goldfish Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Hi, What are my chances that I could persuade Lego to do a special edition of set 10231?, this time with Moonraker orange trim and decals! It is the 50th anniversay of Bond this year afterall... 'James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season.' Edited January 28, 2020 by goldfish Indexed Quote
chelman Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Me likey! Very much! I doubt you will convince Lego though. I have better odds at going on a wild binge with Pussy Galore tonight than Lego releasing a Bond-themed set. ;) -What's Bond doing? -I think he's attempting re-entry, sir! ;-) Double entendres FTW! CorneliusMurdock Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Since James Bond is not an officailly licensed theme, I'm moving this over to special. Quote
Shadows Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Since James Bond is not an officailly licensed theme, I'm moving this over to special. Not Town or SciFi or Action or ... ? Ok, seriously, I've never been sure where these go. Quote
LEGO Family Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 This looks very cool. Great color scheme. :) Quote
Rufus Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Nice mod! I was just thinking, 'Where's Drax?' but there he is! He looks a little too happy, though. The only downside is that you've lost the nice contours of the tailfin. Quote

Ecclesiastes Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 ok added to Cuusoo! http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/17256 thanks for comments. As a fan of James Bond I really like this! But about Cuusoo, it's too simular compared to the original set. So I don't think Lego will ever use it! Quote

Well they could use 3367 Or release a detailing set with the parts to convert 10231 to the Moonraker. I supported this on Cuusoo Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I could be wrong, but I just don't see TLG ever doing any kind of official James Bond sets. I think the closest we'll ever get will be the Agents line from '08-'09, and perhaps a Bond-ish "Super Spy" in some upcoming series of the collectible Minifigures. Quote
Ssorg Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Nice rendition of the original set! Oh I'd love to see someone skilled making the Q boat from Moonraker. No I don't mean the gondola, but the other one. Was my favourite Bond gadget back in my childhood! Or still is... Quote
