Super Brick Collector Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 One thing that bugs me though - the Acclamator has really a pilot? I always thought those were a bunch of guys dressed like Navy officers. You know your absolutely correct I didn't think about it. They should include a naval officer.
DarthPotato Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) I'm completely fine with all of the Clone Wars stuff, but that's because I'm a Clone Wars fan. I'm really happy how they were able to catch up with all of these season 4 sets, too. Hopefully we'll be seeing lots more Phase 2 clones in the future! Edited September 3, 2012 by DarthPotato
Commander Blitz Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Go BPs! I have always loved the battle packs, and these look exceptional. I especially want the droideka vs. Clones battle pack, because I have no droidekas. WANT GENERAL PONG KRELL!
Vindice Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Personally although i appreciate the cartoon, I'm not a fan of the CW side of the SW Lego theme. Give me OT sets anyday. But I am very grateful for the respite on my wallet! With collecting the superhero theme and the LOTR sets, my spending was starting to get very difficult to justify to the wife and all our friends who seem to think i'm a LEGO-obsessed nutter!

jmagaletta Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Around what time last year did we get the leaks of the Winter 2012 sets? If I remeber correctly this was pretty late, Novemberish?
General Magma Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 So we've officially reached 5-digit numbers for regular sets, then? Some of these sound interesting, but if anything at all, I'd only buy the SWTOR pack. It will save me enough money for the Middle-Earth sets as well.
Mraz Skintas Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 These all sound great, save for the planet sets, they're a bit of a let down. I've never been one for mini's really, but I'd still buy if they had better, non generic figs. The Battlepacks sounds amazing. I really hope the clones are 501st, with printed visors, and the BP clones are generic 501st. I'm still not sure if I like the two sided battle packs though, I prefered getting 4 troopers of the same faction per wave, with at least two in the same Legion or battalion or whatever. While I did like the new ARF trooper and Colt that came in this years, the Cammando Droids seemed a bit off to me, and I dont really want an army of Colts. So here's hopin for generic Clones next year
TheLegoDr Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Based on the list alone, I am very thankful I will be saving lots of money next year on SW LEGO. When pictures are available, I may end up changing my mind, but I actually hope I do not. I need to make room for those other themes and since I'm only a mild SW fan, I don't want them hogging my budget. I'm mostly excited for May the Fourth promotion.

TLG seems to have gona mad with their printing abilities and blank generic troopers are becoming rarer, which is a great shame. I kind of hope the BP clones are plain white, simply because they can be used more widely. I think the two army battlepacks are a great marketing scheme though as they mean one has to buy two of the same set to get what they could have got with just one previously :L
Brickadeer Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Around what time last year did we get the leaks of the Winter 2012 sets? If I remeber correctly this was pretty late, Novemberish? Premlim pics leaked around September 7th. Official pics (from retailer websites) leaked around Oktober 12th.
Brick master of the force Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) -A-wing: I will get for ackbar only. -AT-RT: I will get for the minifigs only. -TORBP: Meh. -CVSDDBP: skip-able but will probably get. -Head hunter: sounds interesting. -BARC speeder: also sounds interesting. -Tank: sounds great. -Planet sets series 3: no just no. -Planet series 4: Interesting but passable. Still waiting for Yoda's hut and ROTS Obi-wan vs. General Grievous set's. Edited September 4, 2012 by Brick master of the force
Sam892 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Premlim pics leaked around September 7th. Official pics (from retailer websites) leaked around Oktober 12th. Remember that the prelim pics won't really show us much they won't have pictures of new figs and the sets will be prototypes.
jmagaletta Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I am not sure why, but i find myself wanting almost all of the sets, as long as some suspicions are true: TOR Battle pack - Will get as long as republic troopers have new helmet design, not like the striker fighter. Also can't get enough sith troopers. CW Battle pack - Will get as long as clones are phase II AT-RT - Same as above A-Wing - Never had one so hopefully this one is done well Z-95 - Like the ship in cw also hoping for a new pilots helmet. BARC Speeder - skeptical, but will get if it has a phase II rex. Umbaran Tank - hopeing for it to be massive and excited about the idea of umbaran minifigs. Does anyone else agree?
halomaster96 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Now that we have the January set list (which I am now mildly excited for ), how long do you all think before we get the leaked summer 2013 set list?
Krulis Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Now that we have the January set list (which I am now mildly excited for ), how long do you all think before we get the leaked summer 2013 set list? We haven't even seen any pics of the winter wave and you want summer leaks? I don't think that we'll see or hear anything new before may.
wesker Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Shame Ahsoka is the only female minifig this wave. Princess Leia where are you?
commander1 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Shame Ahsoka is the only female minifig this wave. Princess Leia where are you? Haha. Saying that we got Leia in the Y Wing and wasn't she also in Jabba's Palace just this summer? Im guessing that is why We don't get a lot of females any ways....
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Premlim pics leaked around September 7th. Official pics (from retailer websites) leaked around Oktober 12th. Good to know, I thought we were having a year without preliminary pics, now I know all hope isn't lost
just2good Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Premlim pics leaked around September 7th. Official pics (from retailer websites) leaked around Oktober 12th. Heck, for some themes we don't even have set numbers yet. For others, we don't even know what will be in them. I think we should just wait for October... Everything seems to be late this year.

Drock Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 They could always make them like they have done with the new Ninjago powered ninjas. Make them from Maresk blue or a light blue with white printing. That's what I had in mind: the light blue "NRG Zane"
Super Brick Collector Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Now that we have the January set list (which I am now mildly excited for ), how long do you all think before we get the leaked summer 2013 set list? Summer sets will be displayed at NYC toy fair next year in February.
DarthPotato Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I'm actually fine that we haven't gotten prelim pics yet... I mean, we just recently got the set list. There's no pleasing Lego fans. You give us something cool and then we just continue to ask for more of it.
J.V.D. Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Unless pictures, the actual sets or the next wave convince me otherwise, I guess 2013 will be a relative cheap Lego SW year for me. That list is to much CW orientated for my taste. I more then probably will get the Rancor pit (but first still this years Jabbas palace), and maybe a battlepack and a planet set or 2. I migh consider the A-wing, but since I got the Home One a couple of years back (and have thus Ackbar and a recent A-wing in the collection), I guess I will pass that too. Just an updated version of the admiral won't be enough to separate me from my money :-) . (same reason I skipped the skiff this year). Well, it gives the cartoon and game fans a chance to expand their collection, and me the possibility to get maybe duplicates of 2012 sets on my 2013 budget.
