Pvt Lego Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Very nice to hear about 8 new regular sets instead of 6 for winter wave! List is great. One question about new Lego box design for 2013, someone said he saw prelim photos of sets in catalogue, so I wish to know how looks like new box..? Is it the same design like this year, just with Yoda on top and with minifigs on the right side, in column order?

As far as I can remember it was the same as this years, but with Yoda and being green.
DarthPotato Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I find it cool how they're basing several Clone Wars sets off of one episode or arc. There's two Umbaran sets and two sets based off of the episode Kidnapped. I'd definitely like to see TLG do this more in the future.
CBMM1 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Still only buying the Rancor Pit... Wave is a failure IMO. Oh well more money for Superheroes then. Im going to need it...
Sam892 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 After seeing the Dark red Rangefinders and Visors in this years battle pack we will hopefully get a orange and blue set next year. Especially since we're getting 501st and 212th troopers in sets.
commander1 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I am ready for the pics!! Must buys- Headhunter and Umbaran MHC. Finally an umbaran set. They really should have made the UHT [umbaran hover tank]
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Any idea when we might hear of the exclusive sets?
North Lego Star Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Any idea when we might hear of the exclusive sets? Well, I personally believe we'll see a TIE Interceptor as an exclusive set and maybe a an Episode Two set, if the BARC speeder set and the Umbaran MHC are not the two exclusive sets.
Fighter of Frizzies Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 How likely is it that Lego will make some dungeon that could go underneath the tower in the Jabba's Palace set? Given that it would be an "add-on" without something as marketable as a Rancor, I imagine that could be an exclusive (if it were ever made).

I doubt it, something like that works with the Hogwarts Castle because that's where a majority of event happen in Harry Potter, but Jabba's Palace is only a small fraction of the many places events happen in Star Wars..

True. And I imagine having the tower detached from the rest of the playset isn't in terrible need of fixing. (I'd much rather see the TIE Interceptor too!) I would suggest a droid room with an "incinerator" or like you said a dungeon including some random alien prisoner minfigs.
XimenaPaulina Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I hope the trooper in the AT-RT is a ARF trooper or AT-RT driver, not just a generic 501st trooper. I see no reason why we wouldn't get either an ARF trooper (existing helmet mold) or an AT-RT driver (new helmet mold), putting a regular clone in the AT-RT just won't look right. The question is where will this set be based on, ROTS or CW? Judging by the presence of commando/assassin droid it's most likely CW. And was it confirmed that the clone in this set would be a 501st trooper? If it is, then there is the possibility of getting the 501st ARF/AT-RT driver (below) from the Umbara story arc (which makes more sense since it will be compatible with the other sets - Z-95, Umbarran MHC). The 501st ARF/AT-RT driver is basically a cross between the regular ARF helmet and the AT-RT driver (transition from CW to ROTS).

Brickadeer Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Oh boy...if we get an ARF, I hope it's visor printing will be consistent with the ARF of 7913, and not with the one of 9488.
Sam892 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Oh boy...if we get an ARF, I hope it's visor printing will be consistent with the ARF of 7913, and not with the one of 9488. I think a helmet on the ARF trooper will be a new print. After all LEGO will want to Give us as many reasons to buy the set. The last two ARFs were based on Mace windu's squad ( Lightning) and Plo Koon's ( Wolf Pack ). As this is based on Skywalkers squad it will most likely have blue markings. The only thing that throws me off a little bit is why Yoda would be in the set? It seems a bit strange which although unlikely could point to a future episode of CW. I don't remember Yoda having a squadron but it could be any range of colours since he just seems to borrow Clones. Anyway I doubt that the ARF will have be used else where as LEGO love to put 'NEW' all over the box art. The only Figure in the set that might not be 'New would be Yoda as LEGO could get away with using the Mold again.
commander1 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 when is it possible to see any pictures? im kinda ready for them!
TheRedGuy Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Wait a second, isn't there already a phase 2 clone in 8091?
Brickdoctor Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 when is it possible to see any pictures? im kinda ready for them! I say again, we are not supposed to see any pictures before the release of this wave. (other than what TLG unveils at events, obviously) The pictures in the retailers' catalog are for retailers' eyes only. If things went the way TLG intended them to, we wouldn't even know the names of the sets that are in the catalog. If we do get to see them, then that is a lucky leak and not a fulfillment of a right.
Sam892 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Wait a second, isn't there already a phase 2 clone in 8091? That's the old phase II Mold from 2005. Lego will remake the Helmet as its quite dated like the 2001 version of the phase I. The new Mold would not have the hole in the front of the helmet which creates the visor, this is so that the new helmet will look complete and so a flesh face can be inside.
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I can't believe we are getting an ARF I hope TLG makes him well.
Super Brick Collector Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I can't believe we are getting an ARF I hope TLG makes him well. Is that bad? We already have 3 different ARF troopers.
Zzz Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 This wave doesn't seem to be made for me but I am happy for all the CW fans here and hope you guys get what you need! I hope the A-Wing is a decent set - give me Endor Han and a nice spaceship and I am all fine with this. Still need some older sets anyhow and have much bigger worries than spending money on Lego! Also (yeah, let me rant a little once in a while) I find 13€ for the planet sets and 17€ for a BP with only 2 clones just a little bit too much asked for, so it might be the right time to calm down a little about LSW. One thing that bugs me though - the Acclamator has really a pilot? I always thought those were a bunch of guys dressed like Navy officers.
Sam892 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 So I'm guessing the next summer wave will be mostly ROTJ, AOTC and ROTS with a couple of clone wars. Seems start to release a lot of CW stuff mid season.
