Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I like it. I assume the changes to the Master Classes come into play immediately? I'm assuming not until someone gets to Level 50. Quote
Sandy Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 And here's a "little" addition to the High Cleric's Shield-skill, which should fix any issue of lameness it had. SHIELD: Hallowed Ascension – The high cleric connects with their deity, reviving all fallen allies and restoring everyone in the party to full health at the cost of 1 ether. All undead enemies are instantly killed as well, unless they are immune to sudden death. If all ether is depleted, nothing happens. With Arc Heal, High Clerics are detrimental to a group of undead enemies anyway, so I think the addition of undead insta-kill isn't too powerful. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 All I have to say: ...Okay, I didn't actually say anything. Bring High Cleric on!!! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Liking that Guardian Knight addition! Quote
Flipz Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I'm assuming not until someone gets to Level 50. We have Paragon NPCs. Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Those are some nice classes you've made there, Sandy. It's nice to have something the fill the level 40 void. Although I for one like the idea of Onslaught, it's unique. If people feel that it is underpowered, perhaps it could be changed to each party member doing a Critical Hit rather than just a regular one? Quote
Flipz Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) I still think Onslaught should read as follows: Onslaught -- The barbarian chieftain fearlessly attacks all enemies with strength equal to their Level plus all conscious party members' WP added together. The special effects in the other weapons (such as decay) are not transmitted. Edited October 6, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I'd still think that is a bit too weak, unless it's like an AoE attack of something. Quote

Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 We have Paragon NPCs. Bah they're fakes! Wait, the only one I can think of right now who has actually fought is Masson and he's just a digital illusion preying on Karie's weak mind. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Bah they're fakes! Wait, the only one I can think of right now who has actually fought is Masson and he's just a digital illusion preying on Karie's weak mind. I beg pardon? They look good Sandy! Darn shame I really want to keep Karie Minstrel. Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Look, LEGO is expensive, okay? But Masson s most definitely not an illusion, and he does indeed love Karie - though whether or not you'd qualify that as "preying on her mind" is up to you. Fun fact, the Harvester originally had battle mode that looked like this: Then I realized bisecting people wasn't Masson's thing. These buffs are going to make Eternal reaper harder to balance for, however... I'm going to have to do some brainstorming. Quote

Not in anyway that involves sexual interests though. Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) On the subject of Veteran classes: They all look wonderful, and the Rogue may be the only thing to shake me from the path of Necromancer. Will additional veteran classes appear in the future, such as the artisan? Perhaps super versions of the non-master classes the current veterans use? Seeing a Primordial Shaman or something along those lines would be very interesting. Edited October 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 May I remind you that going Necromancer whilst being unable to swallow ether cores is not a good idea. Quote

I'm pretty sure the entire point of the Veteran Classes is that they expand on the Basic Classes and have no other multi-classing abilities. Quote

JimBee Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I've thought of a new Shield-skill for the Guardian Knight: SHIELD: Mirror Sentinel – The guardian knight takes a protective stance that reflects all attacks and special skills directed at the party back to the opponents for the duration of the next round. With that, Aura of Honour, Master of the Order, Shield Bash and Well Deflected Damage, the class should stand out enough from the other knights. Okay, that looks really good. I wonder if knights will ever actually be able to become damaged, but that's a bridge to cross when we get there. One small thing I am concerned about is the Aura, which might be easily forgotten because of its conditions to activate. Who is really going to pay attention to when the entire party is below half health? How about if it activates when one party member is KO'd? All of the other Veteran Classes look good as well. The Master Thief's SHIELD skill is neat and fitting, but I might suggest that they steal gold instead of drops. And I agree that the Sylvan Ranger is hard to make unique, but Taming seems the most appropriate skill. I considered suggesting opening the skill to all enemy types, but then it might be too powerful and similar to Hex. Looking forward to the final versions of these classes. Quote
Sandy Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Who is really going to pay attention to when the entire party is below half health? How about if it activates when one party member is KO'd? Umm, the QM? And no, having one party member down is too common of a situation, and not really a dire one. The Master Thief's SHIELD skill is neat and fitting, but I might suggest that they steal gold instead of drops. They already steal gold with every other positive roll... And I agree that the Sylvan Ranger is hard to make unique, but Taming seems the most appropriate skill. I considered suggesting opening the skill to all enemy types, but then it might be too powerful and similar to Hex. Yes, definitely. The whole point of taming is that relates to the Sylvan Ranger's ability to connect with nature. It doesn't make much sense for them to be able to tame humanoids, robots, demons etc... Quote
Sandy Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Here's the pictures I've prepared for the Veteran Classes. I based them off of the characters portrayed on the basic job class rules (Ellaria included), so you can compare their "evolution". Quote
CMP Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Those guys look even better than the Master Class people. Is the female Archmage's staff a piece from one of those Chima weapons? Quote
Sandy Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Those guys look even better than the Master Class people. Is the female Archmage's staff a piece from one of those Chima weapons? You can thank the absolutely superb minifig parts that TLG has produced during this past year. And yes, the red whazzamacallit is from Chima. Please also note the increased bustsize of the female barbarian (aka Shadina Impwrath, the most buxom barbarian in Olegaia ). Quote
