I'm sure he does - it wouldn't make any sense to just print his armor decoration on his torso,

since that would just be inaccurate and makes his armor look way too thin.

I hope they'll make a new armor-piece for him, but I kind of doubt that..

Eomer, Theoden and the Rohirrim soldier (Royal Guard) would be much better if they used

three different helmets with their own unique, accurate designs, instead of re-using the same helmet for all 3 figures.

They have quite alot of differences in the movies - so let's hope they'll go for different helmets.

I doubt a new armor piece will be made, because if they were to do it, we probably would've seen it on the Uruk.

Also, I would love to see more variation in the Rohan helmets, but I just have this feeling that hat won't be the case. But, if we only get one Rohan helmet design, I would much rather it be based on Theoden's helmet, because I love his helmet design, and I just think he has the most beautiful armor of all the characters.

I'm really glad that the door in the side of the tower was included with Helm's Deep, it makes it a lot easier to reenact the movies! I still wish that Legolas was in the Helm's deep set, I mean, watching the films he is in every other scene. I suppose it's good that lego included haldir but I would've put Legolas in front of Gimli any day!

There's also a minifig catapult next to the door. Perfect for recreating the drawf-toss!

I was just looking at the picture from the toyfair and saw that Eomer's torso looks like a shade of green, but isn't he supposed to be dark red?

LEGO incorrectly gave Eomer a dark green cape, so that might be what you are seeing. I wonder if Eomer and Theoden will have double sided heads, and if the Rohan soldier will have a special new generic bearded face.

Oh okay, I knew he didn't have a cape in the movie, I was just wondering why he looked green. But since he does have a cape it is easier to make him look like a generic rohan soldier.

Where are you seeing this?

If you mean the figure on the wall - that's not Eomer, that's a Royal Guard of Rohan, with a golden helmet. Eomer has one in pearl grey.

Although I'm not 100% sure if it's a Royal Guard instead of a regular Rohirrim soldier, I'm almost certain of it being one.

I'm so worried the Eomer figure is gonna fail horribly.

Nothing we've seen so far is making me any less worried for it.

Eh, the figures we've seen so far look fantastic, I can't really understand what makes you worried about it.

I'm sure all other figures will look great as well.

8 days to go 'til we know, unless someone (hopefully) decides to take some close-up pics of everything else before the German ToyFair ends, and shows it here.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or not but it appears that weathertop splits down the middle and opens up, similar to the set Sirius Black's Escape (I'm not great at explaining things). What do you think could be on the inside? If I remember correctly, in the book there was a small sort of cave type thing on weathertop. Not sure about that though. Also, when I zoomed in on the picture, it looked like there was skeleton laying next to Aragorn in this set also. It's kind of hidden behind him though. I don't remember there being dead bodies in the movie!

I'm pretty sure that the other Rohirrim on the horse in the toy fair pic has a quiver, and Eomer never used a bow, so I'm assuming that is the generic soldier, and Eomer is on the wall.

The only thing that's gold on Eomer's helmet are the markings, the rest is silver. (Or in this case, metallic/pearl grey)

I think the one with the quiver doesn't have a cape, so I'm pretty sure that's Eomer. He might have a quiver, but who says the people who set up the displays

didn't make a mistake? They've made plenty of mistakes in the past few years, and they might not even know who Eomer is, so they've just put it there

while assuming it was the soldier - quite sure of that.

Another detail to show that it's more likely to be Eomer who's sitting on that horse is that he doesn't appear to have a cape.

At least, it seems so, although I can spot something dark green.

Eomer does use a bow @ pelenor fields.

If he uses a cape or quiver chanses are he doesent have back printing.

Says who?

There have been so many figures with back printing that wasn't even visible at all, because of capes, head molds or other accessories.

He may have a quiver, but I'm very sure they'll add back printing to him - I mean, look at newer licensed themes of nowadays.

For example, I can't think of any figure from POTC without a back printing - I believe that most, if not all of the figures in that theme use back printing.

Even Jack Sparrow whose hairpiece covers up most of his back had it, or Elizabeth Swann, for example.

With this said - I wouldn't drop your hopes for a back printing on him.

I am starting to really like Helm's Deep, that's the one set I worried about most. It looks Modular and big, fantastic!

Not to mention Batman and Robin. While it's not a very exciting or elaborate printing...

I know these are older, but neither Dastan nor Tamina has back printing.

Yes, but Gool, one of the baddies from that theme, has back printing along with a cape.

Knowing the level of detail LEGO has recently been putting into their figs, and knowing the fact that LEGO seems to be putting extra work into these figs, we should most likely be seeing back printing on all of the figs.

Yes yes Yes!!! I couldn't agree more, the modular feel of it; and the fact that encapsulates the basic look and feel of the movie version is just perfect.

It's not a cave. It is that small inset in the hill where they were camping out that was right next to the steps.

Well yes, that's what I meant.

I think the set might have been better as a slightly raised platform with just the top area, so the ruins and everything. Then again, it'll mean missing out on the horses...

Wouldn't mean missing out on the horses, they dont make sense as the set is now either.

But I agree on your set idea, I would definetly trade in the whole "its a hilltop" for more acuracy in the area of the ruins.

The acuracy isn't very good for a set using as many pieces as its using at the moment.

Image link Something like this would be nice in lego.

I could never see LEGO doing that exact replica out of bricks. I am quite happy with Wethertop the way it is. It resembles the entire scene well enough to be recognizable, without being ridiculously large or detailed, which is what is so good about LEGO and licensed themes. They are able to take an iconic scene or place and transform it into a condensed brick version, while still keeping the iconic feel.

I think soemthing along the lines of Mines Of Moria set would work better for this, but on a plates instead of loose parts.

A "round" base similar to whats in the deth star play set.

My theory for the opening-up function for Weathertop is the same as why Sirius Blacks escape opened up. An extra hiding place and probably a gem or two.

Are the sets at the toy fairs still preliminary, as Helm's Deep still has the dark tan brick sections?

One would think Lego had enough bley bricks around to do Helm's Deep unless they intended to do a bit in a different color.

7 years of fleshies outnumbers 40+ 34 years of yellow figs? :sceptic:
