Daimar Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Old Republic Battle Pack : finally, I hoped they made one when I saw the TOR sets from this year and now they did. Yaaaay! Clone Troopers vs Droidekas Battle Pack: Since I dont have any droidekas, I am verry happy to finaly get one, and there can never be enough clones for me. A-Wing: If it is an UCS than its a no-go, but if its a normal set, than its theoreticaly mine;). AT-RT: This one, I will skip. Z-95 Headhunter: I like this ship, so its okay for me. Rancor Pit: Just awesome, thats all. Planet set Kamino: I thinks a clone-pilot would be the better choice for the figure, but a new astro-droid is okay. Planet set Coruscant: Why, why, why? Wouldnt the senate guards be a much better choice, I really hoped that it would happen, but now... oh well, at least I get a clone-pilot here, since I dont have any, so the dissapointment isnt that big. Planet set Asteroid: My bet is that it will be a black sphere with asteroids and stars painted on it, if it will be an actual, new, asteroid mold (I doubt it highly) then I would be fairly surprised. The minifig is so-so, its okay but a imperial officer would be much better. Edited August 18, 2012 by Daimar
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 There were clones, and it did say clones, not republic troopers, but they could have got it wrong. Krulis Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 There were clones, and it did say clones, not republic troopers, but they could have got it wrong. Well in last year catalog under Geonosian Cannon it was written that it fatures 2 Geonosian warriors but we get 1 warrior and 1 zombie. So I think that clone was preliminary (or it's just TLG mistake) .

commanderneyo Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The SWTOR battle pack has 2 clones and 2 sith troopers, with a small speeder, and looks quite good, and the asteroid is actually asteroidS, and is black from the pic i have seen. Do you know what was in the Clones vs Droidekas pack? Was it TCW and did it feature Phase II Clones?
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 It is 2 Droidekas and 2 clones, but they were phase 1, but that could be(and possibly is) preliminary.
Rune Haako Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) I'm surprised that Geonosis isn't one of the planet sets. When they do it, hopefully it'll be Poggle the Lesser and a Geonosian fighter. Edited August 18, 2012 by Rune Haako
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I'm surprised that Geonosis isn't one of the planet sets. That might be because we go some Geonosians at the begging of the year.
North Lego Star Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Well, The AT-RT set makes alot more sense now, although I would have been more pleased by an Umbaran Tank( I thought lego usually tried to have a set from the same event to battle an other set from that same event...2012: X-wing vs. TIE Fighter, 2011: Bounty Hunter Gunship vs. T6 Jedi Shuttle, 2010: Droid Tri Fighter vs. ARC-170 Starfighter and 2009: Republic Attack Shuttle vs Droid AAT) but, I like the idea of a Kashyyyk set with Yoda, an AT-RT Driver, and I think it will end up being a Super Battle Droid instead of an Assassin Droid. It dose seem like a very small set if it just included an AT-RT walker so, I hope lego will through in a new Dwarf Spider Droid to battle the AT-RT. Has there been any news on the two limited edition sets? I have a good feeling that one will be a TIE Interceptor and the other, an AOTC set(Really Hope to see a Tusken Raider Village Set!) commanderneyo Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Uhmmm guys, wasn't it said 3 of the 6 regular line sets were TCW and the other 3 were something else? The other 3 are Rancor Pit, A-Wing and the TOR battle pack, so both the AT-RT Walker and Clones vs Droidekas have to be TCW sets, along with the Z-95 Headhunter. I don't know why people suddenly are thinking the AT-RT is a ROTS set...
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The AT-RT is defiantly a clone wars set as it has a clone wars Yoda.
commanderneyo Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The AT-RT is defiantly a clone wars set as it has a clone wars Yoda. Thank you. I presume the Yoda and Assassin Droid are the same as before, but was the Clone in that set a new version or the same? And did you see the Z-95 Headhunter mini-figures?
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The Yoda and droid look the same, all clones were phase 1 but are probably just place holders, the z95 has a pilot Pong Krell (who was a prelim figure with bossks head) and I think there was another but can't remember, might have been a clone.
Krulis Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The AT-RT is defiantly a clone wars set as it has a clone wars Yoda. I still hope that Lego will change CW Yoda colour from sand green to olive green in final version. Or it could be ep III set in preliminary stage. Or nothing will change and we'll get CW Yoda. Only time will tell. And how is asassian droid head made? Doma it look like in old asassian droid bp or last year executor star destroyer?
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 It's the commando droid that came in the clones vs droid battle pack this year.

Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Thanks for the info Hulk_Smash, so now I just have to save up some money.:) No problems, I'm getting them al as well! And if anyone was wondering, the packaging is green with Yoda on, but I think everyone knew that all read :)
Krulis Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 It's the commando droid that came in the clones vs droid battle pack this year. It's even better. I've got confused because Jedinews reported that it fatures asassian droid.

Well in that case, do think its possible for the yoda and assassin droid to be place holders for a new yoda minifig and a new Super battle droid minifig, Hulk-Smash? Also was the AT-RT set background more dark and gloomy or green with trees?
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Well it did have prelim pics so it is possible. Can't remember the background, but the AT-RT itself was blue.

Thanks for the information Hulk_Smash. Well at this point, I have no clue what lego was thinking when they designed this set since its clearly an Umbaran AT-RT Walker, hopefully this set is still undergoing designs rather than an actual set(its just not right to have 3 characters who have never been seen together before in a CW episode in the same set with such a small vechical as the AT-RT as the main vechical.)
General Magma Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Well it did have prelim pics so it is possible. Can't remember the background, but the AT-RT itself was blue. Thanks for the info so far. I'm mostly interested in the SWTOR one - on one side I'm glad we get 2 Republic troopers and 2 Sith troopers, but on the other hand, one of the Sith troopers could've been replaced by one of those Sith warriors from the Battle of Alderaan. Not sure what battle it's supposed to recreate though, if anything in specific. Have you by any chance seen things from other themes? LOTR The Hobbit perhaps? Edited August 18, 2012 by General Magma
Hulk_Smash Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 There was no LOTR, but there was a page for The Hobbit, showing about 6 box's, no pics or names though. But http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/The_Hobbit:_An_Unexpected_Journey this has what the sets are.
TheLegoDr Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Thanks for the list! This list really excites me because (until I see pictures) I only want the Rancor set. That means I can save up money for other themes since I know Super Heroes will eat up a lot of my budget. I would expect Ep II sets in the summer wave, but even then, not a lot of them. One would think they would release them with the movie release, but that rarely seems to be the case (Batman coming out in December when the movie came out in July. Unless they are planning to sell it with the dvd release, which may/may not work as well). I would have loved a Kaminoan figure, but maybe they will release one (or two) in a larger set (thus getting money back on a new mold). We need some Taun We and Lama Su!!!
