Bilbo Baggins Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I hope this games doesn't has as many glitches as HP Lego games, it probably will though, considering how big the map is going to be Quote
Leo604 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Let's hope they step up the graphics for the Wii U release, assuming they are developing a version of the game for that. Quote

The LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes map was huge, and I've run into very few problems. Quote

Well the wii u exclusive "lego city undercover" doesent really look better, there might be a small increase in anti-alising but other than that its pretty much the same as the other games on xbox/ps3 Edited September 5, 2012 by deskp Quote

deskp Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Tom Bombadil somewhat confirmed! Here is a good acrticle: http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/910670-lego-lord-of-the-rings-preview-and-interview-the-one-brick Quote
General Magma Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Tom Bombadil somewhat confirmed! Here is a good acrticle: http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/910670-lego-lord-of-the-rings-preview-and-interview-the-one-brick Reading that the game isn't actually supposed to have a higher rating but is aimed more at ages 6-12 disappoints me quite a bit after seeing PEGI 12 in the latest trailer. Was to be expected actually, but still... The thoughts of Boromir or Théoden dying in a sillier or inaccurate way have returned. I know that the Uruk got hit with an arrow as well, but he was still moving after he fell over and it's not a (human) main character. Did he not die or something? Quote

If you're referring to the one that blew up Helm's Deep, I'm guessing Saruman probably engineered him that way for that very specific purpose. He looked different from the rest if I remember right. Not that guy, but the guy that is shot by the old man. noone dies in lego games, they just break apart or get smashed x] I imagine Theoden might loose his legs. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 This will be different from every LEGO game before it, but I don't expect anyone to die outright. We'll just never see them again. Quote
General Magma Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) noone dies in lego games Qui-Gon Jinn (got impaled), Padme (died after childbirth), Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Barbossa (felt his heartbeat after trying to eat an apple, then died), Nahdar Vebb (got smashed apart by Grievous off-screen, Kit Fisto catches his skeletal corpse), Jango Fett (although indirect and off-screen), Davy Jones... My main concern is that most of these things just happened off-screen and thus not much like the scenes they belong to (Qui-Gon's death was accurate though), so I guess Boromir will just trip over a banana and fall off a waterfall in that boat they originally had placed him in the movie after all... Lurtz laughing and tossing one near the edge, then running off with Boromir falling down eventually. Sadly this could even work out similarly. Edited September 6, 2012 by General Magma Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Tom Bombadil somewhat confirmed! Hm...yeah, I noticed that as well. Right at the end of the interview. I'd say that's as good as confirmation as anything that Tom Bombadil will be in the game. I wonder if that bodes well for a minifigure? I could see LEGO releasing it as an exclusive at SDCC or something. Quote

The sets and figures are based on the movies and even then, a book-exclusive character wouldn't go well with the rest here. That and I would hate to have SDCC exclusives for this theme since I told myself to at least get all the figures, and preferably all sets as well. There would be plenty of others who'd be against the idea of SDCC exclusives for this theme as well. Edited September 6, 2012 by General Magma Quote

Masked Builder Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Yeah, all of the most recent LEGO games have been E 10+ here in the US, I don't expect anything different for this game. Quote

Walter Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Tom Bombadil somewhat confirmed! I remember that you could use Tom Bombadil in Battle for Middle-Earth 2. He looked accurate to the book and was so awesome and fun. A LEGO Tom Bombadil should be pretty cool, although he will probably only ever be in this game. Somehow I doubt we'd ever see an actual minifigure of him. Edited September 8, 2012 by Walter Quote

The weta designed Tom Bomdabil is better than the bfme2 one He looks really good as a figure x] the real costumed person is abit dull. Quote
Leo604 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I personally prefer the version of him from LOTRO; gives more of a nature feel. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I like the costumed person best, I don't think we'll be able to play as him though. Quote
