Hi,

What are my chances that I could persuade Lego to do a special edition of set 10231?, this time with Moonraker orange trim and decals! It is the 50th anniversay of Bond this year afterall...

'James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season.'

Me likey! Very much!

I doubt you will convince Lego though. I have better odds at going on a wild binge with Pussy Galore tonight than Lego releasing a Bond-themed set. ;)

-What's Bond doing?

-I think he's attempting re-entry, sir!

;-) Double entendres FTW!

Since James Bond is not an officailly licensed theme, I'm moving this over to special.

Not Town or SciFi or Action or ... ?

Ok, seriously, I've never been sure where these go.

Nice mod! I was just thinking, 'Where's Drax?' but there he is! He looks a little too happy, though.

The only downside is that you've lost the nice contours of the tailfin.

As a fan of James Bond I really like this! But about Cuusoo, it's too simular compared to the original set. So I don't think Lego will ever use it!

Well they could use 3367

Or release a detailing set with the parts to convert 10231 to the Moonraker.

I supported this on Cuusoo

I could be wrong, but I just don't see TLG ever doing any kind of official James Bond sets. I think the closest we'll ever get will be the Agents line from '08-'09, and perhaps a Bond-ish "Super Spy" in some upcoming series of the collectible Minifigures.

Nice rendition of the original set! :classic:

Oh I'd love to see someone skilled making the Q boat from Moonraker. No I don't mean the gondola, but the other one. Was my favourite Bond gadget back in my childhood! Or still is...
