July 1, 201212 yr I was looking forward to using those servo motors for pneumatic switch's,but the models i was hoping to use them for would need 4-10 servo motors. So i think I will hang off to see if the price falls a bit,any one got any idea on how long it might be to the price drops a bit?

July 1, 201212 yr Wow, that's a lot more expensive than the other PF motors :( That's business. I guess they want to pursuade you to buy the whole set, not just the new motors. We are getting a bigger boat in 2014. Does everything Scottish have to have the word "mac" in it?
July 1, 201212 yr Hi, How come Lego did not use a voice coil in the servo motor, the same thing is used to move the read arm on a hard drive they are incredible fast and incredibly accurate.

July 3, 201212 yr Nice video. Will you please make a video with the servo motor attached to a pneumatic switch? tim
July 3, 201212 yr Nice video. Will you please make a video with the servo motor attached to a pneumatic switch? I don't have to film it to tell you that it will work.
July 3, 201212 yr Nice video. Will you please make a video with the servo motor attached to a pneumatic switch? tim Hey Tim, if you are interested in attaching the servo motor to a pneumatic switch, have a look at my design studies for an autovalve. This may give you an idea about how this can be done. I will test it as soon as I get the motor or it is released by ldraw.org. cheers, Boris Edited July 3, 201212 yr by alpin-ingenieur
July 3, 201212 yr At the very least, you'd need to connect the servo to the switch via an 8T/16T reduction (or other gear train that yields 2:1) or a suitable linkage, to convert the servo's +-90º range into the switch's +-45º range. That way, you won't need an unreliable train controller.
