WesternOutlaw Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 :( I didn't see any other posts re. the Brickmaster Surprise Set, so here's one: I received the Jan-Feb 2005 Brickmaster Surprise Set 1 of 5 today. I live in the Western US and the set just arrived today (Tue, 1/25/05). The set is 4879 Bionicle Rahaga Iruini. As a old-time collector, I'm dissapointed, but I'm sure the Bionicle collectors will be happy. Hopefully, the other sets might be City. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 Also available at LSAH for $3.99 (us dollars): => http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=4879 Even more dissapointed. It's not even an exclusive set. >:( Quote
Jipay Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Well what did you expect ? :/ this all stuff was disapointing from the start so i'm not that much surprized |-/ Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 Since you asked, just about any set from any other theme (City, Train, Adventure, Space), even figs only. I like to remain optimistic- maybe the other sets might be better. Quote
cinema27 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 aw man, you suscribe for that stuff? I would save the 40US$ to buy 2 lego sets. Thanks for giving us the heads-up. :^^ Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I recieved that set yesterday. It was a dissapointment to met to. anyway, in my friends lego magazine it said the next set would be the Flame Glider. (mini orange hotrod) Unfotunently for me, I already have it. Quote
Orlego Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 The whole Brickmaster club seemed like a rip to me and I work for Lego. You get a handful of sets and they are all of the $3.99 variety. The regular club stinks to but at least it is free. ;) Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Hey! its not like i had a choice to join! my grandma signed me up, i would much rather have 40$ than this. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 ya, i got 2 of them too. :| one actually got me megablocks too! *devil* *devil* *devil* *wacko* Quote
medib Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 :-D on the grandmother jokes!! I decided to support the company of my obsession and sign up for the Master Builder club. I have mixed reviews. Overall, I am quite disappointed with the endevor, a good money grab for Lego. I look forward in seeing what comes out of the Lego Factory program, maybe eventually some more sets for the My Own Creation line. ;) Ben M. Quote
medib Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 ps, I know this has been asked already, and not sure if this is addressed already, but what about the "annoying member" moniker. I know the web masters have rights to change a "title" for the regular users, but how did the user earn the title? *satis* Ben M. (sorry for going off-topic) >-| Quote
Jipay Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 It comes with time and posts and a general attitude. When we have the feeling that you got the right spirit, you enter the special title club. We must alos have the time to find the title Quote
Vader Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Just be thankful that the title wasnt worse :-D ;) Quote
Orlego Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Yeah like "The Calm Voice Of Reason" :P :P ;) Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well I can always find a worse one which would be worth it Quote
Orlego Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Or 'King of Off Topic'! :P I knew that was coming, I just thought it would be from Vader. :P ;) Well I can always find a worse one which would be worth it No thanks Jipay, my title is perfect. You did a great job the first time around ;) EDIT: Damn, now it has changed Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well I changed it, you weren't fast enough in replying ! :-D Quote
recon Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 OK, ok, ok.......... This feels like an AA meeting. It's been 5 days since I built my last Lego. Now, Is the Brickmaster Certificate an honor or can it be turned into a cone like a dunce cap???? I truely thought it would be more interesting than it is. My gf got it for me as a Christmas gift, so I have no one to blame but myself. If they spent HALF as much on making a few unique sets as they did advertising this lame project, you'd see some enthusiasm for it. It seems like most of the Lego groups Ideas are very superficial. It might impress a 6 or 7 year old, but I think it has much to be desired. Recon Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well I think I can regret to say that but you knowe... It's Jake's idea... |-/ Quote
The Middleman Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well I think I can regret to say that but you knowe... It's Jake's idea... |-/ It's a good idea in theory, but it only works if you get the sets IN ADVANCE and you get the info IN ADVANCE, rather than giving them sets in stores and 'info' that we already have.
