OOC: Does Punii have claws?

QM note: In the Progg lifecycle, the only appendage a Progg has before adulthood is his tail. I always thought that Punii used his tail to assemble the bombs...

The party finds themselves in the grand foyer yet again. Two doors remain unopened.

Endgame, could you mark the doors that we already explored. I'm a bit confused right now. You can just mark them with a red X in MS Paint or something.Or you can just tell us verbally. :classic: Yeah, that would be simpler.

"Right, now we've gotten more potions, we should get those bomb bits. I vote we go through that door."

"I agree, Erik, although I'm unsure which room we'll find the bomb bits. Maybe you could ask that little weasel of yours!" I turn away.

Noting Monk pretzel's confusion, punii pops his head out of the cart.

"The bottom left is where the toxiproggs and I *wheeze* were. The top left is where mom was, the bottom right where the bomb components are, and *cough* the top right remains unexplored."

"Wait a moment! How, in God's name, did this demon get into my cart? Get him out of there immediately. To think I had been pulling him around all this time! It's disgraceful. Let's go to the bottom right, we hadn't been there right, and see what can be done with those bomb components."

Monk Pretzel tries using Door Key 4, but it fails to fit in the lock.

"Those are some really *wheeze* volatile bomb componenets. I bet the key is hidden somewhere else to prevent the wrong hands from getting them. Too bad *cough* whoever built this place didn't take Proggs into account..."

It's an office of sorts.

*I search the drawers, the statues, the clock, the shelf, and the papers/letters*

Daxus works his magic, dismantling everything and scrutinizing it.

Inside the drawers, you find Mr Commerz's journal and a key:

AsyGk.jpgDoor Key 5

The statues are ornamental an crafted from a sturdy steel. They glitter, despite ther ebeing hardly any light in the room. The clock reads 11:30 PM: you've been in the vault for 5 hours and 30 minutes. An engraving on the back of the clock says it was handcrafted in Eubric. The shelf holds various inkwells - Mr Commerz did a whole lot of writing. The two letters contain 2 more invitations to the Loyalty Program, which read exactly the same as the first.

The stack of papers is perhaps the saddest thing in the vault: The various drafts of Mr. Commerz's last will and testament.

Will the party read the will or the journal?

Daxus picks up the journal and opens the pages. he inhales, and blows all the dust off of it's tattered pages. He reads aloud the less mundane passages:

Entry 34:

"Ayla has the perfect skillset for running the bank when I... move on. She is only 18 now, but she is working admirably. I never realized what a good memory the girl had - she'd be able to rember the vault's combo no problem. hopefully, that time doesn't come soon."

Entry 72:

"Unbelivable. The underground river pierced through another room in this place. it's a good thing I held on to that mason's address."

Entry 108:

"I ran into 3 unique little creatures today: spiders. Normally, I'd take the little fellows back out in the wild and let them run free, but as it turns out, they've been dealing with the bugs in here for 2 years. I snuck up on the little critters, and imagine my surprise whne they screamed - in English! I feel bad for giving them a spook, but having some companionship is nice in this drab vault."

Entry 252:

"My time is coming soon. Even now, the lif ein my is slwoly fading. Morxes, Lyrol, and Widow try to keep my comfortable and console me when I come to do paperowrk here, but it is no use. I'm so old, I can't fight the case of flu I've developed. and I'm afraid it'll soon evolve into something far worse. I've finalized my will, made a copy of it, and sent the original to the mayor to execute it when my time finally comes."

The party's mood only becomes more sour when they read the will.

"Dear citizens of Luosh, Loyal customers, and most of all, Ayla.

My time in this life is nearly at it's end, and I'm not afriad to face it anymore. Though I have achieved many things in my life, there was one that has and always will stand out to me, and hopefully all of you: the Commerz Bank. Serving you for the past 40 years has been one of the greatest joys in my life. What started out as a mere shack is now one of the grandest buildings in Lusoh, and i thank all of you for that. May the Commerz Bank - and Luosh - prosper forever."

The next part appears to be for Ayla.

"Ayla, as you know, our family tree's branches have withered. If you are reading this, you know that you are the last of the bloodline. You also know it is your turn to take responsibility for the vault of our ancestors: the Commerz vault. Cherish it and keep it safe, for it may very well be the last tie to your family. The combination is

The combination has been blotted out: only the original appears to have it.

Ayla, though it may pain you, please burn this when you are done reading it. You've made me so proud, and I know you'll do great things.

Love,

Dad."

You recall that in the room where Punii was found, there was a large rock and water seeping under it. Mr Commerz must've hired a mason to make a blockade so he could block off the river, but it appears that there is also another room being effected deeper in the vault.

You also recall the hatchery, with the dripping waterfalls. the water damage seems to be scattered throughout the vault.

Daxus slips key 5 into the lock. With a twist it bursts into pieces, unlocking the door. The giggling heard behind is replaced by a sharp gasp, then silence. The party walks in, knowing they could easily deal with the 3 larvae.

v0Q4E.png

Sure enough, the three larvae do have the bomb components. All of them are trembling and sweating except one, apparently the eldest.

qi64g.png

"Unhand *wheeze* the parts, or they'll *cough* squash you!!"

w0SFc.png

"Sorry, you underdeveloped squirt, ain't happening. But we can work out a deal...

Ya see, the Death Progg locked us in here to guard these. To pass the time, we found this musty old book about the hitory of Eubric and Ennoc. I quizzed the other two here, but we've memorized every page of it in our boredom. If you play with us and take our quiz, we'll hand over the bomb parts. We know you guys will smear us in mono-a-proggo, so if you take the violent route, we'll set these components off, and you'll never be able to proceed. I bet your quest assigner would fail ya for a job not done."

qi64g.png

"But you'd be *wheeze* blowing yourselves up!"

w0SFc.png

"We'd die either way. The bomb bits won't be enough to destroy you or the room, sure, but it'll prevent you from ever reaching the Death Progg.

So, do we have a deal?"

"There will be 9 questions. You have to get 7 out of 9 to pass it. Give 3 wrong answers and there will be fireworks, if y'know what I mean.

Asssuming you aren't illiterate fools, it should be easy enough."

"Let's take the Quiz."

QM note: Perhaps I'm just a fool, but what is so funny about 7 out of 9?

Going to wait for atleast one more person to voice their opinion before we begin.
