Scubacarrot Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Why do so many of you continue to go after the sheep who summarize and agree with others, claiming to have reviewed everything that's happened? In my experience, the sheep always act that way whether they're Town or Scum, and unless they slip up and reveal that they know something they shouldn't, I think we currently have bigger fish to fry. You may also realize that there are also always a few scum that hide between the sheep. Maybe it's not a bad idea to keep poking the sheep. Or did one of your friends got poked? Small question: Why are you much less active and assertive than in the simulation. I can't have been the only one that have noticed it? I realize you were scum in there, but should it not have been changed the other way around? And you brag about it as being succesful while you have been doing it less...? What's up with that?
Brickdoctor Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Am I voting for them? No. Just poking them. Yes, sheep act the same no matter their affiliation. That's why we need to try to get as much out of them as we can. So we can have something to try to judge them by, if and when the time comes. I've never had any success getting anything out of them, but, okay. You may also realize that there are also always a few scum that hide between the sheep. Maybe it's not a bad idea to keep poking the sheep. Or did one of your friends got poked? It's not hard to be a sheep. I've done it before. Giving an unhelpful, sheepish answer when "poked" has got to be one of the easiest ways to respond to an accusation. Small question: Why are you much less active and assertive than in the simulation. I can't have been the only one that have noticed it? I know I was significantly less active early Yesterday, and a lot of that was because everyone was going back and forth; what I saw for roughly the first half of Yesterday was essentially someone accusing someone for accusing someone for accusing someone of being a sheep.
Scubacarrot Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I know I was significantly less active early Yesterday, and a lot of that was because everyone was going back and forth; what I saw for roughly the first half of Yesterday was essentially someone accusing someone for accusing someone for accusing someone of being a sheep. Well, maybe you should have accused that someone .
Brickdoctor Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I realize you were scum in there, but should it not have been changed the other way around? And you brag about it as being succesful while you have been doing it less...? What's up with that? Call it bragging if you want to; I was pointing out that if we're going to metagame, zeroing in on targets is something I've done successfully as Town, because a couple others pointed out that I did that as Scum in the simulation.
Tamamono Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 These are the players who have noted that there needs to be caution excersized before rushing to a conclusion about who to lynch. They often suggest waiting for a defense before condeming a player, and want to take time to consider the possibilities. Hey. Hey. Guess what. Did you know that people who 'keep an open mind' are usually scum? Yeah, I know, right? Crazy, huh? They like to keep their mind open so they can jump onto any bw that forms - aka. they fencesit. Being open minded is not a town action. These players are quick to reach a conclusion, and would rather see a lynch of anyone, not matter their defense (unless it was something like a cop's result). They are quite sure of the lynch targets, and do not wait for a explanation. (Also, Hinckley could also fall into this category, but to a lesser dgeree [he asked for defenses]) It's less that I want to rush into lynching you and more that I just don't want to hear your megablocks defense. The only thing I would have accepted as a town defense is "I'm sorry, I was trying to make a point to Hinck but I found I was wrong, so I changed the name. I'm sorry, I'm new", because I find myself trying to justify my townie actions sometimes too. You didn't give that defense, though, so I'm ready to fry you. Apparently you don't know how to read, because I still support voting out Pewter today, I think it's an incredible opportunity. Since it needs to be spelled out more clearly, I believe it will tell us who to vote for tomorrow. If he's town, I'd lynch Rockford tomorrow for what seems to be an intentionally bad interpretation of a joke (assuming it turns out to be one). If Pewter ends up scum, I'd go for Campbell tomorrow. Meh. I don't think Rockford would immediately be a good lynch if he flips town - in fact, his response is a great one, and I have him down as town for now. I think (as has been discussed in private as well, and much better worded by Butch Cassidy) that Palathadric could be the Godfather. So he sent out a bunch of weird PMs joking wildly about being Scum and using phrases like "we're going to vote you out" in other PMs. Perhaps he was trying to rouse suspicion and lure the investigator to target him. If he's the type of Godfather that shows up as "Town" in investigations, then the investigator would trust him and he could make an in-road with the investigator and whatever Town block was formed and have access, potentially to all the power roles. Down with Pewter (palathadric) immediately, I say. That's a far-fetched plan. I'm sorry, but I'm always skeptical of suspicions relying on the suspected being the godfather. I agree that he would have been a good lynch if nothing else came up just to test everyone who didn't vote for him, but Campbell's slip is incredibly condemning, and I don't know why everyone isn't lynching him yet. I understand that you're showing us where you stand, and giving yourself a breif summary, but could you maybe add more to this staement?Possibly tell us why you're so sure that Pewter (Palathadric) is guilty. No doubts that he is, I just want to know what made you so sure. Ahem. Weren't you the one who said that you were completely sure of him?
Brickdoctor Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Well, maybe you should have accused that someone . Which would have helped because...why?
Scubacarrot Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Which would have helped because...why? It's called a joke. This is the part where you say: "Lol" or "" or "O.M.G. Gordon, you so funny."

Perhaps he has a valuable role (Scum or Town), and therefore, he's trying to fly more under the radar to protect it. It could be that he is our Vig, and is active enough to draw out what he wants from his targets, or he could be the doctor, or the cop, but I think Vig is the most likely.

Well, we can't vote yet, so... And you are once again trying to dismiss suspicions against Palathadric. I suppose if you were Scum, you'd stop doing this by now since it's been pointed out so many times. The Town thing to do would be to stop dismissing him. But, if you suddenly changed it would seem Scummy. WIFOM. Perhaps he has a valuable role (Scum or Town), and therefore, he's trying to fly more under the radar to protect it. It could be that he is our Vig, and is active enough to draw out what he wants from his targets, or he could be the doctor, or the cop, but I think Vig is the most likely. Dakar A Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I'm sorry, I was trying to make a point to Hinck but I found I was wrong, so I changed the name. I'm sorry, I'm new. Better? In truth, I try not to use my noobish-ness as a defense, because anyone could claim that. I try to defend my case using facts as much as possible, and only resort to things like that when everything else is cut off. Oh, and I was trying to make a point to BrickDoctor, not Hinck. Thanks for reading my defense so thoroughly.
CMP Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I try to defend my case using facts as much as possible... :snicker:
Tamamono Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Because we can't vote yet, noob. I am still voting for Campbell, as it stands now. I didn't mean literally voting for him, moron. I meant why is everyone saying that they'll vote Palathadric when we have obvious scum right in front of us. WIFOM. What is with you and WIFOM this game? I honestly think that Pala is town, and I don't want town to get lynched, so I'm defending him. Simple as that.
Brickdoctor Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 It's called a joke. This is the part where you say: "Lol" or "" or "O.M.G. Gordon, you so funny." MegaBloks*, Gordon, you're so funny! *Because saying "Lol" and "OMG" is not the type of English that EB staff members should be encouraging.
Scubacarrot Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 MegaBloks*, Gordon, you're so funny! *Because saying "Lol" and "OMG" is not the type of English that EB staff members should be encouraging. That was again a joke. Laughing out Loud.
Brickdoctor Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 That was again a joke. Laughing out Loud. I know. I was joking, too. Your ' ' threw me off the first time, but I can make jokes.I am Scum! I mean Town! Town, I say! Give me your red shirt so I can kill you and put it on my pet snake, the Psychiatrist! Oink oink! See?
Dakar A Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I don't like that you are vocally trying to discern who our Power Roles are... Sorry, I do that sometimes, and I really shouldn't. There's also a good chance he could be the Scum killer, I belive both postions woud act in a very similar way.

CMP Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I belive both postions woud act in a very similar way. Yeah, as long as they have the potential to kill people. It's not like allegiance has anything to do with behavior...

Please tell me how you see that Burbank's behaviour clearly points to him having the ability to kill people.
Hinckley Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012  So you meant to make that odd statement that you were trying to use as many facts as possible.
Dakar A Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Please tell me how you see that Burbank's behaviour clearly points to him having the ability to kill people. It doesn't clearly point anywhere, I was just surmising that his posting infrequently, and being less agressive than in the simulator, could show an altreior motive.

Dakar A Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 So you meant to make that odd statement that you were trying to use as many facts as possible. Yes, it was a joke, seeing as we don't have very many solid facts in mafia.
