Okay, so some might be tired of a tiny little MOC, so here is what I have been asked to build in Lego.

And here is stage ONE almost complete minus a right hand door (2 weeks away).

There will at least six stages involved in this creation.

Comments welcome.

(Note - not posting any more in the Tradequip topic....all mega project updates will be in this topic)

Edit - completed one single bay gondola......a total of up to 24 of these maybe required.

wow, looks very accurate so far! What kind of brick did you use for the fundament? I don't recognise the type...

Thanks 'Horry', I had to strip both the robbers hideout and forest police station sets for those bricks....replacements have been ordered along with the missing red/trans-clear door.

I will try and have a whole gondola set up done today if possible....again digging up the parts.

Keep watching ! :classic:

Gondolas are coming along nicely.

More to come. :classic:

tiger, looking very good. The size of the door is impressive and I think your representation of it is pretty spot on. The gondola's are looking good as well, but that's something we already knew you were capable of :-)

New brick released this year: Part 98283, 1 x 2 with masonry pattern.

Thanks 'Strikeman', I'm working on this gondola unit again tomorrow. Then I'll start on the longer one (32 stud long).

Oh, by the way.....we shall see if I can pull this off in Lego eh ?

Edit - The red trim strip for the interior wall has been completed, as well as one interior sign.....going great guns at the moment......totally keep watching !

Looks great so far.

Wow, finally a new creation!

I wondered when I would see again one of your masterpiece!

As always I love your decals and the special attention to the tools on the shelves! :grin_wub:

Excellent work so far! . Can't wait to see it all together!

Thanks 'gotoAndLego', 'LT12V' and 'Darthluke824' for your kind words. I've had talks with BOC on Facebook on what should go where, on the side where we don't know what goes where.....welding spares like tips will go there...their quote "Perfect"....I guess that's a thumbs up for that idea. What they want is an actual recreation based on photos taken in 2010 at one of there bigger stores. Keep watching because over two days I put the pedal to the metal.

Looking good tiger :)

Really great work so far LT. The building looks just like the photo you provided.

I love how you incorporated the new brick element into it. It looks very nice without being overused.:classic:

Thanks for comments 'The Blue Brick' and 'alstda', hopefully I will have more work done on the gondola today and perhaps I'll start on the trade counter at the rear of the store.

Keep watching everyone ! :classic:

Edit - I have designed a small welding perhaps a tig welder....fingers crossed and a slightly oversized tank gauge/regulator too !

I hope to have those made today.....must get the parts though first.

Finished the first gondola.

wip_gondola_second_side_left_unit_99.jpg

I might still make some complete welding torches to display as well and also a rack of tig wire tubes.

Comments still welcome.

More tomorrow.

Edited by lightningtiger

Those welding torches are amazing!

Very inspiring accessories!

Thanks :sweet: for the comments 'lego-andreas' and 'LT12V'....er, I haven't done the torches yet.....maybe you are referring to the small welding units or the gas regulators....a little oversized but hey you try and recreate the real world in Lego ?

I might still get a start on the trade counter itself today so then I'll work towards the wall that will be constructed on the far right of the front wall...keep watching everyone ! :classic:

I'm referring to the red boxes (I suppose the welding units) ...I like the slope grille on the side

Ah, yes the small portable tig welders, or what ever welders - they are the smallest I can make - you can not see on the other side of them, so I'll tell that I a 1x2 control panel on the end to represent the connections and controls for the welder. :classic:

I have knocked up a chop saw design....two to made to sit on an end cap.

I'll try and have updated photos for you all to look at later today.....fingers crossed !

A guessing game now.....what is sitting on the bottom shelf ?

wip_end_cap_99.jpg

More still to come....keep watching ! :classic:

oh oh oh! Can I guess?!

My guess it's a circular saw bench? :classic:

The MOC looks real accurate to the real thing.

Love the gondola! Can't wait to see the whole thing finished!

Yes, well chop saw or similar will do too ! :classic:

It's based around a Evolution branded chop saw that BOC U.K. stores do sell.

Keep watching.....more gondolas to come ! :classic:

Thanks 'LT12V', I still have to make a sticker for the saw blade cover to id the brand.....I have also started the middle gondola which will be finished minus stock tomorrow.

Keep watching everyone.....even more to come ! :classic:

Edit - built and designed a mag drill to sit along side the cut-off saw (chop saw), pictures with fresh post later on today.
