Posted May 10, 201212 yr Well, here we go, my largest model to date, clocking in at about 60 studs, minus the antenna. It's a big'un, and far tougher than I'd ever dared to dream. It survived the trip to and from AFOLCON, never mind the four days it was being manhandled and shown off. So if you couldn't get to Manchester to watch me pop assorted panels and bits off it while talking rather too fast about how long it took me to build it, have some pics instead. Photoset Enjoy.
May 11, 201212 yr That looks fantastic. I love the detailed interior and the way it separates. I especially love the lines of the ship. Is it based on anything in particular? It reminds me of something, I just can't place what? Edited May 11, 201212 yr by Faefrost
May 11, 201212 yr Looking good I really like the angled sections on the side and the way you did the front. It's cool that you put an interior in it
May 12, 201212 yr Nice! I always like to see large minifig-scale space ships with an actual interior around here. This kinda reminds me of the classic FUTURON theme in coloration....
May 12, 201212 yr Great build ! Though you realize that the antenna always counts right? Lovely ship ... great shaping and some nice colour blocking. But what really steals the show is the modularity and the interior... that's just plain freak'n awesome! Though the sides at the front is a bit flat... maybe bit more slope/greeble/something to the side by the that one window?
May 12, 201212 yr Echoing Soccarkid6, the front of the ship is really great. I often found those blue "helicopter" panels to be pretty tough to incorporate into creations but you have really managed to fit them in well. I also like how this ship seems to be the right size for the amount of figs in it, its hard to describe what I mean but if this ship actually existed I imagine the proportions would be spot on.
May 12, 201212 yr Cool looking starship 'J4ke' , the red decal sets it off totally....nice weapons and that's a huge scanning dish....a bit of an easy target eh ?
