Solscud007 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I was perusing thru this guy's site. And found this Grand Emporium light set. Interesting but sort of only works if you dont look too closely or behind the building. http://www.artifexcreation.com/Emporiumlights Quote
TheKingOfBuilding Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 In my opinion its much more fun to make your own lighting for sets and buildings, and you can get some cheap soldering equipment to make it with. I just don't think $52 (not even including the additional bricks required) is worth it. Quote
BrickPicker Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Max from Artifex Creations does a fantastic job with the lights and custom sets. I bought the Turbo Tank from him. I highly recoommend them. Quote
Bricksan Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I would love to light up my City and I like the way he has done it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Excellent modifying idea, those lights would fit perfectly in any of the modulars or even city/open back building. Quote
Solscud007 Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 I got these blue/white flashing lights. Motion activated. http://www.brickbrites.com/ Quote
kermit Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) With all those wires it would essentially negate any possible playability with the set. There are better options around that would be so obvious and could blend in nicely with the bricks. Why don`t you start off first with some simple lighted bricks. Edited June 20, 2012 by kermit Quote
escortmad79 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Could always use good ol' Lifelites too: http://www.lifelites.com/ Quote
Faefrost Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I like the effect. But as an old school model railroader, and having lit a few model kits, there's way too much wire going on in that kit, with much too thick wire and way too many clunky connectors. Quote
somara Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Around the holidays, when my modular street is on display, I use the cheap way of lighting up the buildings. Night lights + extension cords + holes in the back of the buildings = a semi-decent lighting job (as long as you don't look too close) Quote
