Gathering set confirmed to be $60? Please scan the page, too! No in my Boy's Life it was listed for $70.
Miles Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 No Hobbit sets in Fred Meyers in eastern Washington yet, but that's not unusual. Stuff usually shows up on the west coast first before making it's way over the pass. Perhaps mid-week next week after the holiday (Monday).
DarthPotato Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Can't wait for these to come out! Too bad that Bag End's officially $70, but it does look pretty big anyway.
Brickity Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Wow the bag end set is quite expensive, I'm not sure if I'll get it now Also, the box art makes the mirkwood spiders set look so much better, but when you build the set alone it looks so empty and lacking of something. Maybe the trees could've been a little bigger? Or the spiders a little better designed.. Edited November 11, 2012 by Otherworld
Mr_Malfoy Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Meh, I think Mirkwood is overpriced, but Barrel Escape seems like a steal (for some strange reason I thought that set would be priced at $80).

Deathleech Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) These prices have all but been confirmed for almost a month now so I'm not really surprised at all. The prices were listed by a number of sites right before NYCC when they did previews of the sets, and a contest leaked the prices as well. Bag End is a little higher than originally quoted SDCC, but that's to be expected. The set seemed like a steal at $59.99. Overall the sets are very reasonable priced. They are all around 12 cents per piece which I feel is great for a license theme with so many new unique molds. No 14 cent or 16 cent PPP sets this time around like Gandalf Arrives or Attack on Weathertop! Edited November 11, 2012 by Deathleech

Anyone know when will they be released in Australia?

US prices are as follows: Goblin King-$99.99 Available date is November 27th Wow, so Fred Meyers had the Goblin King priced at $89.99 and marked on sale at $71.99 - did Freddies make an error in their MSRP? If I'm looking at saving $28, I might just buy a second copy of that set!
KyleJohnson11 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Checke out the Wilsonville, OR store tonight with the family and came up empty. It was hard not to buy any LOTR sets at 28% off and no sales tax.
Captain Settle Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) I thought the barrel escape set would be around £60, and I was still going to buy it, but now at £40 I'm not so sure. It seems very bare by itself and not on the box art. Edited November 11, 2012 by Captain Settle

First time I've seen a lower price discourage someone :P I am happy with that price, however I feel Attack of the Wargs is a bit overpriced as is Riddles of the Ring. It's quite unfair how we have to pay £12 for it and in America it's $10 which is about £6 :( Hopefully the Goblin King battle will be £70/£80

Philip Robin Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Personally, I kind of enjoy the repulsiveness of these Goblins. The think that really irks me is how CGI they are! One of my favourite things about the LOTR films was the amazing prosthetic works done by Weta.

Edited it now.
djmangunz Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Holy crap...it seems no one has seen this yet: LEGO 79008 Pirate Ship LEGO 79007 Eagels Nest LEGO 79006 LEGO 79005 Frodo and Ringwraith It seems as these are the new LOTR sets...goodby money. Edit: But the Eagle's Nest has to be a Hobbit set...is Lego mixing the LOTR sets and the Hobbit ones next wave? Edited November 11, 2012 by djmangunz
