I sure hope there will still be some more Phase I Clone Troopers coming out, like captain Keeli or Lieutenant Thire. Of course it would also be great to get some regular Phase I Troopers in special colors, according to which battalion they belong. :sceptic:

These new sets sound very interesting, I just hope they look as good as the sound and that the ARF Trooper will be the same as the one in set 7913 or 9488. I really wouldn't like it if they came up with yet an other visor. :hmpf_bad: I was so disappointed wen it became clear the visors of the Horn company and Bomb squad troopers didn't match the ones of the other already existing Clone Troopers. Though it was a small change, for a perfectionist like myself it was huge!

Yep, the designer said that he added it for fun as his coffee mug.

So yeah, I think they might keep that as a tradition.. (always giving Ackbar his coffee)

It would be a great one anyway

If they are it will be few and far between. TLG seems to be moving towards series 3 of TCW now, meaning Phase II clones.

Although I've had my fill of Phase I Clone Troopers and would like to see more specialized ones. The current Phase I clones have been around since 2009 and I've been waiting for new Phase II Clone Troopers to be released for some time now. I'm ready to army build something new. I think that since the clones in TCW are now in Phase II, now would be as good a time as any for LEGO to move forward.

Hmmm...season 4, you mean?

Oh yeah .

I seriously don't like the direction TLG is taking with this lisence, we are getting too many CW sets  But that's only my opinion after all.

Honestly I am the total opposite! I love the CW!

As do I, my friend.

I am very excited to see the Kamino and Coruscant planet sets! I can't wait to get my hands on them.

That is... if we live to see 2013. :hmpf:

harharhar.

While I like the CW it would be nice to have a little variety in the sets. Right now its all a little too clone centric. Some Zygarians, Nightsisters or even more Mandalorians would have been good to break things up a bit.

I think they go in waves while the New series is on the TV ( Spring ) then Lego mainly release CW sets. Just look at the most recent wave of sets, there was only 3 CW sets in it the rest were from the film series. In fact this years summer wave has been the most varied I've ever seen;

2 Old Republic sets

3 Clone Wars sets

2 Prequel sets

2 original sets

Plus 3 original planet sets.

And if you look at the winter wave from 2012 we got 5 original sets, 1 Prequel set and 2 Clone Wars.

This year was a horrible LEGO year for CW fans. Up until this year, all I ever read about was how upset OT fans were with LEGO. Well, looks like it's time to hear them complain again. Personally I like both the PT and OT so I'm happy every year.

As everyone has said, 2013 sort of makes up for the number of Clone Wars sets we got in 2012. Even if you don't like any Clone Wars sets you can still catch up on the prequel and original trilogy sets from 2012, because they made quite a few of those.

Indeed, it's almost funny how CW has advanced as a theme to the point where every wave draws either complaints from the OT fans or complaints from the CW fans. I'm an OT fan, and I can't say that this wave as a whole pleases me, but I think TLG's got a good rotation between subthemes going and has worked in something for everyone within these last two years that we all expected to be dominated by Menace and Clones sets.

I dislike CW as well, but it should be remembered that the Star Wars license would probably not be so profitable without CW. I think that CW is the reason that the Star Wars Lego line is still going after 13 years.

I have no particular dislikes for the various sub-themes. I love them all the same. In fact, I don't even see them as sub-themes but rather as a whole evolving story. In my opinion the more SW films (animated or not) we get the better. They simply add to the SW Universe and expand it even more and present companies like Lego with more opportunities to bring out new figures and sets.

My only wish is that Lego becomes a bit more "daring" with the sets they bring out. I.e. they start to bring out more Separatist ships and hopefully continue with "architectural" sets (like Jabba's Palace) and bring out stuff like Jedi Temple or Senate Building, etc.

Same here over the past 13 years lego has always really produced ships. Apart from a few location play sets there is a little bit of a void whee those sets should be. However after seeing Jabbas palace and Palpatines arrest this year I have a lot of faith that we will start getting areas important to the saga. After all how many more X-wings and Millenium Falcons can Lego

Keep turning out.

I hope this question is never answered.

I'm happy with the balance of the 2013 sets thus far. There are so many new sets that LEGO can make. The fact that they're taking on TOR sets is a good sign.

A set with the Zygerians and like the slave ship they had, that would be awesome.I think mandolorians have been produced enough, but they do need some nightsisters.

I hadn't seen it that way, I guess you are right.

Nicely put and mostly true for me as well. I have to admit i have a growing dislike for the Clone Wars minifigs, and that does have a certain influence on the overall appeal of Clone Wars sets to me. But when a LEGO model has been designed really well, then it hardly matters to me on what subtheme it's based. I completely agree with you that The Clone Wars series and games like the Old Republic are a nice way to expand and enrich the Star Wars universe, and provides LEGO with an opportunity to release some interesting new designs.

The Rancor looks pretty good, though I was hoping that it was Brick-Built :hmpf_bad:

Really? I thought it was you usually didn't want things to be brickbuilt. :sceptic:

I really like this wave, I love CW just as much as I love OT the only disappointing thing is the SWOTR battle pack I think its a waste of a battle pack I wish TLC would go back to the 4 good guys in one pack and then 4 bad guys in the other thou with that being said I do like the new way because we get a CW battle pack and a OT one in the same year. I am really looking forward to the new A-wing as I have bought the new X-wing and y-wing (which are much better than the older ones which I have) and will go well with them plus i missed Home One but i do have the older red A-wing. The head-hunter is going to be a must have for me as it is a new fighter which has not been done before can't wait to see a pic of that, the AT-RT is not big enough to be a set by itself as the last one in 2005 was bad hopefully their will be more to it but the minifigs will be good. The Rancor pit is great the figures (including the Rancor, glad it is not brick built) are brilliant and are all I had hoped for, but the colour of the pit itself is a bit off but still will go nicely with Jabba's palace. The plant sets sound great, I am not sure why TLC is doing another Endor since it was in the second series but if its coming with a B-wing pilot then that's good. The BARC Speeder better be more than just a BARC with the Minifigs but i have a feeling it will be like the Battle for Geonosis that it will come with a droid something. And last of all the Umbarran Cannon will be sweet and the minifigs sound great.

I think the following comments carry my thoughts as well.

I only really got into CW after a couple sets were made that I liked. I wanted to know more about Cad Bane. Now he is one of my favorite characters. There are no dreams of grandeur for my Lego SW building goals. I just want a small Hoth, Tatooine, Cloud City, Death Star, and Endor. Sets like 8038 and 9516 inspire creativity

I think most AFOLs would agree for the most part. I mean c'mon, the Sith Fury is pure sweetness and light from the dark side! That being said I don't care for the big eyes or cartoon feel of the CW minifigs.

I'm not sure, but I think you can see the new Ackbar at 0.50. :sweet:
