barman Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I don't know why... I think it's because I love trucks more than sportcars, but this is your best MOC so far for my personal tast. The Defender looks spot-on and again with all functions. It is just great to look at and see it working I due really like your 5 speed gearbox + reverse. Combined with a high and low gear ratio and breaks... WOW. Best offroader I've seen so far!!! Keep on building! Quote
Lipko Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I also think this is the best MOC you've made, especially the mechanics. To be honest, your older MOCs had too much features for my taste, some of them were more eye candy features than really usable features. This model is very well balanced, all the functions are actually used and are achieved with elegant solutions. It shows that you are an engineer, not because of the functions, but the overall, very nicely engineered structure. The sequential gearbox is just great, something I wanted to make, but I put the idea on hold, because I thought it would be too big for a manually operated, non-remote-controlled supercar... It seems that it would actually fit, I don't know how big the controller-arm assembly is. Quote
phoenixrising Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Wow, Sheepo, this is simply mind-blowing! I am a fan of Land Rover and also Technic -- this seems to be a match made in heaven -- too good to be true... Quote

jorgeopesi Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 2000 votes ! This thing is getting more votes than the Vampire GT. Why is it getting popular so fast ? The Land-rover has a lot of non Lego fans, I think it has a lot of internet forums. Quote
Meatman Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 It looks like it has been featured on many Major auto forums and I think some Land Rover type forums as well. Making great use of the Land Rover name. Quote
grum64 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Fixed  My english is not very good, and sometimes I make mistakes like that Oh My God!!! This INCREDIBLE MOC speeks more than ANY words in ANY language could EVER say. Your design & building skills are beyond amazing. My MOC's now going back to the drawing board... For a very long time! My life mantra is 'every day's a day at school' and you Sir, are the Headmaster. Respect. Grum64 Edited June 2, 2012 by grum64 Quote
DLuders Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) On his website, Sheepo is seeking input about POSSIBLY publishing PDF Building Instructions for MOCs like his Lego Technic Land-Rover Defender 110, Porsche 911, Mini Cooper, and Bugatti Veyron Lego Technic models. Please go there to answer these questions: "Lego Instructions Survey" "Please take few minutes to answer this poll. Thanks. "Before that, please read these lines: - Of course everyone will can see the complete part list before to get any instructions. - Everyone who has get an instruction will have a full technical support for any questions about that model. "After a lot of request about my MOC's intructions, I think this could be moment. The easiest way to distribute them is throw a .PDF file. To know if the effort worths it I ask you to fill this survey as sincerely as possible. Thanks a lot. "Are you interesed in building MOCs? "Are you interested in building some of the MOCs showed in the website sheepo.es? "Would you like to have instructions for building the most important MOCs showed in the website sheepo.es? "Do you prefer the models with all functions MOTORIZED, or you think that will be fine if you can get instructions for more simple version with all MANUAL functions? You must think that less parts and motors means it will cheaper to built Maybe to avoid some legal problems, I must change some light details of the bodywork and the name of the models(leaving the rest intact), Are you even interested in the instructions? "You should realized that doing intructions requires a lot of work, would you be willing to pay to get the intructions? "Talking about intructions in .PDF, choose the price you think is correct. To get a reference, the Porsche 911 has around 3600 parts, the Veyron around 3000, the Land-Rover Defender around 2800 and the Mini around 1800. Would you be willing to pay "<10 €/$, 10-20 €/$, 20-30 €/$, 30-40 €/$, or >40 €/$ for: * MOTORIZED version's MOC with around 1500 parts * MANUAL version's MOC with around 1500 parts, * MOTORIZED version's MOC with around 3000 parts * MANUAL version's MOC with around 3000 parts." Edited June 2, 2012 by DLuders Quote
Meatman Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I would be willing to pay $50 for Sheepo's instructions, but I would also expect everything to work perfectly. Quote
timslegos Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I filled out the survey. As much as I would love to pay for instructions, I am still a student. tim Quote
