Congrats, marshal_banana!

I'm glad this idea got 10,000 supporters. I can't wait for this to become real. But, what about the alcohol in the saloon? Would that be a problem with CUUSOO Corner?

I'm pretty sure the policy was modern consumption of alcohol, which would explain PotC.

Congratulations, mb_bricks !

An excellent concept, with I think an excellent chance of passing the review hurdle.

It also shows that the AFOL community can make things happen if they put their minds to it - Eurobricks, Brickset and other sites can take a big share of the credit for the 10,000 votes.

I can't wait to see what LEGO will do with this....

I can see it now...

"Congratulations! Your model was very good and would be quite a lot of fun! But unfortunately it exceeds the amount of Root'n Toot'n that we allow in our Products."

Then Excessive Root'n Toot'n will be in the updated Guideline Standards...

I don't see price being a problem. You do know it's just one building, not all?

Whats this Polar theme you speak of?

Please do not quote an image if you are not talking about it, it adds clutter to the thread.

Thanks

My apologies. I thought I deleted it from the quote and didn't check the post after submitting. I can't believe I forgot to add my congrats. :hmpf: Ugh...that was a major brain fart. :wall: My bad, Cam.

Congratulations! I will without a doubt be buying this the moment it comes available. I've been chomping at the bit waiting for the 10K to be achieved.

I'm glad - I supported this a while back; I'm a big fan of modulars and mixing it up with other themes would be cool.

Still... whorehouses, saloons, gunfights... might be outside of the core audience. :hmpf:

Maybe they already reviewed it since it was an original product? I'm confused too.

It would not surprise me if Lego has not been keeping an eye on this one, especially when it became clear that it was approaching the 10k mark. This might be an example of the opposite effect of them pre evaluating the Serenity project. They may have known or decided for awhile now that this is a very good candidate to produce, with little to no downside. The fact that it received such a huge degree of support with no underlying pop culture license has got to be something that they were paying attention to.

Regardless congrats to mb_bricks! I think this was my absolute favorite project on CuuSoo and I am so looking forward to it getting made.:wub:

Nono! HISTORICAL Drunken debauchery is OK! It's modern drunk and disorderly conduct that is banned. So Dwarves and Vikings can quaff away! But they aren't going to release a sports bar set or a modern brewery (which is sort of a shame as a brewery would be cool). I suspect that the alcohol ban has more to do with putting it in the modern "vehicle and automobile" themed setting. The cutoff seems to be circa WW I. So an old west saloon should be ok.

I'm sure that there has got to be a way to slip a western cat house past them? Maybe set it up as a musical stage number with a Dolly Parton and a Burt Reynolds minifig?

Congratulations! This is an excellent MOC that really deserves to be translated into a set! I keep my fingers crossed that it will make it! - If it does, I will surely buy it!

Big congrats to MB!

I believe that the model stands a good chance for the review, at least I hope it does.. Not only for MB but also for the whole CUUSOO initiative as I don't think the AFOL world would really forgive a no-go on this one.

Congrats. I think this has a good chance of happening, Lego have a selection of buildings to choose from. Price/piece count might be an issue, previous sets have been relatively small, but the pieces are fairly standard. I just hope they don't try and turn it into a city sle 'simplified' building.

Also, as Lego have said they'll only produce one building, I'd at least like alternative instructions either from Lego or the originator, so we can buy multiple sets and convert them into the other buildings with a few extra bricks here and there

I think they will make one building for starters,

but i do believe they will make it +- the same as the original,

as this project was pushed by the AFOL community.

They do seem to realise this as it is said in their post

about getting to 10k.

If the first building is a succes for them (think dollars),

i guess they might release one periodacly like the town modular buildings.

Anyway, i am excited!

Well done on reaching 10000 votes. It's good to see a non licence set reach the review stage. I still can't help but notice that this will look awesome with the back to the future Delorean.

I hope it will be released for real.

If so, as a fan of western movies, these modulars will belong to my collection for sure!

I'm now waiting for those buildings to be released by TLG.

A lot will depend on what people filled out in the "what would you pay for such a model" input field. If loads of people voted 50 dollars, then the building will be small. If the majority said 150 dollars, then it'll probably be a modular building sized model.

I really hope it will be the latter. It's about time something really nice and big comes out of this Cuusoo thing. All it has produced up to now is two Japanese sets and a "Micro world"!

Anyhow. I agree with the people who say that if this doesn't pass the review, then we can just as well give up on Cuusoo. TLC is practically forced to make something of this, if they want to keep the trust people are putting in the platform.

Personally, I don't care much for the whole western thing. That said, I am very glad this has made it to 10k supporters as a non licensed product. It boosts my faith in the system and I hope it makes it through the review.

Good luck!
