Those are pretty good. I have been trying recently to make some cars / vans etc and had rubbish results which I put down to not really having any interest in those type of vehicles in general in real life. Being someone who was until six / seven years ago a life long biker maybe i should try some bikes. I still have a couple in the garden I can use for ideas. (An R60/6 1976, & K100RS, incase anyone cares.)

There are some very helpful documents out there. Unfortunately I don't have the link here. But it's always worth trying, trying, trying! The base above is very easy to build with 1x1 studded bricks and there are a lot of other techniques that could have been used there. You only find out by trying.

Hi, I have been looking for info on custom stickers (for lego buildings/signs etc) , where/how can you design/buy them?

Typing your words:

"custom stickers (for lego buildings/signs etc)"

into a search engine works well. :classic::thumbup:

Hi, Can anyone give me moc tips for modulars in general for example what and what not to do etc.

I used to have an article from the blog "A Modular Life" bookmarked that discussed the standards (width, connection placements, ect.) of modular buildings. Is that what you mean?

My next MOC is going to be of a Modular 32-wide modern day Soup Kitchen. I've got the outside fairly well mapped out - a two story Commercial Warehouse-y type building in Dark Grey and Reddish Brown, and the for the interior I'm thinking Kitchen area, Dining room with bench seating, Bathrooms and up stairs some small seedy Hotel. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I might include?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Maybe some retro décor for the hotel....

- a cigarette machine

- a lonely pot plant

- a brick reception counter (ie using these: 98283.jpg)

Cheers,

Thanks LLL. That also got me thinking of security bars on the check in desk. And it's kinda morphing into the 'Hotel' that Elwood Blues lived in. I've got plenty of old discolored bricks to make beds/furniture of out.

I already made a thread asking for help over at the 'LEGO Train Tech' Theme. I wanted to ask here in case someone might have an answer but doesn't read the Train Tech forums. The entire thread with all the details in it can be viewed right over here

Basically, as a cliff notes version, I am wanting to add Power Function Train Motors to a train I am wanting to build. There are multiple problems that keep on rising, however. Where will I put the PF Train motor? How many will I need? How much will the weight of the entire train affect the motor(s) and speed? Should I use different means of propulsion, like 9v motors or using PF motors and gears to drive the train? It's just that the project will be very heavy on my pockets, and I just want to get it right the first time without having to spend more than I should. Can anyone here help me?

Hi there, my next project is a big dirty Jokers base expanding on the Funhouse set. It needs to look populated by his henchmen but not be overcrowded with 'stuff'. I would also like it to be on multiple stories if possible. I need help on making it a full building rather than a facade as the set is. I also need some ideas on henchmen. If anyone also has ideas on Easter eggs and rooms to include then please help out. For further info on the background of the model, visit my 'Survival Game' thread in BFs and comics as that explains the story it's used in. Thanks

Hi all, so my next MOC is a star wars one on the battle of umbra, I've got the MHC, the stealthunter, the 501st chicken walker and I have the BARC speeder with sidecar for captain Rex, I've also got some flat pieces that are joined together for the battle field. The thing is I've never done a MOC on a battle before so I was wondering if people who had done battles before could give me tips, such as where to place vechles, figures etc. Also should I get more 501st clone troopers and ships to make the battle more realistic. I also need a few tips on how to build the main tower in the show

thanks

If anyone also has ideas on Easter eggs .....

If you want a 'tongue-in-cheek' easter egg....then maybe a nonchalant Marvel character hanging around in a quiet corner

For one that won't break your theme too much....hmmmm....maybe a 'Clown Prince':

I have built a replica of this style of bus

b7rle.jpg

Here is my replica

IMG_0483.JPG

What I want advice on is how to replicate the front end from this photo:

optimus.jpg

Or the one from this photo:

0405nh.jpg

In both cases the windscreen and everything above it would stay the same and the area available for the front-end look would stay the same. Does anyone have any ideas on how to replicate either of those 2 front-ends (the one with the really fancy headlights or the one with the smiley-face headlights) in the same area as has been used for the headlights in my current design?

I can replicate the rest of both buses no problems, I just cant think of an idea of how to replicate the front ends without a bunch of custom stickers that wont look so good.
