Kikuichimonji Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 And I say: don't judge a game after beating it once. Twilight Princess is good, but will not make it into my games top 10 (not yet, anyway). But I agree that it's a game everybody needs to play ;-) Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 Doublepost, I know, but did anyway get Metal Slug Anthology? Us Europeans have to wait untill February before we get it unfortunately, so I was wondering if anyone has played it and can give their opinion on it? And Joe, do you have a friend code yet? Quote
optimus-convoy Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Well by what seemed to be a miracle, I've finally acquired a Wii! :'-) And here's my friend code: 0242 5351 0554 8097. You were all added BTW. ;-) Ohhhh, can't wait till winter break. :'-) Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 The weather channel is now online (at least for Europe). Looks really neat, I had to pick a province first, then the town I was closest to (luckily it had my hometown as one of only 2 options). Looks pretty cool but I doubt I'll use it much. If I want to know what weather it'll be I'll check the paper... Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 The Weather Channel is pretty cool. Has my hometown on it as well. Quote
Cabby Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I received it today. It's a gift i make my wife for Christmas, she's crazy about it. So am i ;-) Quote
Lost Viking Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Yea, the weather channel is neat! I also just rented Elebits, I urge everyone to do so, it is a pwnesome title! I may even buy it... 8- Quote

Scouty Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Cool, Joe got his code, I'll add you :-) :-) . Quote
vahkimetru Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I don't really like video games, but I'll admit this is cool. My cousin has one and he brought it home from college to show me. Quote
ghoulrealm Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Are import games compatible? Specifically are Japanese games playable on the North American/US region machines? It might never be an issue, but if a Goemon game is released in Japan only, I'll be wanting it. X-D GOE GOE! Quote
Cabby Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Are import games compatible? Specifically are japanese games playable on the North American/US region machines? Not out of the box. But manufacturer DATEL (maker of Action Replay, GC Freeloader, etc.) already announced they're working on a Wii Freeloader, allowing to run all regions games on the console. Quote
UltraPrime Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I phoned Gamestation to see what my order status is. I'm number 9 on the list now... Quote
The Kid Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Played my mate's yesterday, and I like! Shame he only had Wii Sports and Wii Play, but it was still good. I played "Tanks" for the first time in my life and scored 31, whereas my mate's score was only 16! 8- Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Well, at least you'll be guaranteed a free Wii Browser then. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 Well, at least you'll be guaranteed a free Wii Browser then. I'm pretty sure it's free untill June, so he might actually have to pay for it. By the way, tomorrow the beta version of the Opera browser can be downloaded :-D Quote
Cabby Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Here's a tool to allow your Wii to read videos (on SD card) in the photos channel: Wii Video 9 *sweet* Now we're talking multimedia. ;-) Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 22, 2006 Author Posted December 22, 2006 Internet channel is now online. I typed this message on my Wii :-D Edit: and I make spelling errors right away. Typing is pretty crappy on the Wii. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Even the browser trial is pretty cool. I'm pretty happy with the typing on the Wii, if you've got a steady hand you're fine. Quote
ReZourceman Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 By the way when the Browser turns into full version and you have to pay for it, its only 500 Wii Points. *sweet* Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Yeah, but I bet most of us will just get it free. I can say now that Rayman Raving Rabbids is good. Very fun, if a little tiring when played extensively. Quote
The Kid Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 By the way when the Browser turns into full version and you have to pay for it, its only 500 Wii Points. *sweet* Is that a one-off payment, or monthly/yearly/etc.? TK Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Is that a one-off payment, or monthly/yearly/etc.?TK Just one-off payment, like the Virtual Console games. Quote
