purpleparadox Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Is that some sneaky way of saying the "Add to Jabba's Palace" contest is going to decide what comes underneath the tower? I think that was a sneaky way of saying- and this is a crazy idea, but- I think he was saying with Lego you can build whatever you want, so if you want something, just build it!
sologuy369 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Im kinda surprise we haven't had a list yet of what sets are coming out next year. I'm not. The sets rumors usually appear in the Fall .
Brickdoctor Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm not. The sets rumors usually appear in the Fall . Yes, this is the Winter Wave that's coming up next, so other than the Rancor Pit, I wouldn't expect anything for at least a month. We should see some lists of sets from sites like JediNews. TLG doesn't show off the sets for this wave the way they do with the Summer Wave sets at Toy Fair, but we should get some pics later in the year leaked from a retailer's catalog.

Or maybe at the New York Comic Con, I remember that is when we got the first 2012 set pictures.
Super Brick Collector Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Or maybe at the New York Comic Con, I remember that is when we got the first 2012 set pictures. No way I think before that we'll have pics. And I'll be attending the ny comic con this year.
HJR-Holland Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Why are you fanboys all forgetting Celebration VI? Would be a better venue to reveal new SW LEGO stuff
eric729 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 No way I think before that we'll have pics. And I'll be attending the ny comic con this year. Me too, I hope we can see the sets in real life!
Super Brick Collector Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Me too, I hope we can see the sets in real life! That's cool, yeah I'm hoping they have some nice exclusives there this year. And maybe they'll have the new sets on display.
Masked Builder Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I really don't expect to see anything from NY CC, LEGO never has before.
Super Brick Collector Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I really don't expect to see anything from NY CC, LEGO never has before. There's a first time for everything ;-)
Bilbo Baggins Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I really don't expect to see anything from NY CC, LEGO never has before. Well, they had never revealed a completely new set in a Comic Con before but they did in San Diego.
Masked Builder Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Well, they had never revealed a completely new set in a Comic Con before but they did in San Diego. Actually, they showed the TIE fighter last year.
Robominer Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Why are you fanboys all forgetting Celebration VI? Would be a better venue to reveal new SW LEGO stuff Has any LEGO set been unveiled at a Star Wars Celebration?
nrg Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Has any LEGO set been unveiled at a Star Wars Celebration? Nope.
mutley777 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Nope. Actually The motorized AT-AT was unveiled at Celebration Europe.
The Joker1 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Hi everybody. Im sure this has been pointed out already but on the back of the rancor pit their are some brown hinges- shown here 7569300876_954cc618dc_z by Joker 789, on Flickr I persume this means it is able to be opened out to form a wider open wall structure when it is not under the place? Cloney Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 The Rancor looks pretty good, though I was hoping that it was Brick-Built I couldnt care less if it was brick built or not ITS AN OFFICIAL RANCOR!!
Lyichir Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Hi everybody. Actually, what that looks like to me is that it fits under the similar opening segment on the front of Jabba's Palace (behind Jabba's platform). The Joker1 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Actually, what that looks like to me is that it fits under the similar opening segment on the front of Jabba's Palace (behind Jabba's platform). Ah I see that would make sense. Otherwise the front of the palace may jam or break. Shame though it would have been nice to open it out like a little playset. Oh well
Gunner Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Actually, I think that the gate section of the pit is hinged to allow the gate function to work when connected to the Palace. That way, this section wouldn't be completely under the palace, and the gate could be raised. Furthermore, the hinged section of the palace contains two of the holes used to connect both sets, so the back section of the palace can't be opened when they're connected.
sok117 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Has anyone else noticed the gap in the rancors teeth? Well, I think I know why that is. It's probably to allow Luke to fit the bone inbetween the mouth when it is completely opened. Rancor Set - 11 by fbtb, on Flickr
Ceroknight Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Interesting...I don't like the placement of the Rancor's eyes...
DarthR2-D2 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Interesting...I don't like the placement of the Rancor's eyes... Oh yeah. And the eyes aren't right anyway. They should be beady. No white showing. Just saying.
Lance Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Oh yeah. And the eyes aren't right anyway. They should be beady. No white showing. Just saying. It's to keep it consistant with minifigures. The Wampa did it too.
