lightningtiger Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Hmm, a Komatsu dealership as well....I like the idea and thanks 'Alasdair' if you want to design some minifig scale vehicles go for it - I won't forget to give credit to you for your work. Another building might go on the cards now, I'll start scratch-building today and play with some ideas....perhaps on the other side of the tyre storage yard another showroom with vehicles in it and the building with the petrol bowser out front will get sign writing saying 'Parts & Service Reception'....hence the chain saw with go into the other showroom. Man, this may never end....AWESOME ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 showroom. Man, this may never end....AWESOME ! Well it might if you were a better builder............ Would this fit the a dealership or will i need to build something smaller? Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Well it might if you were a better builder............ Would this fit the a dealership or will i need to build something smaller? Only perfect if I had a shrink ray ! Not really minifig scale is it.....I'm looking at their bob-cat's at the moment and seeing if I can adapt the new Lego mining one into one of theirs. Quote
LegofreakKO345 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You can use the forklift from 4206 Recycling Truck to put it in the stand or something. I never heard of Komatsu, so I don't really know what they make, but I think the forklift is good . Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) I think i may of made a ok mini digger. If you need instructions on how to build it please let me know. Do you not know Hinckley likes driving diggers? Edited August 9, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 I think i may of made a ok mini digger. If you need instructions on how to build it please let me know. Do you not know Hinckley likes driving diggers? Aw, cute....yeah, instructions sure...parts will be a problem I'll have to use the larger bucket. Besides it reminds me a little of construction vehicles from MB (sorry, hope I didn't offend ). Plus you're right I didn't know Hinckley drove one of those.....must be a man of many skills eh ? I will be prototyping a new showroom to make the Ford dealer more realistic.....keep watching....keep suggesting. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Here we go Happy building. Download Instructions Here Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Thanks , I'll check the scaling and order some parts.....though wouldn't the black cage used in many of Lego's more recent construction vehicle work as well in the design ? This will take pride of place when completed in the sales yard....keep watching everyone ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Not in this one. It just goes over the cab from behind, there is nothing at the front side's. If you are going to be ordering parts,it might be a good idea to get a 2x3 bucket for it as it limits the bucket movement. Edited August 9, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

I see what you mean....I'm looking into fusing your design with this real one.....call it a challenge ! But still I'll get the parts for my son to build your design for himself....better get ordering eh ? Again thank you 'Alasdair'. I'll try and have more done to New Mannum today....updating a.s.a.p. Alasdair Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Looking at that picture I should try and update it a bit more (more yellow). The weird thing is, I am sure I could make a better one in technic as that is what I am used to,but the minute i build one using Lego system it looks hideous. Alasdair Ryan Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) What about a forest area, with some logging going on? The main reason I am asking is because of this machine. Tigercat 630C Skidder. Redesigned the mini digger what do yo think? Download Instruction's Edited August 10, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 AWESOME 'Alasdair'....I'll download those instructions (that was quick.....faster than me sometimes ! ) ! Forestry in the region eh ?.....I was thinking wine production, but hey why not more....yep, there may be no end to the updates to this topic ever ! Keep watching for updates everyone ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I also thought about a builder's merchant, that might be better than a forest. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 I also thought about a builder's merchant, that might be better than a forest. You too eh ? Great another tool shop....that will be number er....twelve or something....I'll scratch up something realistic in the next day or so. (wife is sick so guess who must look after her...very little Lego time for me...plus I'm building Helm's Deep right now and the last two bags to go tonight ) But a builder's supplier sounds good to me, perhaps it will also have a fuel depot....oh, the wheels in my mind are turning ! Keep watching everyone.....keep suggesting too ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) Like a dozer for your city? Edited August 12, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

LegofreakKO345 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) Another project huh 'lightningtiger' ? Watching your new building I had an idea that is completely different from your merchant. What about a LEGO shop, using the LEGO sets from 3221 LEGO Truck ? Edited August 13, 2012 by LegofreakKO345 Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Another project huh 'lightningtiger' ? Watching your new building I had an idea that is completely different from your merchant. What about a LEGO shop, using the LEGO sets from 3221 LEGO Truck ? Well, we don't have Lego branded stores in Oz....well not yet anyway, so no I wont build one....though a pub is still on the cards as well as the police station reboot.....more to come today so keep watching ! Alasdair Ryan Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 What about a city hall? Every city needs one of those. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) What about a city hall? Every city needs one of those. Good idea, a council office so rate payers can pay there rates and complain about things....like why this is going to take forever ! I'll be updating later today with fresh photos of the builders merchant store. Keep watching ! Edit - oh, well update now......keep watching still ! Edit 2 - lets see how it fits... Alasdair Ryan Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Looks good . But I don't think I like the ''fence'',I think it needs to be ''level with the wall''. Quote
