January 2, 201312 yr Saw it in cologne back in november, its huge. Also, its a strange coincidence that this thread was bumped today, because someone has one on ebay right now: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Lego-Technic-Bagger-Backhoe-Loader-Traktor-Unikat-Einzelstuck-Full-RC-/110996467483?pt=DE_Allesf%C3%BCrdKind_Spielzeug_Lego&hash=item19d7e7af1b
January 28, 201312 yr Has many built this model and if so what's ur taughts on it? Also does amount of parts required add up to a lot of €€€€ Iv seen the parts list on rebrickable but I don't seem to be able to add other sets that I have for parts? Thanks in advance :)
January 28, 201312 yr Iv seen the parts list on rebrickable but I don't seem to be able to add other sets that I have for parts? I had a brief look on Rebrickable and Bricklink. It looks like the rear wheels will be expensive and the tyres just aren't there at the moment.

I have 4 power puller wheels :) Can u not add other sets for parts when building mocs off rebrickable ? Edited January 28, 201312 yr by davidmull
January 28, 201312 yr Are you registered on rebrickable? Yes I am but maybe I'm doing something wrong, when u use the box find sets to build it won't take numbers of mocs will it? Edit: figured it out I had to add sets first. Edited January 28, 201312 yr by davidmull
January 28, 201312 yr Edit: figured it out I had to add sets first. That's what I was going to suggest! Rebrickable really is brilliant tool, I am too using it now to find out what I'm missing to build this model Looks like I have most of it, except 3 LA's, the speed remote and of course the rear wheels. Are there any other wheels that have a roughly similar outer diameter?

Are there any other wheels that have a roughly similar outer diameter? No other wheels that big, they really are a must have for any technic fan, I was lucky I bought set 8466 off a friend for €50.00. Not sure he seen the value in the wheels, it was just a set he had years and I asked him too sell, I now have 4 mint power puller wheels and tires & 8466 of course :) I too looked up brick link looking for those wheels and they were something like €30 each , I could buy car tires for that! Is there any reviews on this backhoe I'm looking for feedback on who built it too see ie how well it works etc??? I'm sure jurgen won't mind honest opinions! Edited January 28, 201312 yr by davidmull
January 28, 201312 yr I have just ordered the required parts to build this,I look forward to building this soon.
January 28, 201312 yr I still need to get the instructions,Jurgen has not been active for a while so hopefully I wont have to wait too long.....
January 28, 201312 yr I still need to get the instructions,Jurgen has not been active for a while so hopefully I wont have to wait too long..... I see that, 14th jan :( maybe he has email :) I remember jurgen saying the backhoe wouldn't lift the digger with the weight, I wonder would using one L motor to lift the rear boom be better? Is the L motor the same dimensions as the M motor? Edited January 28, 201312 yr by davidmull
January 28, 201312 yr I'd love to build this, but there simply aren't any of the required tyres on Bricklink. I guess maybe if I find the single set that include them I could give this a go. Seems like there's no viable alternative tyre. Nothing seems to compare in terms of size. Maybe TLC will re-introduce this part, or something similar to it. I really like the look of this model, but without those rear tyres... Edited January 28, 201312 yr by Soluzar

January 28, 201312 yr There's a few but there expensive, the cheapest are these! http://www.bricklink...itemID=40519933 Those seem to be a "complete asembly" of tyre and hub. Maybe that's why I didn't find them... Expensive or not, at least now I know it's possible for me to build this. :D Taking the prices into consideration though, I might be better off trying to find the set in question... heh. Try get 8466 that's what I did and u will get 4 tires then :)
January 28, 201312 yr Try get 8466 that's what I did and u will get 4 tires then :) I'm watching them on ebay to see how the price trend goes. There aren't many about, even on Bricklink. Even fewer in the UK. International shipping for a set would probably be harsh. Edited January 28, 201312 yr by Soluzar

January 29, 201312 yr Isn't it 3x4x7 ? Anyway, I know it's one stud longer than the m motor, so hopefully one would be able to replace an m with an L without to much reconstruction. In many cases, with an M, you "lose" a stud anyhow, as the front is the only place with pin holes (so you need to attach it to a liftarm before you can put in the gear), whereas the L motor effectively eliminates this by having pin holes on the sides as well.
January 29, 201312 yr So it won't work? I saw the Backhoe in Cologne and if I remember correctly Jurgen rebuilt it using the L motor instead of the M motor in some place. May be Jurgen can confirm this and indicate which motor he replaced? I built mine with all M motors and it works fine.
January 29, 201312 yr I see that, 14th jan :( maybe he has email :) Drop him an email through his website. I got my Zorex instructions over the weekend.
January 29, 201312 yr Try get 8466 that's what I did and u will get 4 tires then :) I would definately do that, rather than pay a ridiculous 45$ a wheel. I wouldn't even mind paying the €150 I see the cheaper ones go for! Only problem is; 95% of the time I shop at bricklink, the seller writes the cost of the goods on the outside of the envelope, on some sort of customs declaration papers. Of course, this is the right thing to do, but as I shop mostly from stores located in Europe and the EU, and Norway not being part of the EU, it quickly becomes pricey! This is because the maximum tax free "mailorder-import-total-value" here has been the same since the late 1970's, at just over the equivalent of € 20 (and that includes shipping costs!). So with the Euro swinging up and down with small margins compared to the Norwegian Krone (NOK), I can plan it to be just below NOK 200 (~ €24), and by the time the parcel reaches Norway, the Euro will have gained some strength again, and the converted cost would be, say, NOK 205, and all of a sudden I must pay the government an extra NOK 150 in VAT and taxes. This has happened on several occasions, and it effectively inhibits me from ordering large sets or large orders of parts at a time (if I place an order for a total of NOK 2000, I might end up paying NOK 3500) Really sorry for going so far off topic here, I just needed to get this off my chest. Also, if anyone has a leftover 8466 they would sell me and "ship as a gift", please don't hesitate to PM me! Anyway, back on topic; as the front wheels on this model are the same as the rear wheels on the former two backhoes released by TLG, the wheels from, say, the 8297 off roader would be just a little bit bigger, and might work with some minor reconstruction?
