Mini Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 One small annoyance - Why is the curved wedge (cab roof) in 7239 not printed, when the one in 7240 is printed. |-/ Quote
The Middleman Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Because one covers just the middle and the other wraps around the sides. Quote
Mini Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 Because one covers just the middle and the other wraps around the sides. Yeah, but its the same size print/sticker. With tampo printing it doesn't matter what shape the media is you're printing onto. All I'm saying is if they set up to print one they could easily have printed the other. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I was kinda mad when the fire station's was pre printed. Personally, i like stickers. You can apply them anywhere! The print just isnt on one place and always there. Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I much rather have everything painted onto the brick. I hate the sticker, esp. the cheap ones they use today. All my stickers are falling off my new Santa Fe locos that I just picked up in December. >:( ;) Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Preprinted ones all the way i say, the amount of time ive wasted trying to make sure that the stickers are on right is unbelievable >:( Quote

There is no room for error. If you try to move the sticker once you make contact with the window, you will get a foggy window. >:( |-/ Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I know that is very annoying, i wish lego would stop using stickers it makes the sets seem cheaper. :( Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I know that is very annoying, i wish lego would stop using stickers it makes the sets seem cheaper. :( And you have to be very careful in the way you place your sets when you put them away. If other sets/bricks rub the stickers, the sticker will look like Megablock. Quote
Jipay Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I know that is very annoying, i wish lego would stop using stickers it makes the sets seem cheaper. :( It makes them alsop cheaper to make dude... This is the most important point for them ! I just hope they wont extend the printer thing to the minifigs |-/ Quote
Jipay Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 And its true that most of the time, I ruin my models by placing the stickers on it Quote

The NBA figs have sticker torsos (I guess so you can choose your own team and number) and I bought a World City police set that came with torso stickers. *sick* Quote

Yeah, I think so. They could have printed them on or made a piece like the life jackets. I could have even done without it. Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Putting stickers on the life jackets was the worst sticker job i ever did, i just couldnt get them right and when i did i too had the cloudy effect :'( Quote
jindroush Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 The Ferrari crew torso's have stickers. As I hate stickers, I don't apply them. Maximally on tiles. And multi-part stickers don't have the chance. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 i dont like stickers all the time, i just dont like preprinted parts that limits its use. like the canopy on the car in the fire station, it has "fire" with diagnal lines. try putting that on a space ship or something. it can only be used as a fire canopy. I hated stickers on the ferrari pit stop. you need to put it on every fig! thats cheep. the ucs y wing canopy stickers suck. i screwed mine up BAD *devil* Quote

Check the stickers on the side/center/bottom between the front and rear wheels. The others just get screwed up when you try to store them. >:( |-/ Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 All mine are still perfectly sticking, i just checked. all 3 of mine have no loose stickers! Not even the corners! :D Quote
ApophisV Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I only attached the stickers of the new Millenium Falcon, because I use this model for displaying... Several years ago (back in the 90's) I had one Model Team truck, and I attached the stickers to it. Nowadays they are all either loose or completely gone.... >:( |-/ I don't think that I will ever attach any stickers to non-Starwars sets.... Quote
jonfett Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I have put the stickers on most of my Star Wars sets as most of them look strange without them. I displayed the gunship on my shelf for a few weeks but it looks too plain do I put the stickers on. Sure they are annoying but most sets look good with them. Take a look at the Jedi Starfighter & Vulture Droid without stickers on.. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1066287 It doesn't look too bad, but it is still kinda plain :/ Jon.
