Thanks 'Alasdair'.....yeah old tiger, very funny !

Anyway what you see is what the pub will be except to the right I might put an external ice chest and public toilet since this sits right next to the picnic area.

Like I said more tomorrow ! :classic:

Another question......should the train station (which comes after the pub) be similar in design period (late 19th century - Victorian era) ? :look:

Yes that would make sense as most of the pubs near the train stations appeared when the train station was built (At least in the rural towns) Riding on those old steam trains made you very thirsty it seems. And for a hard earned thirst theres only one cold beer, Victoria Bitter  actually I think I will have a beer now myself

Thanks 'michael', I have already decided on the train station....it will be of similar build to the pub as they were built at the same time by the same builder all those years ago.

I must dig through my spare parts so I can finish off the bar area, floor and front wall exterior today....then I can do the hardest thing.....the roof !

Keep watching !

The pub looks good so far! I'm looking forward to see the finished product.

PS. Did a bricklink order this morning, so I should be able to have a go at that cement mixer soon.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing your cement mixer 'Kristel' !

I'm currently working on the pub right now......updating a.s.a.p. so keep watching ! :classic:

It reminds me of a telephone exchange with windows in it.

But hey who wouldn't like to have a drink in one of those anyway.....

I've never drank in a phone box before.....every where else almost yes.... :drunk::roflmao:

It will look more believable when I can get a fresh pack of photo sticker papers......broke right now, unless things change. :cry_sad:

Keep watching anyway......still might try and get a few things done that don't require stickers.

That's an ice storage/merchandiser where people get bags and blocks of ice out of......once they pay the barkeep for it of course.

Once I can get some fresh stickers it will look even better......plus I'm still thinking more buildings......but again it's a NO cash at the moment that's stopping this poor old tiger ! :cry_sad:

The way it's going this might be the saddest Christmas for my family in over 10 years.....trying to afford presents for my wife and son is hard with no cash and impossible to spend a cent on New Mannum......I'm not the only small business person doing it tough in Adelaide at the moment though. :cry_sad:

Keep watching anyway. :sadnew:

I always try and emphasise to my daughter that being able to spend time with your family and loved ones is more important than receiving presents. Be strong.

Thanks, I had to get extensions on my water and power bills yesterday, It's very true what you say, though I made promises to my son and there has been too many times I have let him down and broken his heart......being a dad (parent) is hard. When I feel low I try and build.....getting positive feedback is a great shot in the arm.

I'll try and have something else up today.....so as usual keep watching.

Maybe you could consider selling some sets or so, just to bring in some cash to celebrate Christmas a bit more like everyone got used to. I would really do so, if i was in your position... And, like Kristel said, spent the time you have on your family, to compensate for the 'smaller' presents...My parents could also only give me presents at my birthday and at 'Sinterklaas'; some kind of christmas-giving-presents-opportunity..and i was a happy kid as well!

I hope the best and hope as well your family is in good health, because that is the most important thing!

Thanks, I have one client lined up for tomorrow.....about a hundred buck install but that's all......take the jobs when they come up I guess.

Anyway I found a spare piece of unused photo sticker paper so........

this might be more negative feed back from me,but I actually think you should make that pub a ''Starbucks''. You have are very close to the shape of the sign already,it just needs some green paint and new stickers. :sweet:

Thanks everyone today for your comments and feedback. :sweet:

Starbucks is a dirty word in South Australia......their chain lasted less than a year before going belly-up !

Beer is preferred in my town than weak coffee......of course in moderation children.

Yes, in country hotels meals are generally served between those hours.....things like fish'n'chips, surf'n'turf and the ever so favourite beef or chicken schnitzel !

I did use the Birdsville pub as part inspiration for this......I goggled 'railway hotel' and looked at what was out there......then went for the simplest thing that wouldn't cost the earth to make.

Head scratch time.....what next for this until more base plates arrive......vehicles I guess....more later so keep watching.
