XimenaPaulina Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 And did I spot some Eta-actis interceptors in that trailer? If only Lego will make a CW versions of... Yes this upcoming season will finally introduce the Eta-2s, though I don't think there's any difference between the CW and movie versions (except for the show's penchant of making custom rainbow-colored paint jobs). But knowing TLG's love for making small-sized starfighter sets (just look at the yearly Delta 7Bs they've released), we might just get a CW Eta-2 along the way...
Bobsy Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Any set as big as the Petranaki Arena would need to wait for the summer wave. Still, I'm upset they completely left out any AOTC sets. I hope the summer wave is all AOTC, minus maybe one or two OT, with no CW. We have slowly been getting remakes of all the old PT characters, but AOTC is the one that needs it most, since they only did a few sets when the movie was released the first time. As much as all these sets sound interesting, I'll probably only get the Rancor Pit, Z-95 (for Krell), and the BPs. No Clone Wars in the wave? You're going to be seriously disappointed. TCW is on the telly right now, and like it or not it's the hottest property in the Star Wars franchise. They will continue to promote TCW ahead of the films while it's still relavent. And when it's gone, the live-action TV series will take over.
Clone OPatra Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 The Yoda differences seem way too subtle for them to make a new mould. Just look at Obi-Wan. His costume has actually been different for two seasons, and LEGO still used the exact same Obi-Wan figure in the Mando Fighter. I'm really not too sure we'd see a new CW Yoda.

That set is based out of the Second season. So he wasn't in his new outfit yet, but I agree.
Sam892 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 The first wave of sets is really a mixed bag for me. The Battle packs seem pretty good and its good to see that LEGO is continuing with TOR. I'm a bit suprised at the lack of any Ep 2 sets, but a lot of the CW stuff is the same. Maybe in the summer wave we will get a Jedi star fighter for Obi Wan. The planet sets seem very mixed while I look forward to getting a new R4 I'm dissapointed that we will be getting another Tie pilot as we got him with the Death Star. Also that planet set sounds awful printed astroids? come on LEGO thats just lame. The Headhunter and the AT-RT sound interresting i would be nice to get a new non CW printed Yoda but i'm guessing that its CW. The rancor pit is also nice not perfect as I feel it could of had more walls and a floor. Hulk-Smash were the clone troopers in the new Battle packs and in the other sets the Phase II troopers or were they the same old troopers. Also did they have any markings or colours?

They were regular white ones, but it was preliminary, so it's more then likely we will be seeing some Phase II clones, as these sets are from season 4 (were Phase II debuts)
Pulp Detective Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hey Hulk_Smash,in the upcoming old republic battle back, wat type of helm had the republic troopers?? and the sith troopers were the same like the Fury Class Interceptor??
ghostmind Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Perhaps now with both EP2 and EP3 3D versions coming to theatres in the same year, TLG's plan that they seemed to have for EP1 couldn't be executed in the same fashion, hence the lack of EP2 sets. Pure speculation of course.
jmagaletta Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hey Hulk_Smash,in the upcoming old republic battle back, wat type of helm had the republic troopers?? and the sith troopers were the same like the Fury Class Interceptor?? I think questions like this are unnesesary, any pictures he has seen will all be preliminary and most of the time have stand ins for the figures of the set. for example

Pure speculation of course. No, I definitely agree with you. I think everyone expected AotC 3D to hit theaters early this coming year, not in September. So it's probably a safe bet that we'll see Episode II sets in next summer's wave.

Like jmagaletta said I have seen prelim pics, and with that said there was two clones in the set. But the sith were the same but more red.
Pvt Lego Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Just a quick comment. that's not the list, there is 5-7 set missing. Cause we now get 3 Planet Sets, 6 System Sets, 2 Exclusive Sets and 2 Battle Packs and so far we have only scene 3 Planet, 2 Battle pack and 4 system. I would really like to know a source of this information!
Pulp Detective Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) Like jmagaletta said I have seen prelim pics, and with that said there was two clones in the set. But the sith were the same but more red. thanks man, cant wait for the official pics of the sets. Edited August 27, 2012 by LOTR343

The Mando Fighter was based on a Season 2 episode though, which was why Obi-Wan (and Pre Vizsla) had his older costume.
commander1 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) Right, heres the Clone Wars Season 5 trailer, we see the Z-95 a lot in the trailer as well as a new version of Yoda in the clone wars that might be in the AT-RT! David OMG! That is the best season yet!!!!! I cant believe they have let sidious out finally! I can see the separatist strategy- take to planets, have the republic divide half of their forces, and the separatists destroys them all! Of course they will probably just have the republic win at the last episode or something! Edited August 28, 2012 by Iron Mac Quoted Media removed
Admiral-Ackbar Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Now that the list has been 'confirmed' (I really hope this is not the final list; especially for the planets sake), I thought it's time for me to give my thoughts on this upcoming wave. Using the smiley face > thumbs up > annoyed face > thumbs down system. The Old Republic BP: I'm not quite sure what to think about this set, with two Sith troops and two Republic troops, it may be very cool. Again, as has been said, I hope for Republic Trooper helmets and maybe a Sith Warrior. Clones vs Droideka BP: Sniper droidekas? Really? Why not give us the regular droideka and a couple of Super Battle Droids or something? Will be a smiley face if the clones are Phase 2 though. AT-RT: Still need a Yoda for my minifig collection, so this will do nicely, plus there is an opportunity for Phase 2 clone once again. Yoda needs a new print, and head, and colour. HINT HINT. A-Wing: I own Ackbar already (cough*username*splutter) so this would be more about how well the ship is designed. If it is the same as the Home One, I will not be amused. Unless we see an Endor camo Han. Z-95 Headhunter: Love the Clone Wars, so I will hopefully love this. Pong Krell!?!?!?! I must have him! Rancor Pit: Own Jabbas Palace and the Desert Skiff so this would complete that collection. Not happy about having two Ep 6 Lukes from the same sub story though. Go Rancor! Kamino Planet: NOT what we wanted from Kamino, the ship could have been more.....iconic. And the character completely newly designed and flesh.......Jango Fett. And not a wee beeper. Coruscant Planet: Not needing another clone pilot. May be redeemed by good Acclamator (my second favorite ship) or a better minifig such as a politician. Asteroid Planet (?): Again, NOT what we wanted from Lego, and to make matters worse, another tie pilot? Why Lego why? Anyway, to sum up, regular sets good, planet sets bad.
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 A-Wing: I own Ackbar already (cough*username*splutter) so this would be more about how well the ship is designed. If it is the same as the Home One, I will not be amused. Unless we see an Endor camo Han. It still hasn't been confirmed if it is the same as Ackbar, it has only been announced as Mon Calamari.
Faefrost Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Hey Hulk_Smash,in the upcoming old republic battle back, wat type of helm had the republic troopers?? and the sith troopers were the same like the Fury Class Interceptor?? I can't find where someone said it, but I think it was indicated that the Sith Troopers would be the red armored versions instead of the blue. (same helmet and armor, just red.)

Hmm intresting, that makes the two you get from Fury Class Interceptor even more rare, thanks for info man,but as most ppl say it's preliminary so we'll get our full idea of the sets when the official pics show up. Drock Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Maybe we'll see AotC and RotS sets in the summer wave, as they're both being released theatrically in 3D next year. Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith to be theatrically released in 3D back-to-back in September and October, 2013 Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox have announced the official release dates for the 3D theatrical launch of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Attendees at the closing ceremony for Star Wars Celebration VI, the franchise's massive fan event, learned that the epic movies that chronicle the rise of the Galactic Empire will be released back-to-back, with Episode II hitting theaters on September 20, 2013 and Episode III arriving soon after on October 11, 2013. With its deeply detailed worlds and engulfing action, Star Wars is perfectly suited for the immersive 3D theatrical experience. Episode II and III deliver such captivating locales as the gleaming clone hatcheries of rain-swept Kamino, and the fiery lava planet of Mustafar as well as spectacular action sequences like Yoda's unforgettable debut as a lightsaber duelist, the explosive space and ground battles of the Clone Wars, and the dramatic showdown between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Supervised by Industrial Light & Magic, the meticulous 3D conversion was undertaken by Prime Focus, the global visual entertainment services company. With their proprietary View-D™ process, Prime Focus transformed Episode II and III into 3D with the utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological consideration and artistic intentions. http://www.starwars.com/news/episode_ii_and_episode_iii_in_3d.html
XimenaPaulina Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I was thinking about the upcoming Z-95 set, considering it's most likely based on the Umbara story arc last season due to the presence of the General Krell fig, we might be getting Hawk (below) as the clone pilot who appeared (briefly in that arc). Personally I prefer just a generic Phase II clone pilot (new helmet mold with yellow linings) since it'll be more useable for other purposes. For the two rumored clone troopers of the set they'll probably be from the 501st Legion (under Krell's command) - so probably Appo and a generic 501st trooper in Phase II armor. EDIT: Scrap the possibility of Hawk, as I remembered he flew a gunship and not a Z-95 in the series (as well as in the CW movie), but still it's safe to assume we'd get a new clone pilot helmet like in the image.

XimenaPaulina Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Warthog would fit in your description: http://www.starwars....acters/warthog/ Nah, too much random helmet printing for my taste. A generic Phase II clone pilot would do (and probably be a good bet for the set).

Wait, so there will be two clones, one pilot, and Krell? Or just 1 clone, 1 pilot, and Krell? And also, Appo? He only had like 30 seconds of screen time. He was pretty much a nobody compared to Rex, Fives, Jesse, Hardcase and Dogma. Bottom line is, it would make more sense for Lego to release P2 Rex in this set instead of a someone like Appo.
