Pretty nice set; I bet those Figs become pretty rare being released in only one expenisve set based on a video game

Thanks for the awesome review! I can't decide if this is a good or bad thing, but you've convinced me to add this to my list of sets to buy. It's an excellent design, and the minifigs are sweet. A lot of people are complaining that they're boring, but IMO they're great. Comparing it with those ingame shots, I'd say TLG did pretty well. Maybe they used a tiny bit too much red? But it's great. Now the only problem is fitting it into my budget...

The design looks good, and while that droid has a lot of potential...I think I am going to skip on this set. If I had the spare money lying around, I would definitely pick it up though.

Ingame images of the ship.

To me it's a pretty good representation.

Now if they stuck with that relatively toned down and conservative color scheme I think it would've looked much better IMO. Thanks for sharing the pics, made me appreciate the design even more (but still not a fan of the too bright overall dark red/red with random white blotches color scheme).

I couldn't agree more with you there, it would have looked much better with a more conventional color scheme of mostly white (or light grey) with red accents. But i get the feeling TLC chose this color scheme on purpose to set it apart from the latest X-wing. This new reference picture (thanks indeed!) does make me appreciate the design of the model a bit more, it actually seems fairly accurate to the source material. I'm still nowhere near tempted to buy this set however, somehow it still doesn't appeal to me one bit.

The 9500 Sith Fury is a different story for me, from what i have seen of this set it appears to be great and i'll probably try to pick it up later this year. I'm hoping we'll see a review of this set on EB soon.

That was a great review, sorry you don't really care for the set. I, personally, was looking forward to this set. The Kotor timeline is my favorite of the EU. On a non-related topic, I was very disappointed when the new game was released as an MMO. I don't care for MMO type games: just an endless grind. I've heard TOR is different but I really just don't want to spend the money just to try it.

I for one do not like this set, but it does have its own niche audience. For that price, I would definitely chose another set.

I love the ship I shows an evolutionary link with the Aurek Fighter, V-Wing, A-Wing, Y-wing, X-Wing, ARC 170, Z-95, and Z-85 fighters .

However the Lego version is so incredibly ugly :hmpf_bad:, It's far too fat, the colour scheme is all wrong, and parts of it are hugely out of proportion.

I just snagged this set for $25 at Walmart. I wasn't really interested in it, but I wanted the Satele Shan figure for a MOC, I'm working on. I was pleasantly surprised with the set. It has a lot of nice parts in dark red and dark tan and orange. Plus the wings are nicely done and sturdy enough my three year old can play with it. I'd recommend it to anyone who is hesitant, especially if you can find it marked down.

I would of liked to see a more Y-wing kind of design on the engines. The flick fires stick out a bit and that really bugged me so I removed the launch ability keeping them there just for decoration. I thought the green transparent studs near the engines were a little strange and off colour so I switched it around with a blue stud.

All in all, it's a pretty good set. I liked the minifigs and unnamed republic trooper that's probably supposed to be Jace Malcom.

I think that it is a pretty good set, with some nice pieces. So I rated it good.

The minifigs are awesome. For those unaware, The jedi in this set is the grandaughter of Bastilla Shan from Knights of the Old Republic.

Thanks for the trivia! Love KOTOR!

I wish they could make more sets. So many different types of soldiers, Jedi, and Sith. I bought 4 of the sith speeder sets and use the republic troopers under the commander of Jace Malcom or under Commander Cody at times as an elite scouting unit. (Yes I realize the time difference but its the only other use i have for them since they are orange and white anyways)
