Personally I think the concept used in the Hulk set is a good way of covering up the backs of XL Stormer-sized sets: an extra torso adds a lot more options.

Whoops, we really went OT didn't we.

Anyway, I really like Gatanui's method DOTM posted. I knew those Metru chestplates would've become useful for HF someday!

I dislike the "two pins" solution because it makes the MTIS stick up much higher than other solutions. It would work OK for some Heroes who you want to look bulky, but for female heroes like Breez or nimble-looking heroes like Surge, it doesn't really work IMO.

Additionally it also hinders the upper arm movement greatly on some heroes like Brealout Evo.

I think I know a solution to getting double-sided armor like on the show, using Stormer's new piece.

Sorry, but I was faster.

I´ve just realized that with the new connector piece Stormer XL uses for leg armor and Core Hunter uses for back armor (if I remember right), it should be extremely easy to cover the empty backs by using another torso armor piece.

They all manage to look awesome on those pics.

I know what you mean. That part will be very useful for mocing, I think. :sweet:

Since back armour seems to be the hot topic now, might as well post my idea I used on my Stormer 2.0.

I apologize for the pictures, don't have time to rotate them right now. And I also apologize for the trauma the sight of my fingers might cause.

That's a wonderful technique you have there. If only I had more shields to use it with...

Also, attachments!

Although it works smoother with this piece:

Love it!

:cry_happy: Thanks, glad you like it! That Hero of yours looks pretty cool too.

The only problem with my solution is that the 2.0 torso plate is slightly pushed and tilted towards behind (I suck at explaining this stuff even in Italian ) since it hits the +o liftarm. This doesn't damage the piece at all however, and it's far less noticeable if you use a Breakout torso plate (totally unrelated- Stormer 2.0 looks good with it- I badly want a silver version of that piece in 2013).

That said, I like how the MTIS and the 2.0 style armour work together, but 1.0/2.0 feet work much better with Breakout torsos IMO.

Welcome :D

It does push the torso armour out slightly, but the gunmetal armour I showed the second time doesn't have that problem c:

MTIS?

Multi Tool Ice Shield. It's apparently the official name of the shield piece.

I guess that problem is restricted to the 2.0 torso, indeed the gunmetal "Jetbug jetpack" piece is slightly narrower so I guess it doesn't hit the liftarm. Same goes for the Breakout torso, to a slightly lesser extent.

Aha! A fancy HF term :D

The 2.0 shell is a little stodgy in the case of under-space. I think it's chest could've been moved forth a little more, to suit techniques like these.

Ah! Your method is very similar to my nephews:

herofactory003.jpg

I think his uses fewer pieces and doesn't push the chest out as much, though. I can also see you had the same idea as him about the spare connection points on the MTIS - he uses it to attach a short sword to the back, and a pair of System spears to the barrels as poison darts.

His take on it is interesting... although, won't it twist around on that beam?

It wiggles slightly, but the chest plate locks it in place.

Just tried it, and I have to say it does surpass mine- and not only because the shell is pushed less forward: this method uses the ooo liftarm, which a much less rare part compared to the 2 +o pieces my technique uses.

You nephew has done a great job!

EDIT: One problem though- the MTIS does move a bit, since it techincally is held by only one pin. Still, it's good idea and it's easy to find those pieces.

Thanks! I'm looking over Kadabra's shoulder right now, and I must say I'm very proud of that technique.
