I don´t have any of the minifigs.

But from what I could see on the reviews, I will have to choose Haldir and Theoden.

They both are magnificent.

In overall the minifigs of this theme are very good.

So far I'm a big fan of all the hobbit minifigures, especially Pippin's. It just captures the character so well!

As others have mentioned, King Theoden is fantastic in terms of level of detail. It's incredibly impressive, and easily the best Lego minifig I've ever seen in terms of detailing.

I thought Aragorn did not look very good at all, but I have to say that he does look very much like he does in the movie once he has that cloak on. I don't know what it does to his look.

Boromir is quite brilliant. Sean Bean is one of my most favourite actors, and the Lego version looks quite a lot like Boromir in the movie, in my opinion.

Gandalf I did not much care for. He did strike me as looking a whole lot like Gandalf did in the movie, although without the beard I think he looks a darn sight like Ian McKellen.

Legolas is decent, but not my favourite.

Of the hobbits I think Merry is the best. He just looks so full of mischeif and he looks incredibly like he does in the movie, but they are all quite good. I think Pippin is my least favourite. Gimli is also quite good, but I don't know how much they could have gotten wrong with him as his beard covers his whole face. :sweet:

Ultimately though, I think my favourite minifig is either Theoden or Eomer. I think I will go for Theoden though.

I love the cave troll its so awesome. I always dug larger figs they add a new level of play for me. They seem to represent a unstoppable monster larger and more dangerous then the normal foe. Funny thing is that he is bigger then the HULK.

Cave Troll. Just so much better than the giant troll from the Castle theme.

WOOT! Go cave troll. He is so much better then the trolls of castle theme.

My favorite is the Moria Orc (who currently isn't an option on the poll).

That's my favorite as well. The pointy ears and funky green skin coloring are what really did it for me. I wonder though, would they of looked better (or at least more movie realistic) with the shorter legs like those used for the hobbits? Regardless I hope more sets come out that have this figure so I can start working on building my Moria Orc army after my Uruk-hai one is complete

Really though, this was a tough call. My other top pics are the Cave Troll, Gimli, Nazgul, and Frodo from the Gandalf Arrives set with his green shirt (even if the skin color on it is off, still a beautiful fig imo).

I went with Gollum because I really like the look. Sure, he's not as detailed or printed as Haldir or Theoden, but the figure captures the character pretty well. My second choice pick would be any of the Hobbits.

I actually tried this out; what do you think?

Interesting. Honestly I think they could go either way. It's nice having moveable legs, but at the same time the mini legs are probably a little more accurate. I wonder how they would look with black or gray mini legs?
