Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 30, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 30, 2006 what is the best castle/viking set going around now in december 2006/2007 maby 07 :-) How do you define "best" Mr. Starwars Lego? What exactly is the time-period you mention? Must I be a set that's currently still available in the shops? Quote
Khorne Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 How would we be able to know what the best 2007 set is? The year is 2006 :-| , plus there aren't really special sets in December, so I'm not really sure what you're pointing at :-/ . Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I take this question to mean, what is the best castle or viking set available now. "Best" meaning worth buying. I'm not sure about 2007, but I would say the following sets: 10176 Royal King's Castle. Although I don't consider the set a real Legend as it's a new design. It definately has some of the classic or quasi-classic castle elements and design, however. Price wise, it sells for $100 here in the US, which I hate spending on a single set- but it is 871 pieces. You might also consider 8813 Battle at the Pass if you can still obtain. The set is no longer available at Lego SAH in the US. The set is a much better price and includes 11 minifigs. In terms of Vikings, 7018 Viking Ship Challenges the Midgard Serpent remains my favorite of the Viking collection and is still available. For 2007, I haven't seen any teasers/spoilers yet for new Castle or Viking sets, but one can only hope for more Classic Castle. Good luck with your selection. Quote
Jipay Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 what is the best castle/viking set going around now in december 2006/2007 maby 07 :-) Ponctuation... Quote
oo7 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Ponctuation... uhh....you know that's the French spelling right? But his post doesn't bother me as much as the title... Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 1, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 1, 2006 Ponctuation... euh? Can someone translate? My English dictionary doesn't know this word. Quote
oo7 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 euh? Can someone translate? My English dictionary doesn't know this word. It's not an English word but a French cognate for Punctuation. You know, periods, commas, question marks, colons (not the internal organ (not the keyboard instrument with one or more manuals) between the caecum and the rectum), exclamation marks etc. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I think you're all missing the intent of the question, rather focussing on the wording/punctuation. Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I'd say Battle at the Pass. Lots of figs and weapons, fairly good design, and a good number of parts. Quote
DARKspawn Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My suggestion would be Viking Fortress Against the Fafnir Dragon (7019) - heaps of new brown log bricks, a good amount of figs & probably the best bionicle dragon out of the Viking range. Although the longship is a close 2nd ... Quote
