commander1 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 None of these sound interesting. Where are the EP II sets?! -Sc honestly im kinda am with you on that! I really think the only good set would be the atrt and headhunter They should really make mandolorian shuttle and the naboo shelter speeder!!!!
just2good Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 When I was out having a crappy time at the LEGO store (that story is for another day), this list came out. I'm not a Star Wars guy, but it sounds interesting! I really like the idea of a SW:TOR battle pack!
kermit Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) I am disappointed that there is no ewok village. Besides the rancor pit and the battle pack the rest of the sets are a let down. Edited August 17, 2012 by kermit
Brickadeer Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 As a whole, the wave doesn't appeal to me. I'm mostly interested in the sets containing clone troopers, and I wonder if they'll phase I or II, and PT or TCW. On the other hand, TLG's recent sets were pretty good, so I won't condemn the sets of this wave at this point of time on the base of the rumor list. I'm not interested in any TOR sets, though.
TheDarkness Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Will definitely need to see what they look like first. I'm always happy to get more clones, but apart from the Rancor Pit the list seems rather underwhelming.
Tobias_Jay Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I am personally excited for this Clone vs. Droideka pack! As much as they annoy the noodles out of me in the LEGO games, I really could use them in my brickfilms . I never really liked this Pong Krell character (the CW campaign with him made me wanna punch him in the face many times) but he would be a nice figure to abuse in my brickfilms. Almost thankfully, now that Ninjago is ending there will be a lot more space in my budget.
Muddy Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Okay I am a bit confused the - Republic Assault Striker is an Old Republic Set right? so why does it come with a Clone Pilot? Shouldn't it come with an Old Republic Figure? The Old Republic Battle Pack looks interesting - I had thrown together an idea where you can have 3 minifgures a Twi'Lek, a Human, and Zabarak that could be interechanged in order to make alot of differnet characters sorta like picking your own character from a game. - I am betting they are going to be less ambitious but I am betting we are probably going to get at least 2 heavy hitters in the set? Any guesses? Clones vs Droideka's - I wonder if it is a NEW version or an old version? A-Wing - BOOOOO AT-RT with Yoda sounds like it should be the set with Pong Krell in it - hello lego definitely needs him in these sets Headhunter is a welcome addition but are they clone troopers are clone pilots? I think the Astroid should either be a SHOE or a POTATOE!

I'm think we will see one in the Summer 2013 wave. Or most likely in a 2014 wave, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. Edited August 17, 2012 by just2good
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I really doubt this are the actual sets, no EpII sets? TLG would certanly not pass on making sets of this movie with the release in 3D . I'm still really excited about this sets
robotimms Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Really looking forward to possibly seeing a Z-95! It does seem odd that there are no EPII sets though. Wonder what we'll see in the Old Republic set? Maybe we'll see a Shae Vizla figure or a helmeted Republic trooper.

just2good Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I really doubt this are the actual sets, no EpII sets? TLG would certanly not pass on making sets of this movie with the release in 3D . They barely had any EPI sets in the first of wave this year.
Admiral-Ackbar Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 After seeing this list for what is supposedly next years winter wave sets, I must say that it is very uninteresting to me. The Battle Packs are always a buy regardless of the content due to the low price, and I collect those planets too, but other than that, unless we see General Krell or good Phase 2 clone troopers such as Rex or Fives, it's a no buy for me. Might get the AT-RT however.
Muddy Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Actually, Jedi News has been consistently right with set lists for quite a number of years now. Yup only screwed up in '09 with the TIE bomber, and Missed Sugi on her own gunship
Oky Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 This is kind of a disappointing list for me. The planet sets sound horrible. I mean, an astromech with Kamino and another TIE Pilot with an Asteroid?? Endor and the Death Star were pushing the definition of a planet already, but an asteroid is just too bizarre. I hope these aren't true because otherwise it will be a big waste of opportunity. And another Han in the A-Wing. Whoopee. The AT-RT set also sounds odd. Aside from the fact that Yoda has never fought commando or assassin droids, an AT-RT doesn't seem like enough substance for a set, so either there's something else included in this set that we don't know about, or it's a ridiculously oversized AT-RT like 7250. The only sets I'm excited about are the BPs (assuming they come with new minifigs) and the Headhunter, but this might change when we get to see some pics.
halomaster96 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I personally think this is a great list as I love the Clone Wars! Although there were some missed opportunities and dissapointments: Kamino- Really, an Astromech droid? Why not a kaminoan? Coruscant- I can never get enough clone pilots, so this will be the first planet I buy! Asteroid- Incredibly useless, don't know why it's even made. The Old Republic Battle Pack- Don't play the game so don't know what to expect but the other two TOR sets look great and I have faith that this one will too! Clone Troopers vs Droidekas Battle Pack- This will be the perfect set for me if 1) they're phase 2 clones will a new helmet design where I can use regular clone heads and 2) the droidekas are a new design that looks good and can roll into a ball! A-Wing- I have the home one so this is useless to me. AT-RT- I hope that this actually has more than one at-rt, the assassin droid is a placeholder, and the clone is either p2 Rex or Fives otherwise it will be . Z-95 Headhunter- This ship looks really cool and I hope it has Pong Krell and the clones will be 501st so . The Rancor Pit- Already know this is a must-buy! So all in all I really like this list much better than this year's and I can't wait to see pics! Now if only the Superheroes list(s) will be this good.
djanscak Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Am I the only person who is intrigued by the asteroid?
North Lego Star Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) My perdictions were almost all correct(except for the AT-RT set!) Well, its nice to finally see some rumors, although I would have loved to see pictures, it still nice. Here are my opinions on the sets... Old Republic Battlepack:I really thought this theme would die preety quickly but, I may just pick up this battlepack if it ends up coming with 2 Repubilc troopers, 2 Sith trooper and the sith speeder pad( I don't think thats what its called but it would be a great battlepack vechical.) Clone Trooper and Droideka Battle Pack: Not much to say, otherthan PHASE II CLONE TROOPERS, I think everyone would pick up this set just for them. I also thought that this battlepack would include the an AT-RT but who knows. A-wing Starfighter: Well I think everyone was excepting this set so not much of a suprise but, still a nice set. Sadly lego will end up selling this set for 25 dollars since they threw in Han Solo(Hopefully he'll be in his endor jacket, that would make this set a purchase for me.) AT-RT walker set: To be truthful, I doubt this will be a set, it just sounds to strange, even for lego to include yoda, a clone trooper and an assassin droid in one set with a smaller vechical like the AT-RT all in one set. I really hope we see an Umbaran Tank instead, It would be nice to see 2 umbaran soilders and Fives or Hardcase. Republic Z-95 headhunter: I somehow just knew this was going to be a set this wave, I think this will be a great set, and if Hulk_Smash is correct, and there was a Pong Krell in that set it would just make this set even better. As for the Planet sets, I think I may buy the Kamino one if the astro droid is R4-P17(there's everyone's AOTC set) but, I think thats it because, I already have plenty of TIE Pilots(Although there's a difference between a TIE Bomber pilot and a TIE pilot) an I don't think the astriode is all that great other than possibly recreating the Dogfight in Episode 5 and although Coruscant will be a great planet, I have no clue what a Republic Assult ship is and I pretty sure we would be getting a Phase 1 clone Pilot. I really hope to see some pictures soon!!!! Edited August 18, 2012 by North Lego Star
just2good Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Am I the only person who is intrigued by the asteroid? Pretty much. But now that I think about it, I'm curious too.
Oky Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Kamino- Really, an Astromech droid? Why not a kaminoan? Exactly! I'm guessing because it would require a new head mold. This set would have been infinitely better if it included a mini Slave I and Jango Fett.
Fighter of Frizzies Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Pretty much. But now that I think about it, I'm curious too. What would be really cool is if there were four studs at an odd angle with a few pieces to attach a build-able space slug.
Tobias_Jay Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) I really doubt this are the actual sets, no EpII sets? TLG would certanly not pass on making sets of this movie with the release in 3D . I'm still really excited about this sets I'm probably wrong (lke I usually am with this sort of thing) but didn't the EPI sets for the 3D release come in the second wave? If so that is where those wanted-by-many EPII sets are. On the topic of this Kamino/astromech thing, like someone said before they have been wrong on some occasions. You never know. XimenaPaulina Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Krell isn't mentioned with the Headhunter? That's either a mistake or we aren't getting him. I'd take Hulk_Smash's word for it as he saw that "jedi with four arms with double lightsabers" in the catalogue. Unless he was hallucinating and imagining things at that time. Plus, Krell was one of the most popular ("hated") and memorable characters last season, and with the quadruple-armed torso from the NinjaGo line, you have the perfect recipe for a new minifig. no EpII sets? Well there's always the second wave, and JediNews have been a reliable source throughout the years. Besides, TLG's timing has been kinda suspect recently, just look at the December release of the TDKR Batman set (5 months after the actual movie showing ). - The CW sets would almost surely include Phase II sets, they already have the mold with last year's ARC Trooper so it would just require a couple of new print designs. - Even if the A-Wing has been done several times already, I've kept avoiding getting it as it doesn't appeal to me much, but if the minifigs and price of this set are tempting then I might get this one. - The AT-RT set, no matter how much it doesn't make sense with Yoda fighting assassin droids, is quite intriguing. With the plethora of fan-made AT-RT designs, I'm really curious how would they re-design this walker, will it be the same as the one in the CTT set or a new design? - I think I'm the only one who's interested to see how the "asteroid" planet set would look like. What if it will be a rocky-asteroid-type shape unlike the regular smooth spherical mold of the other 'planets'?
odinson1313 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Am I the only person who is intrigued by the asteroid? Nope, I'm totally with you on this one. I'm expecting that it'll still be spherical, like the other planet sets, but I'd love to see it more molded, something like these:
TD1000 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The only astromech to ever be seen on Kamino was R4-P17 who, at that point, had only a head attached to the Obi-Wan's JSF. If it is an astromech to be included with the Kamino planet set then I'd guess it would be that one albeit with a full body like it had in ROTS.
