I have been thinking....should I change the Landmark store structure to be a different shape....

It is one of my favourite New Mannum buildings as it is. The only change I would consider is reducing the height of the green roof part by one stud, as it is quite high compared to the rest of the buildings.

I also like the vehicles you've been adding and the cement mixer looks awesome.

Thanks and the height is on purpose.....you might see that it is just about the only structure without a ceiling, just a pitched sheet metal looking roof like the type found on warehouses.

I have done a lot research on each build sometimes visiting a real version of the structure.....i.e. Landmark at Gawler Belt, S.A. and using Goggle Maps as well.

Keep watching.....yes, more vehicles are coming soon too.

No, if the butcher had a mo and no sideburns then it would be me.......but I don't man-handle sausages. :roflmao:

Your town looks really great. It reminds me of my childhood very much. If i remember correct, I was using custom "stickers" (normal white paper attached with Scotch Tape) as well to add more realism to my town.

edit: Nice slogan for your food factory: "Buchter: Quality meets... Chemist" :laugh_hard: Oh... wait.

Thanks 'monsinjor' and 'PsyKater' for your kind comments, yes I use to do the paper/sticky tape years ago before I discovered photo sticker paper at Officeworks.

Now today...what can I make without having to go back to Toy Corner (till next week....Heath's birthday on the 14th if memory serves me correct).....ah, more council machinery perhaps ?

Oh, yeah now......butchers + chemist = food factory.....somebody has been reading Sweeney Todd eh ?

Keep watching !

Looking good! Love all the new details.

Thanks 'Kristel', it only takes one or three little things that make something POP and add that realism.....almost like magic.

Take the rolls of fencing wire.....4 wheel hubs and a sticker made similar to the real one.....$(KGrHqJHJCoE-0IWW1CHBP2Voe,M7Q~~60_35.JPG

Keep watching today for more stuff !

I would like to see it as late 19th century hotel. Since this is a town. I don't know... Anyway, I know it will be great, as all the things you've done. Can't wait.

Something from the 1890's eh ? (late Victorian era.......hmm, I'll look into that.).......a motel also could make an appearance later on.....we shall see.

Keep those suggestions and ideas coming everyone ! :sweet:

Loving all your stuff LT! I'm too lazy to go through all 14 pages, but I would love to see some interiors of the supermarket, it looks great from the outside I can imagine the inside looks just as great.

Question I have for everyone.....to do with my hotel design.........modern or late 19th century or art deco ? (it will be single level though due to the cost factors)

I'd go art deco or late 19th century, as the pubs always tend to be the older buildings in a town.

Fencing wire roll was a stroke of genius on my part I guess, I was just going to use round 2x2 bricks but couldn't find enough light bluey greys so I had a few spare rims.

Hotel starts this week...... late 19th century style, I'll started in a day or so designing it on LDD,

Keep watching ! :classic:
