legoviking Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Wow, Lego has done a fantastic job on Aragorn, I can't wait until this line is released!
deskp Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Oooh nice, lets hope they release a new poster each week before the toy fair!
Jack Bricker Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 That poster is great. Everytime I see more of this theme I get more and more excited. I would also love to see an Arwen minifig. That would be awesome as well.
Darth Nihilus Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I officially have a new avie. Aragorn looks amazing.
kevlar Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Aragorn looks amazing. Sure does. Can't wait for this set to come out!
Saruman the White Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I think a gandallf poster will come next
Fives Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I think a gandallf poster will come next I really hope so. Then again, we are only getting Gandalf the Grey this wave, and I don't remember any posters for FOTR with just Gandalf, but maybe LEGO will make posters of their own, which would be great.

That would be great, if they made a poster with Sam and Merry and Frodo fighting some Nazgul. That would be amazing! ...... MUST HAVE MULTIPLES OF WEATHERTOP! By the way, you have the same avie as me! Apparently I'm not the only one in love with the Aragorn figure.

Yeah, it will be tricky to collect Nazgul, but I am really excited for more posters. Maybe posters of the sets? That would be cool! Also, Aragorn is probably the most amazing minifig I've seen in a while, and Anduril looks just perfect. I am SO excited for this theme! On another note, I was thinking a bit about a LEGO LOTR video game, which should happen, and I was having some thoughts on how it could be set up. The hub area could be spread out across Middle-Earth, starting at the Shire, and ending at the Black Gate. Each hub would give you access to levels that correspond with that part of the story. As you progress through the levels, you unlock more of the hub. Also, at each hub, there are the characters that go along with that area, so in Rohan you would find Theoden and Eomer and so forth.
Dwellington Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 The easiest way for TLC to get us a complete and affordable set of Ringwraiths would be a Flight to the Ford "battle pack": -Three Ringwraiths -Three black horses with horse armor -Arwen -White horse -Frodo with a double-sided head (normal face/sickly face) -Like, a rock or a bush or something That would be really rad.

I think: Hub area, Rivendell with the level select bits being shown in frescos like the ones around the Narsil display.
Shasat Spacerider Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I think: Hub area, Rivendell with the level select bits being shown in frescos like the ones around the Narsil display. Oh definetly! I hope LEGO or TT games is trolling this thread because your idea needs to come true.
Dwellington Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Rivendell for Fellowship of the Ring, with frescoes for level selection. Edoras for Two Towers, with tapestries. The citadel of Minas Tirith for Return of the King, with...something else.

The citadel of Minas Tirith for Return of the King, with...something else. Sounds good, except the citadel of minas tirit has like nothing except statues of king, so if they could represent levels with minifigure statues that would work, or make use of the palintir.
Elander Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) ...... Ohhhhh man, I can't wait!! In February 2012 are the major Toy Fairs in New York and Nürnberg! That's 10x weeks to wait. I will be soooo thrilled for the first pics, infos, official confirmations... what ever I do count the days: Toy Fair Nürnberg 01.-06. Feb. 2012 -> That's are 60 days to wait. arrg that is too long. Damn, is that great! Meanwhile we knows that LotR will coming. And in 17 days starts the first Toy Fair in Nürberg. I hope we will see then the first detailed pics of the Lord of the Rings. deskp Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 London toy fair 24th january I think, LEGO will be there. dunno what they will be showing, their little text sounded like its from last year.
Dwellington Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I don't mind the wait until Toy Fair, because no matter what they show us, we still have to wait until summer.
Apache Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I really think this FIRST Wave is going to be SOOOOOOOOOO HOT! Kids are going to buy them because the cool Ringraiths and Orcs/trolls and Dwarves. LOTR fans will buy them because the love the movie and then of course the AFOL Castle fans will horde them. I think if we buy them we could see a 5th wave after the 2nd Hobbit wave. Do you think they will use a NEW mold for Aragon's sword or just the one from the Highlander Collectable fig? LOVE THE NEW HORSES and the light tan colored one.... Thank you LEGO, thank you!
Piranha Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 LOVE THE NEW HORSES and the light tan colored one.... Thank you LEGO, thank you! where are pics of the new horses??
Ceroknight Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 where are pics of the new horses?? youtube video?
deskp Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 where are pics of the new horses?? be aware its the same horse design, just a new pose!
Parrothead Rasmus Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Still not sure if I'll like these sets better than Harry Potter, but this'll be great! My highlights are the 9471: Uruk-hai army, 9473:The Mines of Moria, 6469: Gandalf Arrives, and 9472: Attack on Weathertop. And, from the minifigures we've seen so far, the minifigures will be cool. Now I just need a James Bond Theme!
Brickmamba Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I don't mind the wait until Toy Fair, because no matter what they show us, we still have to wait until summer. Well at least there should be more pics and sets are more finalised and more pics for us to drool at until they are officially released
deskp Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Well at least there should be more pics and sets are more finalised and more pics for us to drool at until they are officially released I would think the sets to be completely finalized at the toy fairs. One can expect some sets to have some building errors though, as they ususaly do at these convention things.
