Wout Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I just thought about the Discworldnovels from Terry Pratchet, and I know they are books but I heard Sam Raimi wants to make a movie about The Wee Free Man (and Tiffany Aching) so it might sell. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Kill Bill would make a nice theme. X-D *slash* Quote
Wyvern Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 To me, I would say LOTR would be great.... Imagine all those Forts, Castles can be 're-design' into the scene of LOTR, the scales of the major battles...etc. I would really love to collect those if LEGO does go into that area for LOTR... :) Quote
Norrington Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 How about... Pirates Of The Caribbean- The Ride! We'd get many interesting hat/hari peices, ships, cannons, forts, Spaniards, Pirates :-P , wells do dunk our towns mayors into, wenches to auction, cities to burn, and arsenals to engage a shooting matches inn! Quote
Kahgarak Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Probably won't happen, but a Halo theme would be awesome... Quote
Norrington Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Probably won't happen, but a Halo theme would be awesome... Yeah, but Halo is LESS likley to happen. After all, pirates is *Cough-mostley-cough* family friendly, and has most of the violence and other things removed, plus, it would be like a new pirates theme. Because unlike REAL pirates, the pirates of Lego, and Potc-the ride, follow the striped-shirt and waist-sash sterotypes of cartoon pirates. Quote
Izzy Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Dr Who!!! I have seen a few mockups of some Dr Who types of things but some real ones would be loverly. Quote
iamded Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Hmm... Halo would be cool, and the movie is coming out... eventually... Or, well, I dunno, MARVEL! Take it back! Steal it! Whatever! We need Marvel lego back!! :-P :-$ Quote
THE-FORCE Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) The A-team should be cool and maybe south park? Or (the) simpsons, and X-MEN shall be cool to! Edited May 31, 2007 by THE-FORCE Quote
iamded Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Hmmm.... Hmmmmm..... How about.... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! Hah, no. :-| Ninjas. Bring back the ninjas. Or... Invader Zim! :-D Quote
M'Kyuun Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Maybe Transformers. That would be cool.-ZotS Lego Transformers would be the culmination of my two favorite things. There are quite a few Macross related MOCs on Brickshelf. GlaGla, an extremely talented Japanese mecha designer, created several transforming robots involving quite complex transformations. Unfortunately, he closed out his Brickshelf account. A few pics of his projects can be found over on www.mechahub.com, a Lego mecha-centric website. Take a look.... some serious talent and imagination on display, pushing the limits of what's possible with Lego(and making me lament what Exo-Force could have been). Quote
iamded Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Transformers looks cool, it's amazing how they can turn a children's show into a movie that appeals to teens and adults. And any great movie can be made better by making Lego sets of it. :-D Also, backing up what was said a while back now, Halo Lego. I think it would be cool. :-P Edited June 9, 2007 by iamded Quote
SupaaSayajin Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Lord of the rings is not too late, there will be one more movie released: The Hobbit, Lego could start the line with the realease, and Lotr is timeless and offers great sets/theme Pirates of the Caribbean offer a great opportunity for sets and figures, and there are yet rumors of a 4th movie coming out! ;) X-Men of course would be cool, though the movies are pretty much about the figures and their special abilities, which is hard to put in a Lego set Computer games of course wont be realeased, though those one would rock: Starcraft, Warcraft, Command&Conquer series, Silver.. Damn but Warcraft would rock it all :D i go build a warcraft lego line if i get time :) Matrix Lego theme would be nice as well, but this is too late, too We didnt have official robin hood and shwerwood forest themed lego sets yet, just forestmen ye? And that was long ago, so go ahead!! :) Final Fantasy Legos Fantastic Four Legos An in general Id like to see a real racing theme, maybe a Formula one challenge with all formula one racers from every team, not just the ferrari, that would rock!! Quote
Siegfried Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Final Fantasy Legos Yes! The airships would make great sets, but I can't see it happening as they are all too big. Quote

I vote for Fantastic Four, and Matix. :-D X-men would be great, I love any Marvel things. *wub* Marvel... *wub* Like Ghost Rider Lego. That'd be sweet. Or sets with just the character and accessories, you could have Spider-man, Each of the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Cap'n America, Blade, Iron Man, Dare Devil and some of the lesser know ones, such as Deadpool ( *wub* :-D ), Antman, Thor etc. So much potential... badgerboy Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 HIS DARK MATERIALS the Philip Pullman trilogy - coming to the cinema soon... as "the golden compass" (stupid movie companies GRRRR!) Armoured Polar Bears! Great old oxford buildings! Airships! Lyra with the aliethiometer and Will with the knife... Lord Asriel's adamant tower Gyptian narrow boats Lee Scoresby and His Balloon The intention craft Svalbard playset I could go on ... IMO - AWESOME... I'm excited just thinking about it. What do you think? Quote
Joebot Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 HIS DARK MATERIALSthe Philip Pullman trilogy - coming to the cinema soon... as "the golden compass" (stupid movie companies GRRRR!) [snip] IMO - AWESOME... I'm excited just thinking about it. What do you think? The American release of Pullman's book was actually called "The Golden Compass." The British edition was called "Northern Lights," right? Sorta like how the first Harry Potter book had different names in the U.S. and the U.K. ("Sorceror's Stone" vs "Philosopher's Stone"). I guess since it's an American film company, they went with the American book name. Anyway, yeah, I love that book. The sequels are a bit of a letdown, and the third one in particular can really drag, but the first one is terrific. A Lego theme based on the movie could be awesome. Armored polar bears?? Yeah, baby!! Quote
Brainbox Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Transformers looks cool, it's amazing how they can turn a children's show into a movie that appeals to teens and adults. It's partly the fact that all the adult Transfans grew up on the show, the comics and (of course) the toys. Everyone has a favourite character, toy or generation. There's a core fan-group who're devoted to upholding the stories, etc. Trust me, I am one. I'd love to see more comics stuff. Extend the Batman line to include other DC characters and locations. You could do maybe two or three sets for each major hero/heroine and include a few villains. Bases and vehicles aren't out of the question either- the Watchtower and the Fortress of Solitude for bases, and the Titans jet for vehicles. There's a wealth of characters and teams available- the JLA, JSA, Teen Titans, Outsiders, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, etc. I'd also love the same done for Marvel. The Baxter Building with Fantasti-Car and Pocket Rocket would be so cool. Again, so much to chose from- FF, Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man and all the Marvel Knights. The only trouble with these would be once you start to do some of the main characters, you'd end up having to do all the main character, to please the fans, especially completists. For example, you couldn't do the Avengers and not do Thor, say. The other problem would be the molds. Headgear, special capes, special tools and equipment would all have to be made, not to mention the problems that characters like Mr Fantastic and Plastic Man would throw up. How to make a stretchy fig? But wouldn't it be cool if their arms actually did stretch... Doctor Who, of course, would be another must-buy for me. I've reeled off plenty of set ideas in the 'Doctor Who Lego' topic. Transformers would be nice, but only if done right. And I mean absolutely right. As in fully-integrated transformations. This'd be especially good if they used the new IDW vehicles/transformations/robots. *wub* Quote

Yeah, baby!! How would they make the daemons (or whatever they are called) ,for Lyra's Daemon has everytime an other outside.(as with other children in that world) The polarbears from 2000 artic were very nice, it's a shame they were never used after that. Even not in new colours. Quote
barneynedward Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 It'd like to see the three stooges get at least one set. Quote
just2good Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) I'd like to Fantastic Beasts, man it'd be amazing if they did that. It'd open up a dimension of fun. Edited August 13, 2015 by just2good Quote

If we were to get that license, when would we get rumors of it? Next couple months? I really hope Lego doesn't pass up this opportunity. They and WB seem to have good relations Quote
