I think he got them in bulk from lego.

Do you think they are already available via Lego Direct? When I called them a month or two ago they said they would not be available until March. Obviously this date may have changed..

No, not in Germany. I called the Lego Customer Service today in order to get the new PF stuff from the crawler but the friendly lady on the phone didn't even know when the pieces will be available. She talked to the Lego Technic responsible and he said that the release of the new PF stuff depends on how well the crawler sells...

Per the official Powerfunctions.Lego.com "Element Specs" webpage, "The Large Motor will not be available through LEGO.com until March 2013." A similar statement is listed for the Power Functions Servo Motor.

Do they think i'm gonna buy a crawler just to get one servo motor? £140 for the one part I want is a bit steep. Off to bricklink I go!

just bought servo the other day for $29.90 on bricklink, kind of a disappointment that we have to wait so long... but then again their explanation makes sense but I'm definitely not buying another 9398. good set but not good enough that I'd buy two. Only if its the flagship of my dreams...a fully functioning and rc rally car
