I got my hands (cheaply!) on an incomplete 7745, and wanted to use the parts for something nice. I do not want to use the panorama roof parts, first of all because they are ridiculously expensive and second because I don't think they look quite as good on the 7745 as they do on the metro liner.

So, regular double-decker it is. This is the first quick mock-up I made:

Was it a good idea to keep the white line in there? Is this the minimum acceptable height? I could take a single plate off of both stories which would lower the windows a little but also allow me to shape the roof much nicer. Should I place the windows asymmetrically, for example but the 2-wide on the left at the top and on the right at the bottom?

Comments welcome :)

Personally, I'd stick with the black windows but if possible run the white line below the lower windows if possible. They blend with the baseplate which I don't like, but hey, it's all down to personal preference. If you do go with the white line above the windows, then I'd go with red windows below as mentioned earlier.

Choices, choices. Ultimately Sok, it's down to what you prefer.
