Sam892 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I really like this wave, I love CW just as much as I love OT the only disappointing thing is the SWOTR battle pack I think its a waste of a battle pack I wish TLC would go back to the 4 good guys in one pack and then 4 bad guys in the other I think it's great we're getting a SWTOR battle pack. It shows that LEGO is taking the rest of the universe seriously. Sure we got a force unleashed set a while back but really until this summer wave it's really been the same old set up. It's always been a couple of new CW, a couple of new OT and a load of remakes or Jedi starfighters.
Cwetqo Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) I'm not sure, but I think you can see the new Ackbar at 0.50. I've seen it all and those on video are not even close. I can not give any good news because basic shapes ale already known and details are hard to notice and remember in few seconds. Rancor pit is real one (it was already presented at show) Both A-wing and AT-RT are very simple designs. A-wing is sized the same as 6207, but wings are made differently AT-RT is in size and design somewhere between 7657 and 8014 Headhunter is probably best of all (its shape is already known) Droideka battle pack is really nice, but I dont like old republic battle pack. It includes sith warriors: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100301145624/starwars/images/f/f0/SithWarrior-TOR.jpg Edited September 13, 2012 by Iron Mac Please resize this to site guidelines
Bricktooth Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 That is not a Sith Warrior, but Darth Malgus. Are you thinking about these?
MandaloretheLesser Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) That is not a Sith Warrior, but Darth Malgus. Are you thinking about these? Or maybe what he means is dark Jedi. Edited September 13, 2012 by Iron Mac Quoted image removed
Cwetqo Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Could be (those pics are tiny), but I think that i saw "bald" heads.
Bricktooth Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I wouldn't get LEGO's decision on putting Darth Malgus into the battlepack, since he is a main character, and therefore a poor army builder.
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Too bad they didn't include such one: Sith Warrior They were abundant in those times, so army building would not be much of a problem: Sith Warrior Squad This aside, the upcoming wave is not about to offer very much for my taste. I'll most probably get a bunch of A-Wings and maybe one Rancor cave (on sale) and that's it. While i personally do not spend any blink of an eye on anything CTW or comic related, i do not actually hate them sets coming. Basically the CTW fans getting their much desired thingies seems ok to me. Winning more young customers who like animated stuff might sound reasonable. Hopefully TLG will also do something EP I to VI exclusive not yet announced. A Cloud City or Imperial Inspection anyone?
CF Mitch Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Too bad they didn't include such one: *snip* What do you mean, 'too bad they didn't...'? We don't even know what will be included yet. I actually think there's a good chance there will be at least one figure similar to that picture. Also, a while ago it was said that the Sith Troopers have red armor so I hope they look like the Korriban Troopers in the game Though any other type will be nice as well. Regards, Mitch

Regards, Mitch Exactly all the images that have been shown are priminaries. As such we could get anything and we will only have to wait and see. Seeing these prototype set pictures is like watching Avengers without the special effects. We all need to see more before we can call sets rubbish.
CF Mitch Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Wait, there were preliminary images? Guess I missed those Where would I be able to find them? Regards, Mitch
Hulk_Smash Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Wait, there were preliminary images? Guess I missed those Where would I be able to find them? Regards, Mitch They havent been released.
CF Mitch Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Oh. Now I'm confused Anyway... so like I said, I think the Sith Warrios will look like the ones Ki-Adi-Mundi suggested. And I hope the troopers will look like the ones known as 'Korriban Troopers' in the game, but they grey-ish kind might be cool as well. Though it would make more sense if they're the same as the ones that came with the Fury, so that it would be a bit more of an army-builder Regards, Mitch
RaincloudDustbin Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I don't collect Star Wars anymore but that Rancor set sure looks nice.
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I would certainly like a sith warrior, I hope they make him
Super Brick Collector Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I would certainly like a sith warrior, I hope they make him If the SWTOR sets are selling well then I bet they'll continue to make more sets which I don't mind at all.

They are the individual "Darth"'s. Just like each Jedi is a unique named character with a distinct individual appearence. sticking one in an army building battle pack sort of wastes an army builder fig. It would be great to get a few more Sith. I just don't think we will see them in a battle pack. While I like the CW it would be nice to have a little variety in the sets. Right now its all a little too clone centric. Some Zygarians, Nightsisters or even more Mandalorians would have been good to break things up a bit. I'm kind of surprised they didn't have some sort of Darth Maul return set in this group. Or a young Boba Fett Bounty Hunter set? Or how about a pair of Trandosian and Wookie Battle Packs? I realize the allure that the OT has in all things. But what could possibly be new or exciting in another A Wing set at this point? This will be version 4 or 5? For something that was on screen for 12 seconds and wasn't a hero ship? The same could be said of the ATRT.
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 still waiting for preliminaries.... Just like everyone else, I hope we do get some

There are many nonunique Sith - the equivalent of an Imperial Stormtrooper kind of.
admiral phil Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Very nice! Rancor, as far as i know, will be fifty usd, planets should be ten usd
Bobsy Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 In TOR It is different. There are many nonunique Sith - the equivalent of an Imperial Stormtrooper kind of. Er, not exactly. The term "Sith" can be alternately applied to both Dark Side force users and people aligned to the Sith Empire, but the force users themselves do not form military units. Every force user in the Empire is a unique and beautiful snowflake, awarded far higher social and political status than non-force-sensitives. They are by no means the equivalent of stormtroopers. It's more like there are thousands and thousands of Darth Vaders running around. I do think it's unlikely that the set will have anything but Republic and Sith Troopers in it. I'm not discounting the idea of a Sith Warrior completely though, as I think Lego will want to re-use the Malgus armour if they can.
