A good point. The helmets are almost identical. All Lego would really have to do is lighten the color of the blue seen on his torso/legs, and give him a different face printing.

Well, we can hope for a rumors list next week or around CVI. It's usually in September that we begin to see the really preliminary photos.

Fingers crossed! :sweet:

And as far as I know, Lego hasn't created a new phase II clone design yet. The one seen in the battle pack was a phase I-II hybrid. We can probably hope for a mix of phase I and II for 2013.

I don't know about that. Yeah, they're similar but not the same. I think LEGO will go the whole way with any upcoming Jango Fett figure and we'll get something with a lot of detail specific to him, not just a slightly recoloured Mandolorian - though of course they are very similar. Lego knows that minifgures are a big draw when it comes to selling sets so it's highly likely we'll get something special for him.

"Its a CVI reveal this week, not a list of the 2013 sets... yet! Although, I see Clones, Pilots, Astromechs and more Planets early next year"

I hope we see this one (from Dex's Diner)! I do love me some astromechs

A complete R4-P17 minifigure would be nice too.

I think the Jedinews article is saying there will be a Jango Fett ornament based on the film, not a LEGO representation. It clearly states the Yoda ornament is LEGO based. Plus, looking at the last few years of Winter releases for

Star Wars, the top-off price is usually $60-$70. The Rancor pit clearly occupies that slot and there is no way you could convince me a Slave 1 from Episode II would be $60 or less, considering at the least there will be Jango minifig along with a young Boba. Don't get me wrong- I would LOVE a blast of Episode II sets and an $80 or $90 pimped out minifig loaded Jango Fett's Slave 1 would make a great summer release!

Perhaps a Mini Slave One wih Jango Fett minifigure and Kamino in the Planets line? that'd surely be a big seller. Not sure if LEGO would want to put a figure that would be a big selling point of an Episode II Slave One in a far cheaper set, though - but they've proven that they're not against including named characters in these sets, not just generic pilots ala Lobot.

Jango's face is most likely going to be similar to the newish stormtrooper face

I doubt it. Now that the Mandalorian helmet mold has a visor, there is no need for a black head.

It makes more sense to use Boba Fett's face than the Stormtrooper one.

Looking at that pic a little deeper, there is some interesting stuff there. That large brown thing in he upper right shelf. I know some have said that would be. UCS droid fighter, but I don't think so. Too boxy. That might actually be the TCW slaver ship. A few sets below it is what looks like one of those squid subs and the little sub Obi Wan uses during the TCW Kamino episodes? And finally hat Slave 1 near the middle, does that look more like the young Boba Fett TCW colors of the ship, rather than the OT or PT versions?

i also see a bust of Watto.......anyone else see it????

I believe that bust was only made for fun by one of the designers. If they were to release a new bust it would probably be a more iconic character such as Darth Vader.

Seriously! The suspense is killing me as well. We'll have our rumor list soon enough though. :classic:

That entire shelf is pretty much all MOCs and prototypes that the designers have put together in the name of developing the line over the years. I think that photo should be required viewing for everyone trying to submit a Star Wars idea to Cuusoo - it shows that whatever idea you've had, TLG were there long before you.

I have seen this picture before, but what catches my eye the most is the Mandolorian Shuttle, it looks just like the Mando fighter that came out in the summer, but it holds lots more passengers. I also see the Naboo Shelter Speeder, the one from TCW episode- Blue Shadow Virus. The only thing wrong is that THEY HAVEN'T REALEASED ANY OF THEM YET!!! But seriously lego, those look like great sets to me.

In any case, how much would Jango's look differ from that in the Mandalorian Battle Pack? I reckon there's plenty of children out there that just took one of those, plonked it in the 2010 Slave 1 and were done with it.

In LSW III his helmet and jetpack are silver, torso, arms and legs are sand blue, hips are brown and hands are black. Also he's got antena and of course he has got diffrent printing on face, helmet and torso. So if Jango would look like this, he would be diffrent enough for my taste. :classic:

Duncan Jenkins and I are doing a Collectors Panel at CVI and we're trying to get permission to reveal the January 2013 sets. I saw pictures of all the regular line (i.e. no exclusives) earlier this week (along with some of the other lines too) but I can't share any more just yet. I'll let you know if we're allowed as soon as we hear back.

I'd really love to see a new Jango Fett minifigure, especially since they haven't taken advantage of that new helmet to perfect him as they did Boba. Anything even remotely similar to (ideally even more detailed than!) the LSWIII video game version is a definite must-have for me.

Yoda's hut, A-Wing, or an Ewok Village? Hmm, if it was an Ewok Village it would have to be small, and I can't really see it happening that much. Another A-Wing or Yoda's Hut on the other hand, sound more possible. I'm thinking it will be Yoda's Hut, but that's just a gut feeling. I hope they'll be able to release the list of the sets soon!

With one of those three being real and Hallmark saying that there will be a LEGO Yoda ornament, I will put my money on a new Yoda's Hut at this point

Agreed, especially since there was a new A-Wing in the Home One set, which came out only a few years ago. Not to say that it couldn't happen, but I think of the three Yoda's Hut is the most likely.

I believe that he also hinted there that out of yoda's hut, ewok village, and A-wing, Lego would be doing one of the three

Yep, those were my ideas that James commented on. I'm personally hoping for a Dagobah set! I would love to see a good $40-50 playset.
